Today's results

Post by Jannex »

Worlds website has updated results available. In addition to those, Big 3 was won by Vasek Klouda. Felix Zenger was the second and Honza Weber the third, if I remember correctly.

Vasek and Honza also won the doubles freestyle, so Vasek is a quadruple champion this year.

Go to worlds website for the final results. We will make FULL (list of all the participants) results later on, but most of the top seats are already up. I'm still missing Womens/Mixed/Intermediate net results.

Worlds were AWESOME! Thank you for all of you that came. It was truly a pleasure to make things happen for you and for this great sport!

If I remember correctly, Jorden failed to hit a sick three combo in the finals. Throughout the week he hit all sorts of awesome stuff though.

Mikko 'Uniqueo' Lepisto
Karim 'Special K' Daouk
Juho 'Super' Marjo

Honorable mentions were Stefan Siegert and Tina Aeberli, and maybe someone else.

Ken turned down his 3rd consecutive BAP offer :P

For some quick opinions, i think Tina definitely should have won Womens Freestyle routines this year, she was so good
Im undecided about Open Freestyle routines...

Vasek hit a new world record in Semis Shred30 but you probably know that already... 271....

Quickies, maybe covered already.

Vasek barely won shred30. He beat Honza by a very very small margin. Lots of people spaunched in shred30 finals this year, vasek included. I hit him on the head and said: "Bad Vasek!" Jorden was 3rd in shred with a score over 210. 4th place was 195. But in the first 2 rounds of shred, the top 6 was over 200 points each time. So you can see right there that finals went worse than the first two rounds for lots of people.

I think the results for freestyle routines was accurate at least for the podium, and roughly accurate in general. Vasek won with a dropless, Honza second with a one drop, and Felix third with a one drop. Felix had over 300 adds in his routine.

Sick 3 was Vasek, Honza, Felix. Neither myself nor Jorden hit combos.

Single mens net was a letdown, since Johnny Leys had to scratch the finals due to injury. So Manu is champ again, with Johnny being second. Tina Lewis beat the Russian Julia in singles women. Doubles Manu Bouchard and JF LeMieux beat the germans, Patti and Flo. PT Lovern and John Leys took 3rd, beating Eric Wulff and Chris Sibert in the bronze match.

Womens freestyle events were dominated by carol, tina, and Hania. In routines it was Carol first, Tina second, and Hania third. In womens shred Tina killed everybody to get first, Carol got second, and Hania third.

Intermediates was won by Manu from Switzerland.

BAP, for those who still give a shit, was Karim Daouk, Juho Marjo, and Mikko Lepisto. I got my third consecutive invite, and this time my declination speech was particularly eloquent. I'll flesh all this out in my blog later, but here was the quick skinny.

This may have been the best worlds ive been at. Im thinking about that right now, but I think it very well may have been the best.

We miss you.

we should have a "who should make BAP" poll in a hoola-hoop forum. and whoever they think should be in, gets in!
