Haha, that's funny! I totally forgot about the previous post, but I accidentally footed mobius yesterday... huhuh.
I met up with (part of) the Brussels crew + Max yesterday. Max gave me some really helpful pointers on PS whirl. It turns out that my flipside has once again overtaken my strongside
But the absolute highlight of the afternoon was undoubtedly playing a bit of doubles with Max. Doubles is fun!
He showed me some basic stuff (I mean: basic for him, but all the more confusing for me!). Dude! The key is to really focus on your own legs, not on the other guys'; you can't control those anyway. This may sound logical, but it took me some time to figure that one out. After that, even the most basic flow is pure fun.
Still, sometimes Max had to repeat stuff over and over. The funny thing is that I understood what he was saying, but I didn't manage to visualise it

, which is key for me if I wanna master something. Perhaps I was too tired.
The advantage of doubles is that to spectators everything looks twice as hard.

Shit, I should update this blog more often. I had at least two more sessions between the previous post and this one, but I remember little about them.
Oh yeah, one of them was short but satisfying, an other one longer and less satisfying, and still an other was just weeeeird.
After ten minutes into my warm-up, I heard some kids on the other side of the court saying: "Hey look, it's that guy again. He's good. Let's watch him". I was like: "ok" and continued. Eventually, they stayed, we talked, and I lent them a bag to toy around with.
The eldest was about 12, the others were two brothers of 9 and 6, I guess.
Around ten, the 12 year old got picked up by his dad, which I thought was relatively late already.
The other two, however, stayed, stayed, and stayed some more. They were always asking for attention and confirmation from my part, which is kinda normal for kids that age I guess. Anyway, one of the consequences was that I managed to do but few runs (which was nevertheless quite satisfying; my spins were extremely consistent after the 9 year old told me to set higher

; I'm not joking).
Eventually it got dark and I was like: shit, I can't leave these kids like this. Neither can I just send them away on their bikes that don't even have lighting
So I said I would accompany them home, which turned out to be only a few streets away. I guess that was what they had been waiting for, because they immediately jumped on their bikes.
Their mum opened the door, and obviously she was relieved. It was 10.30pm by then and dark as hell. From what the kids told me I had already kinda derived that their parents were divorced. Yep, can you feel it coming?
After like five minutes of chit-chat, the youngest kid asked his forty-something mum: "Aren't you in love with Wim?"
Shiiiiit! Confrontation!
Nevertheless, this is one of the things I like about very young kids. They almost always speak their mind, no matter what (a trait mostly absent from adults). Likewise, kids always confirm or refute what you had been thinking (in this case: he confirmed what I had been thinking).

I've finished exams and I've done pretty well, so I think I'm only a few days away from graduation. Anyway, I leave for Berlin (holi-holi-day) with some friends later today, so this is a temporary bye-bye from the forum. But not from footbag! I'm taking my gear with me. You never know.
I haven't contacted any of the Berlin shred scene, as I stay in Berlin proper for only one day. All the other days, I'll lie at the lakeside and swim in the Koeriser See, a little south of Berlin. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh
Laterzzz!
