it does sound louder. Some symposium moves sound like a sonic 'boom' ;)

Good surface to play on. Softer landings than concrete, but less grippy. My lavers are worn pretty low for 3yo shoes (but not as bad as some - I'm looking at you, Jeremy :) ) so the surface felt kinda slippery, but we had no problems.

I recomend it for colder weather.

Lol, sounds like it was good, Gareth.

I had a shred by Thursday night. Wasn't too bad, I guess it was to test out the knee (it was sore). Things seemed to go fine and I was hitting some OK stuff.

Drifter>osis bs (Drifters are so much easier now)
paradon>ripwalk (only one side because the flip side meant i had to dex with my sore knee)
FLIP PS WHIRL! (Beat ya Gareth :P Just as foxy said, hehe  )

I hit some other stuff, none of which comes to mind at 2:50am.

thats it, cya.

Oh, just remembered something! Alex Urano said he is coming to BrisVegas these school Holidays. Wo0o0o0ot!
Hagesy, Alex, Foxy, Gareth, Jesse = sweet circle :D
Inform us on the details Alex.
Hopefully back one day.

Had a good sesh lastnight.
Was schooling spinning, stepping, drifters and gyro.
Hit some pretty long smooth runs. At the moment it feels as though I need to school super hard to improve, otherwise I feel like improvement is taking forever. Lastnights sesh was pretty damn long. I was sweating so much. My aims are:
10 consec spinning clips bs
gyro clip>diving clip rpt
and 10 tripless

Up for a Shred soon Gareth????
Hopefully back one day.

Had a kick with Foxy on Sunday.
We'd had a big night, the night before, but it's a kind of tradition, so we had to play.

Hmmm. to be honest, it was a pretty poor session. We were both pretty weak and tired. Some tricks really seemed like an effort to attempt, so we only stayed for a little over an hour.
Nothing really exciting to report.
However, Foxy did hit a flipside ripwalk. He's had troubles with that for a while, just bailing to a clipper and not hitting that last butterfly out of the set, but he's starting to get it, slowly.

Session again tonight. We've both really stepped up our playing. This will be the third time this week that we've played... pretty good for me.

Will let you know how we go - if anything good is hit.

Ok... so I'm back.
Only just got back - no emails and waiting for Jeremys photos to load on Ausfootbag, so I'll post in the blog.

Good session with Foxy tonight. It started out slow, but not too slow.
Foxy's getting some cool combos and is loving his spinning. Osis>spinning Osis, spinning mirage, Diving clipper>spinning clipper... he's really schooling both sides, which is great, although he still has a distinct strong side.
He's hitting atom smasher more regularly now and his atomic sets are starting to come along nicely. He's getting some good height off a straight set now, so he's going to start experimenting with that soon, I know it.

Me.
Hmmm. Tonight I hit a few firsts... stepping switch, atomic switch, and... the big one...

FLIPSIDE DIMWALK!

I've had pixies on one side for 2 and a half years, now, but never had a filpside pixie. Well, tonight I schooled and schooled and finally started getting some height off my set and I'm stoked to say that I hit a (sloppy) flipside dimwalk.
That was really encouraging for me. 3 new tricks in one night!

Good session.

Well well well.
Had a 2 hour session tonight
Schooled nothing but barraging

HIT JANIWALKER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so happy with this because it took me soooooooooooo many attemtps. I kept snagging the bag so i thought...Well obviously im doing something wrong. So I sat my ass down and looked at some barraging sets. I think i worked out what i was doing wrong. I got up and hit it in the next 4 attempts. NOT ON CAMERA! I tried so many times on camera and then hit it off camera. So for the next hour i tried to get it on camera. Footed it a million times but no cigar. :(
Hopefully back one day.

But, the question is... was every post worthwile?

Had a solo session today. I got a squash court at my gym and played for about an hour. I schooled a bit of everything: stepping, bs pixie (at last I can school a flipside :D ), illusions and pdx illusions, switch, infinities, osis, and opp clippers.
You could say that I'm improving, though ever so slightly. I had a slight fall while trying ripwalk, at one stage. My right foot (going in for the delay) caught my left and I rolled onto my left ankle (the one I rolled really badly at Aust Champs '04). I hit the ground but didn't do any damage. I found that walking it off was a good thing and I took my time before trying any more ripwalks.
I've also noticed a 'twinge' in my right hip. It's really obvious when I try atomic with that leg dexing the set, so I didn't school that side. However, my other side (probably my strong side, though it's hard to tell) is getting really strong and high. I've got more controll of the bag now and I'm thinking about set placement more.

I'll probably have a kick with the Brisie crew on the weekend. I've got a big night planned for Saturday - it's a party thing for my gym, at a hip nightclub. Cheep drinks. Should be good.
So any Sunday kicks will be late ones.

Yes, I did, Hagsey.

Oh, and some juicy news for the Brisbane scene with whispers of a certain shredita, who's been MIA for some time now, turning up for the comming Monday night shred. More details when there's details to be had.

I'm nearing the finishing touches to a 'highlights' video from the BCS. I had all these big ideas and good intentions of making another '[insert title here]' sort of film but... well I just didn't feel inspired to do that. As I was working through it I started, wiped all my work, and started again. I'm somewhat content with what it's looking like. It's not ground breaking or anything, but it 'should' mean something to the people that were there on the Saturday, in the circle that I was filming.
It's almost been a year (well, it was in September, last year) since the BCS and I've been slack with getting this footage out. So I thought I should just bite the bullet and release it.
Again, it won't be anything flash, but it'll be something.

I should have it finished and uploaded by tomorrow.

I went out, last night.
It re-affirms to me why I hate going out. Nightclubs and alcahol turn people into idiots. It's total social bullshit, all night long.
Pubs and live music, however... that promotes something more social in people. People are usually nicer and easier to deal with because it's all about the music - the experience.

Anyway, I had a kick with Foxy today. It lasted for about 1hr 15mins and took place in the undercover car park of 'A-mart Allsports', in Kedron.
It was a good session in which I felt more like freestyling than schooling. I think the mood was carried over to Foxy as he seemed to be more relaxed in how he was playing.
His pixie set is really comming along nicely, though he is very one sided. He's coming so close to smear that it's frustrating for both him and me. I've also noticed that he's modifying his clippers, somewhat, and it's improved his game emmencely. As I've said before, he's coming close to various spins (both sides) and his ducks are completely better than what he was hitting before he stopped playing. His flip whirl is still an issue for him with him not completing the motion of the dex properly, so he ends up only doing half the move.
He had some nice strings, too and it's good to see that we're both not afraid of bailing to a toe every now and again.
My flip Pixie hasn't improved much. I definately need to school it alot before I hope for too much more, but that's cool. I've been playing alot more, reciently and it shows. My Stepping sets are of an average relyability. I'm not disappointed in them - I'm still hitting the odd trick (shmo, ripwalk and some other stepping moves), but it's just not consistant enough. Funny enough, my strong pixie set was letting me down today and I found that frustrating. I think it has to do with the bag not being heavy enough for me. I'm desperate for a new bag and am thingking about getting a bag off Jeremy O'Wheel when I can afford it.
My atomics are getting a little one sided, with my right toe set being a much more relyable set for me. I think it has to do with my right hip being sore when I try it flipside.
My strong side whirls were a supprise for me, today, too. I was coming close to hitting whirl from a number of different variations, but no joy. Symp whirl is still there... just on the tip of being owned, but not yet. I'm trying so hard to hit it mid-run, but I'm just not getting there. I have a rough idea as to what's stopping me, but I need to school it more.

Next session is tomorrow night, at South Bank. Looking forward to it because I'm looking forward to footbag again.
