my mini that i own is the best bag ive ever had and it took it 4 months to get that way, constant hand rolling and fingertipping it, kicking it and washing it. 4 MONTHS!!! its a sick bag now but that was wayyy to long imo. Another plain abshire that i owned took over 3 months and i couldnt even kick with it because it was soo rolly and a stitch popped.
but minis r worth it i geuss.

Paul Munger of the Original BAP sold broke in bags that he broke in himself by putting them in the washing machine a lot.
I throw all my unbroken in bags into the wash everytime I wash my clothes and it takes about 1-6 months to break in a bag.
I am collecting broke in bags that have holes in them.
Repair and then wash and then Resell. That's my plan.

Jake,
No offense but I kick with Richy regularly, and the only way one of the bags that I recieve from him gets holes in it is if the player(s) are not picking the bag up properly or are mistreating the bag another way. I have owned MANY abshires, probably more then most of the freestylers in the country, probably due to the fact that I kick with Richy and don't play with anything but his bags. So my opinion of them is through experience.
I can understand that you paid a whopping $39 for a bag, it's alot, it really is. I can also see that you have only had the bag so long before its already deteriorating, so that coupled with the payment is obviously frustrating. However, I don't understand how its developed holes so quickly. Explain to me how you pick the bag up and treat it, because there is no way through consistent well-treating that it is that bad. His stitching is renowned so it's obviously due to wear of the bags panels, and that only comes from poor management.
Breaking in is another story. One again I have owned alot of his bags and I have had a few that don't break in completely but are still easily playable. Sometimes it depends on the bag, because a loose stitch and an 8,9, 10 break in differently but I must say, three weeks with just random hand stretching/rubbing should have it broken in. Lately, his bags have become increasingly more and more broken in as I buy them new. I don't know if it's a different approach or what, but they continually surprise me with effectiveness.
Take some time to evaluate your time with the bag before you respond, I look forward to reading it.

i have had both an abshire mini and regular. the mini was starting to break in very nicely after 3-4 months. the regular, however, didn't break in as fast. I lost them both at the same time and neither was FULLY broken in
and there's my pointless abshire story. nah, i'll make it have a point. your minis break in great. you don't need break in filler for them.

Just send it back to me with a dollar for shipping and I will fix it for you. Remember guys and girls, I offer a service policy for all my bags no matter where or who you bought them from. Sometimes the bag you buy might be a level ahead of what you think a bag should be and therfore you might be more harsh than you might think. I have tested all my colors on 1000,s of bags and my results are concrete. I don't get bad batches of facile. I order mine in sheets, not scraps. If your bag started forming holes it might be the surface you play on or how you pick up the bag off the ground. Just a thought. Richard
Shame on freedom footbags? Daryl is the nicest guy ever and you should never say that again. He has sponsored so many events and people (INCLUDING ME!). He has contributed so much to footbag. And its $4 for him to ship ANYWHERE
Shame on you!
Shame on you!
