Had a fun day yesterday - played chess with Glenn at Franklin Square and then went to a bbq where I got fairly drunk. Also played soccer (Ps vs Vs

) which was fun. Did the best cross of my entire life (on to the head of Glenn who scored) and discovered my general foot co-ordination in soccer is a lot better than I thought and maybe all those people have a point

. Also played cricket later which was more fun. I played well and hit some girl in the shoulder while bowling and bowled her out next ball - pwned. Got to work drunk but had fun and nobody noticed.
Today I had a bit of a session - first in my new g-units! Despite not having played for a week and having brand new shoes, I really felt like I was finally playing with the same energy I had 2 months ago. It's sooooo good to be able to play footbag with energy. The g-units rock. I don't think I'll ever go back to lavers. Hit some cool stuff in them - which is especially cool for first session in brand new shoes.
The highlights were:
whirr>blurriest (flip whirr)
blurry whirl x 5 (a new personal record)
pdx whirl>flurry>legbeater>into a run
pdx blender bsos - I've done this before, but it felt soooo easy in the Gs
pdx torque>pdx torque - again I've hit this before but not as easy as it felt today.
Mainly I drilled stuff though and didn't go for many hard combos. To begin with most things felt different and it took some time to understand the changes but once I figured the shoes out they were awesome. I think the toe moves are a little harder but encouraging me to hit clipper moves is a good thing and it also just means I have to be a little more precise with my toes which also can't hurt. I'm sure as they break in they'll be even better!
