I'm a believe in communication , and it can solve most problems. It's just that if the communication is fuzzy or is lost inbetween for some reason than it's not effective. Such as you running off and he gets a certain idea in his head that something wasn't cool, so being a jerk, he freaks out on you. If he really knew that you were skipping and he got a free drink, he'd prolly like you a lot more than now. "Before you start beating on my arm, let me say ______." Just try to slow him down at first, most people will listen before they act. Unless they are already in some sort of animal like rage.
