Shawn makes a bad-ass burger!!!!!

We played at the park where this is going to be held, it's pretty sweet. I've already scouted out an area for 4 square. I think I'll make them Lane sized this time... this is gonna be so much fun. Someone remind me to put up more bags for prizes this time.

Oh, Tom can you bring that kicking object type apperatus thingy?
Kamil, can you bring that huge-mungous crocheted bag?
Tim, can you wake the fuck up?

yeah im excited too. everyday i shred there more and more kids have been becoming interested. They tell im the best and i tell them come here june 5th to find out how much further this sport goes.

I sold 4 bags already. Kids have been atempting ATWS pendulums mirages. And i know they will love 4 square.

i should put my order in for that bad ass firsbee i want so we can play frisbee all night :)

The saturday before that there is a huge proffesional skateboard demo. Im thinking it would be a great place to promote sundays event and sell bags. I will be doing this no matter so if hiking to the southside 2 days in a row is to much hassle its cool. If not the more the marrier.

Yo Shawn, I'll bring a couple frisbees. I love throwin' around a disc on a nice day.

Speaking of which, I think there are going to be scattered thunderstorms on sunday. Will there be some covered area to shred under?? I'm sure you've thought about that already, I'm just curious. Later

I just got off the phone with Shawn and he asked me to post some updates since he's been having trouble with his cable internet.

-Rain is in the forecast for tomorrow afternoon. Other than that it will be hot and humid. This event is still going to happen.
-He'll be scouting around for a covered backup spot today so we can still cook and and kick.
-We are still meeting at the park at 1pm. If it starts to rain we will got to the backup spot.

Wow. I am absolutely blown away on how great this was. I guess im just so used to a group of freinds who blow things off within the first excuse possible.

I mean the amount of people playing footbag was crazy you would need more than two hands to count them.

Its the southside of chicago and everywhere i look i see a footbag in flight This is a dream i have for the southside on a daily-weekly basis. Things like you guys showing support teaching kids 4 square selling bags is just what the south side needed. There couldnt have been a single spectator not jealous of the fun we were having and i hope that sticks with them.

everybody was on there game and having fun.

Theres just so much i could say im not even gonna try. Everybody kicked and everbody laughed and everybody got some good grub. WHAT MORE CAN YOU ASK FOR!!!!?

Hey reed thanks for the sun tan lotion. Im burning up so bad and im really scared to imagine how much pain i would be if i hadnt used any.

Lets not stop here lets make every jam as fun and tasty as this one.

IM GONNA SLEEP LIKE A FREAKING BABY. 1:30 - 8:30 of footbag fun 8O

IT was very much my pleasure. I want to thank everyone for playing so hard and so long.

Reid and eric are god dam machines. They had a guiltless contest around 6:30 7ish that had to last at least an hour maybe longer.

the reason why i mention this is because before this contest they were shredding in the sun non stop since 2:00!!!!!!

The only dissapointment is the lack of acountability of my old dear freind john holubec. the prior night we were out and i told him 50 times to bring his camera. not only did he arrive late as hell he didnt bring the camera. He has a severe beat down coming his way.

Yeah thanx for organizing the event Shawn. And havin' the bbq was a genius idea. Especially when we were out shreddin' for like...8 hours or something?!!!

Also thanx for Zeke and Tom for the additional grub. Next time we bbq i'll bring some reimbursement meat. But Shawn better be there to help those of us who are grilling impaired

Tom had some nice, stylie shred as always. Makes flurry look easy somehow. And I just love that toe set, rev swirling toe dealie.

Jon talked about a lot of weird shit as always.

Reid hit tomahawk bsos and blurry whirl bsos in the same run i believe.

Shawn's gotten a lot better. I swear I saw him pixie set like a foot over his head.

Camille (i spelled that wrong?) your runs have gotten a lot longer. You seemed a little frustrated yesterday but all your stuff looked good to me.

Zeke, I didn't really shred with you much. You were rockin' the 4-square most of the day. Sick quantums as always.

Maynard hit a sweet frantic set earlier in the day. Then his symposium double legover looked like a set too. Wonton Atomic??!

Alrighty, time to rest my body and scattered sun burns, and post in the FTB footblog.

the jam was awesome  fact

Eric Siegel. super smooth. big moves look so easy. love it
Reid........... Powerhouse. swirling same reverse twirl 8O
Kamil......... STEPping osis. :D
Shawn....... great jam. great BBQ. didn't freestyle with you :x

Mike............. good 4-square. atomic ducking :?:
Ryan & Mike. very cool
Josh............. came :)

Zeke....... always makes the circle more fun x 7
Meinard.. always happy to see you
Jon.........
Imta & Eilera  :(

Me  tired
</pre>

So I had lots o' fun. My arrow thing above got a little out of hand. It very nearly rained and in fact there were storms all over the city, but it remained nice and sunny were we were. Everyone got a tan. The BBQ was so good. We should do it every time. Thanks for the dogs and fixins, Shawn diddy.

I had no energy for some reason, and wanted to nap or lay down most of the time  , but I still had a kilogram of fun. 4 square was massive@ Crazy ass saves! I was on game point forever. So fun. Shred was awesome from what I saw (not much). Highlights following arrows above.

Eric hits moves so cleanly and relaxed. Blurry whirls looks like toe stall. Reid goes dex wild.

There were a bunch of newbies. They played in circles and they learned 4 square. Harry Potter played!

I haven't had this much fun at a Chicago event in such a long time. Everything just went right. Even though heavy rains were expected that day it only drizzled slighty for a few minutes. The rest of the day was mostly sunny and hot. Most of the Chicago area shredders came out to this. Dozens of southside locals came and kicked with us and I'd like to think that they were blown away at the variety this sport has to offer. We kicked with all different kinds of objects, showed them some kicking and freestyle basics, told them what websites to visit for more detailed info in the sport, taught and played lots of 4 square and just had a great time playing all day. I was extremely pleased to see the more advanced kickers playing with the new ones. I was even more pleased to see the new players gutting it out at 4 square, they hung in there with the bigs boys and showed no signs of quitting... beautiful, absolutely beautiful.

Most of the locals had only ever hacked with crocheted bags or some of the Revolution and Freedom sandbags that Kamil and Shawn were selling. They were blown away by some of the more unique kicking objects we were playing with.
-gigantic crocheted footbag, about 5-6 inches in width
-takraw
-chainmail
-shuttlecock kicker

I'll post more and upload pics when I get off work...

Hey Zeke, where did you pick up that chainmail thing?? I'd like to get one. It was surprisingly easy to shred with.
