alright, lets try to solidify this idea. Nic, would be down for organizing and running it? any final thoughts on specific comp? (Big 1, Sick 3, Sick 10??) i definitely support the sick 10 idea, having already writting mine up and practiced it for like 3 hours today :D and i definitely think Nic running it would be beneficial to the general smoothness of the comp, due to his fairly extensive experience (ass-kiss...ass-kiss); however, im sure you are very busy, also factoring in the other comps and everything. opinions? haha, if this doesnt pan out, im gonna put 5 bails on the ten i have now and enter it for the open 15 :P

I am self a newbie and have ended like last and 3. last in the sick1..
And i think we should keep it as one division because..
Its fun seeing you in a video with people like Jorden, Honza and so on.. And most important of all i dont think many people would download the newbie vid because it would not be as fun to watch as a mix max of quality.
But we could try it out and see how it would work.
I am also trying to get a sick3 and 1 for next month comps.

I will host the following Novice competitions:

 Novice Sick 3
 Novice Sick 1

The competitoin entrys are due by 30th November! They will come out in a modified Novice Competitions video similar to the Open Sick1 and Sick3 vids and people will rank the entrys.

To submit an entry you can:
 Email it as an attachment to [email protected]
 or send me a PM with a link to where you have uploaded the video so I can download it.
 or hit me up on msn or AIM and I will get it off you over that (msn: [email protected] aim: NicBathgate)

If you enter and are clearly not a Novice, I will put your entry in the coressponding Open competitoin.

I think If you can hit 10 decent contacts then you should try entering sick15, it will be good for your game, however if there is enough intrest I will host Novice Sick10 aswell.

Get cracking! You have a month to hit something awesome ;)

Okay, so the format for these things is a separate video clip per event right? And no music or anything.

i.e. Just a small blurb about the rules and format of the video would be helpful for all that haven't done one before.

Sorry I should have stated:

Please include your Full name and city and country and also the move(s) you hit in your entry (eg. Alpine Nemesis>Spinning Ducking Clipper>Mobius) and name the file apropriately (not sick.avi!)

I will edit the videos and slowmo them, you do not need to edit them at all.

I will keep checking this thread for questions, so post them here or PM me.

Good luck with your entrys :)

What is the highest add count we can have in Sick 3 for it still to be novice?

3>3>3?

i doubt it will be about adds, unless you hit a 6 for the sick one. i guess we are leaving it up to nic's judgment for what shall be novice.

edit--i myself was planning on a 4>4>4 :P

Your next task: Go to the bathroom.
Wash your face.
Put your shoulders hunched upwards.
Look really, really slowly upwards towards the mirror like in the movies
And slap yourself in the face.
With your game face on.
And go shred with jim.
It'll work, trust me.

I'm going to PM Nic now, and bring his attention to the update of this thread. I'm also going to request that this thread be moved to the 'Online Competitions' Forum section. That is where it belongs. I'll request that he waits a few days so that people will get this update.

Dangit people! Any adds are acceptable. Whether its a 5 add or a 10 add trick. Just do your best! Sure, you can enter the sick 3 novice and still have a sick 1 in the open competition, so anything you do for your sick events are accepted no matter what. If you are wondering about an add limit so that you won't be put in the open competition just so you can win the novice one, then thats kinda shallow. Remember, adds don't always reflect difficulty so it wouldn't be good putting an add limit.

Thanks for your time :o

5 adds aren't novice.
