No Hands. This is footbag!
People, people, people,
there is no need for arguing anymore. I believe i have found THE solution that will satisfy both party's:
BEHOLD!

Come to every session, jam, and tourny equipped with these and no one can become upset with you! Catch the pass with the pan, then use the tongs to pull the bag out and drop it to a toe stall or kick of you prefer. No hands involved!

Hello, my name is Iain George.
First off, I agree with everyone who said you should use your feet not your hands. It's one thing to use your hands to serve the bag. But if you're one of those people who self serves in a shred circle at a tournament you shouldn't have come in the first place. No one gives a shit if you can do your mirage on the third try. Or maybe you "self servers" should create your own club.
Damon,
All I have to say to you is look at the people your arguing with. Eli, Allan, and Peter Irish! These guys could shred you up with their eyes closed. These are 3 veterans of the game. You are entitled to your opinion, but arguing with these guys makes you look stupid. Almost as much as self-serving does. If you think serving to yourself over and over is going to help your game then go right ahead. I'd say some sit-ups would be more effective.

so the veterans of the game are untouchable in debates? because they created the game entirely on their own and laid down the rules at the beginning? or did that...not...happen. i am awed by the game of a lot of the people in this forum, especially the big names, but that doesnt make them untouchable in the least. they are human and open to public debate. just because they are awesome at footbag doesnt mean they arent wrong in some of their opinions, even in the sport they excel in.Jimpenske wrote: All I have to say to you is look at the people your arguing with. you just have to offend everyone equallyFlamin' Damon wrote:Praise fucking Allah/God/yourself/whoever/nothing-at-all!
(see how fucked up having to be politically correct is? I can't even be myself without having to include each group, yet I bet someone will be offended)

ok i dont give a crap about self serving, but about jason crook beating jim penske, you are completley wrong. i totally doubt jason is anywhere near as consistant as jim or on his technical level.
(sorry that isnt about the main thing, but i feel like damon saying something like that is way untrue considering how sick jim is)

but anyway.
good point...similar to what i said earlier, personal attacks are seperate completely from shredding ability. just because you can shred my ass to pieces (that goes for ALL of younathan wrote:damn, this thread is depressing.
Since when is footbag about whose crew is better, and who can outshred who? Lets leave that to skateboarding forums.

Ya, our footbag club was talking about this one session. We thought it would be like gang wars with footbag clubs...it would be so funny.FlexThis wrote:Head-to-head shred hasn't been explored yet, but we can sure take it there, and it might even be fun.
Like 2 crews walk up and one guy from each side comes out and they have a battle with each side cheering their guy on...it would be soo funny. I would do it.
It would be totally gangsta'... I guess you could call it a Gangsta' Party. (pun intended)
