yeah thanks Alex!

So it's Dylan's last night in Australia tonight 8O :?

We had our last shred today, but mainly just fucked around and had fun. Probably my last chance to have a lot of fun playing footbag for a while. I'm going to have a shred in a couple of days for the camera with some very specific things to hit (some of you will know what I'm talking about) and then I'm going to have a two week break then go into some intesive training. All drilling - lots of hard work - probably every day. Then I go to Europe.

My brother's girlfriends dad burnt her drivers licence. Actually he burnt her all wallet. 8O

Anyway I'm really glad Dylan came to Australia and I managed to get to spend so much time with him. I don't know if my game has improved a great deal - maybe, maybe not - but I think my perception of it has changed a lot and I can see this leading to me improving a great deal.

I'm going to set some goals for my game now.

1. Start training may 12.
2. Ultra discipline - 2 hours a day of drilling minimum. 1 day a week off if required.
3. 5 reps of 40 situps - starting tomorrow - An extra rep or 10 alternating every week until worlds.
4. 4 reps of 30 pushups - starting tomorrow - An extra rep or 10 alternating every week until worlds.
5. To only eat healthy food.
6. No drugs
7. Maximum of 3 beers in a night and 10 in a week.

Dicipline, determination, desire, dedication.

So I saw Dylan off last night at 6 in the morning. Had a really fun night. Can't wait to shred with him again. Having today and tomorrow off footbag I think. Totally pumped for euros.

yeah they're hard. But I know I can do them.

I spent today going over the footage we have. I have a stupid amount of footage - like maybe 8 hours. Admitadly probably about 3 or 4 of those hours are people doing stupid things not related to footbag, but it's still a lot. I'm actually going to have to cut out runs I had decided were good enough for the vid which is cool. I'm sure you don't want to see the same combos being hit twice. There should be some really good footage anyway. Probably not anything amazing - at least from me since I was playing on a knee injury the entire time (hence the two week break coming up) - but I think the footage is still more than worthy.

The goals are going well. I'm on my 3rd beer for the week - but that's fine. Although there's still over half a case in the fridge - same to let it go stale...

I watched Sin City for the second time tonight - really cool movie. Will definitly go see it when it comes out at the theater...

Other than that, things have been pretty unexciting. My footy team got flogged again last night. We're like 2 and 4 - which is really sad.

My relationship with sport is weird. I think it's pretty meaningless on one level - and yet the euphoria sport can induce is incredible. I guess with anything, if you work really hard at something and then achieve beyond your expectations, you'll love that feeling - you'll become addicted to it.

I don't think I've felt that incredible high from sport very often. Winning bronze at my first national touch footy tournament is definitly one of those moments. As is scoring the winning touch down at the state schools tournament on the moment time ran out. I don't know if I've ever had the same feeling in footbag, but I'm sure one day I will. Definitly I love footbag way more than other sports - but I guess I've always felt like I'm trying to get somewhere in it - every improvement means I have more to improve on. One day I'll feel like I've reached the peak - that will be like those touch football moments.

Ah ha - my brother's girlfriend has just agreed to give me my brothers t-shirts. The ones that she doesn't like - but that's cool. You'll see two of them in the vid!! Don't look at the logo - look what it says... :D

Oh I caught up with the coolest friend the other day. I hadn't seen him in years - but he was one of the guys I played footbag with at school when I was just starting out at freestyle - over 3 years ago now!!

Last time I saw him was in the middle of Melbourne at nearly midnight - he had an ironing board under his arm...

I'm a very unsentimental person. I believe that if you can't remember something, it's not worth remembering. But everytime I bump into old friends I wonder what other old friends are doing now. It's amazing how some of us are completely different and others are exactly the same. I think I'm pretty similar - except maybe a little crazier. One girl from my class at school now has at least three children - probably more by now. That's pretty crazy. Another friend is dead from a stupid car crash where he was drunk, speeding, didn't have a drivers licence (being too young) and wasn't wearing a seatbelt. Actually that happened just before I started playing footbag, and sometimes I think the reason why I got into the sport - the reason why I was so fanatical in the beginning, was because I was trying to get over my grief. I don't know if I ever really will, but I guess you learn to accept events like that.

Life really is very short and precious. My god this is a ramble - and I'm not even drunk... How does this happen. I guess sitting at a computer for 8 hours going over raw footbag footage can do that to you...

Oh well, I should hopefully be finished tomorrow or the day after!

You have no idea how angry I am right now.

Trying to decide where the next Australian Footbag Championships are and I just got totally ripped apart. It seems that the best way to win an arguement is slander the opposition. Of course dirt sticks, even if it's not true - and for anybody who read what Dan Ednie had to say about me - it was all either lies or half truths.

What makes it worse is that I feel like I can no longer be honest in this blog. This blog is a diary for me. I often post things I wouldn't normally say because I feel like I can be honest here. Well that's clearly not the case.

I see little point in ever posting in this blog again.

In fact I see little point in ever going to another footbag tournament in Australia.

If I were as mature as Dan I'd go and write a bunch of lies about him too, but of course I won't.

Fuck I'm going to stop writing now because otherwise I'll say something I regret.

edit: I'm locking my blog until I change my mind (if I ever do). If you have something to say to me about this you'll have to pm me.

Argh fuck.

I don't think I've ever been this angry in my life. To have somebody write those fucking lies like that. Not only that but the fact that already people believe it even though they were fucking there and should know that it's all fucking bullshit.

I am as enraged as I will ever get. I'm destroying my ear drums listening to rage against the machine as loud as I can and I've done over 700 sit ups and 400 pushups and I'm still as fucking pissed off as I was when I read that.

Argh. That fucking fucker. I can't believe anything can make me this angry.

Footbag is my life. To be criticised about it is the same as criticising my life.. Fuck this is the worst feeling ever. I don't know what to do. To defend every lie or to fuck australian footbag for ever. I don't like either choice.

I really am more angry than you can ever imagine.

Turning almost every australian footbagger against me so that you can hold a tournament - making me feel like they'll probably despise me for ever based on lies. That's about as low as you can get. I'm on the verge of tears right now. I have bruises on my knuckels from punching brick walls. I can't imagine ever forgiving this.

Perhaps a few people would like an explanation of what happened.

Basically at the ausfootbag website proposals for where the next Australian Championships were going to be held were being discussed. There were two proposals - one from the Melbourne Footbag Club and one from the Tasmanian University Hacky Society. A person representing the MFC made a long and very hurtful (and untrue) post saying that he didn't think the event should be held by the Tas Uni Hacky Society because that would mean that I would be helping to organise it and I'm a bad person.

As much as those comments hurt, the fact that people either believed them or thought that such a personal attack was appriopriate for discussion of where the event should be held hurt just as much. I really feel like those comments of turned the Australian Footbag community against me. Nobody came to my defence, nobody said that those comments were inappropriate - rather some people commented that both our actions were inappropriate. What the fuck were my actions - I responded in a mature and civil manner - I don't know what else I could have done.

Anyway for now I'm not having anything to do with the Australian Footbag Scene and might never. It's really too late - people need to learn that their actions have consequences - you can't pretend things that happened didn't. I really don't want to have anything to do with any of those people.

The fact that they used this very blog against me really makes me furious. I have a much higher regard for the people on this forum than to think that any criticism I make in this blog about the quality of judges at a tournament will change your perception of the footbag scene in Australia.

Obviously these comments might to do that - if so, well I don't really care anymore. For a while I've wanted to build the Australian scene into one of the best footbag scenes in the world. Through getting people who organise really big events - rather than footbaggers to help organise the next Australian champs I thought we could achieve this. However it's not the case. It doesn't matter that these people have delt with events with budgets of over $200,000 or that they've been doing for longer than I've been playing footbag. All that matters apparantly is what I write in here and the fact that I threw a footbag in disgust after my shred 30 at the Aus champs. Obviously somebody who expresses their anger is not suitable to be part of a committee of people organising a tournament.

It really makes me very sad and hurt. But I don't see any other option than to not be involved. I can never forgive the person for spreading the lies about me. I can never forgive the people for reading it and not at least commenting on it's relevancy or seeing the difference between what I write hear and in the discussion of venues.

In happier news I've almost finished my vid from my shreds with Dylan in the last week of his stay in Australia. I have way too much footage and have actually had to cut out some good runs, although I think most of the runs I cut out are similar to runs that are in the video.

I love footbag more than anything else in the world and I really hope that I've had a positive effect on the growth of the sport. I really don't know if that's true and recent events make me feel very unsure - but I will continue to support the sport as much as I can.

Sad and depressed...

I just deleted two posts from this blog. I know you meant no harm but I still feel a great deal of resentment towards people who call themselves my friends yet fail to make an effort to defend me from horrible viscious attacks. I urge you not to waste your time posting in my blog again. If you have something to say - email it to me.

Another thing that really pissed me off about the whole thing is all the people acting like the debate was a personal battle between myself and the other guy. Clearly that was not the case. He attacked me. I withdrew from the debate. He attacked me again. I said his attacks really hurt, that I wanted no part of it and asked if he could stop. Other people attacked me for being in the debate. I decided to have nothing to do with those people ever again. I don't see where in that I was taking part in the debate.

I feel like it will be impossible to reconcile with the people involved. It's fucked. I will try my best to stop commenting on this - I'm sure everybody is bored of it.

I'm going to finish my video tonight. I've kind of lost motivation so it may die towards the end - but the footage will still be good.

haha i wish i knew more about soccer so i could fit in around here, but ive never followed it.
Although soccer isnt really that big in Wales, or so it seems to me, so maybe im saved a bit.

Fuck i wish i could watch your video Jeremy, it would be good to see some current shred from you. Unfortunately my internet access here is very limited so im missing this and also the last couple of Jorden videos.

Ill make up for it by actually BEING AT FOOTJAM!!

I definitely agree with you about Dylan, he is a real champ. It was so cool getting to spend a fair bit of time shredding and chilling with him in Aus, cant wait to meet up again in Europe.

Jeremy your video kicks ass. I unfortunately couldn't see it with the soundtrack (work reasons), but the video was great!
I especially liked: the phoenix / quantum / smog / pigbeaters with their respective backgrounds! That was funny as hell.

shred wise: WOW Jeremy you are as the swiss would say shuffle-meister! I broke a sweat just watching you shred! You must be in pretty damn good shape to pull off that kind of shred.

that bs smog was the shit too!

Dylan is so Lon-esque it rules! I really really like his game as I'm trying to do similar things at the moment with my game (and am no where close...).

Great vid

Hey thanks heaps Max and Ian. It's such a shame you couldn't hear the music. Especially the third song (the one I missed off from the credits) - some of the scenes I'm playing in a shirt with McDonalds logo on it but underneath it says "motherfucker" (not sure if you can read this) the third song is butterfingers - Yo Mama! :P

Ian: So jealous of you for being at Footjam. Can't wait to play with both you guys at Euros...

Ah, I just asked about the Mac shirt in the videos section :)

Awesome work jeremy, the backside smear in the toilet was hilarious,
as well as the pigbeater! :)

I couldn't watch it with sound either (work reasons, too), but I will
d/l it at home asap. Definately one of my new fav videos!

I'm still downloading the video Jeremy, but I'm excited!! :P Oh hey, AC Milan won against PSV in the first leg but they lost 1-3 in the second leg! :( I hope AC Milan wins the Champions League though; Maldini and Nesta are awesome defenders, and Seedorf and Pirlo are wicked midfielders. And they've got Shevchenko, Kaka, and Inzaghi up front!! Who could ask for anything more?!

Finally I have a some good news to post in my blog!

I went and had a light kick at the local uni today - I know I'm not meant to but I went pretty easy. In total I think we had 7 people - which is very impressive - and all these guys are keen to kick regularly. There were also a few people missing. I also recruited two more guys while eating lunch - although it's hard to know if they will take it beyond circle kicking or not.

The Hobart scene is going really well. We've just started a new bigger club than the Uni club, and while we're not going to host the Australian champs any more, we're already planning a huge event in December next year (a long way away!) We have 3 people who have organised events much bigger than any Australian footbag tournament so I'm pretty confident it should be a huge success. My brother is on the National Executive to the United Nations Youth Association - so he organises events with budgets of over $200,000. Glenn (the guy doing the eyeball thing) is a professional street performer although only does corporate demos these days and has organised the biggest skate comps in Tasmania - he also has contacts everywhere and knows all the people who give out grants etc. Angus this year organised the Hobart Fringe Festival - a 7 day event which had some awesome stuff going on all through it - presumably with a really big budget too!

All in all I'd say the Hobart scene is very strong, probably the strongest in Australia - the only thing it's lacking is players with experience - but I'm already changing that. I drilled the guys who were there today on some stuff I thought they should work on and saw immediate progress.

Oh yeah - I've seen two girls who can toe stall back and forth. That might not sound that impressive but I'm pretty sure Hobart is the only scene in Australia with one girl who plays. Only one of them was at the kick today and she was just stopping by to say hello but it's awesome anyway.

Despite my apparant bad character meaning I am unable to organise a good tournament - it's clear that I'm not really needed in making sure our tournament will be huge.

Nice to hear good news from you Jeremy! It's cool.

And yeah. I'm so happy that Liverpool beat Chelsea... You know In Liverpool plays a polish goalkeeper! Jurek Dudek is greate! Sometimes he has some accidents at work, but he is still so good! And about AC Milan. They are always my favourites! I knew that they will win with PSV, but I remember what happened in the last year, in quarterfinals, in the 2nd game with Deportivo, and I saw how they played yesterday too! Oh shit.. This game was so dramatic! I was shouting loudly from the excitement (it was a little bit painfull, because I have got sore throat). And at the end the time was running so slow! Oh.. sorry.. this isn't my blog... I wrote too much here

lol - aha the enemy... - glare.

To be honest I'm quitely confident we'll win. I think I called it a month ago or so... But I guess to be honest I usually call my teams to win the comp if they're close. :P

Also I just wanted to apologise to anybody who has spoken to my brother. He's just awed by your footbag skills and wants to impress you. I get him back by saying stupid things to his nerd friends. Oh but Allan out nerded him on footbag chat - aha!! :D
