Player: Me

Playing at the ZHS is a lot better than in the cave so I took Bea's bike and went through the winterly Olympicpark. My legs felt really good and I got over 100 kicks with my very first kicking attempt :) I drilled some spins and ducks + I worked on my stamina:
Butterfly > Osis > Far Butterfly > Infinity > Osis > Far Butterfly 6x That are 36 contacts :D
75 alternating clipper --- new record ---

My next goal is to do 45 Infinities!!!!!

Footbag is fun. Next session approximetaly on firday.

Vienna will be sweet :D

Heut war echt ein bewegender tag, we had our first latin test today
and it went almost too well - i was finished the earliest, took my time,
corrected some bits, and walked out of the room with the prospect
of getting my first good mark this year - good fellings all the way :D !

But i needed to get rid of all that adrenalyn that i like to build up on
those days, and only long ours of sweaty foot bag can do that 4 me
at the moment.

Unfortunatly, there was no one to play with, and also no good spot to play
at, since Bea and Max were busy with other stuff .
Broke as i am i could affort going to Olympiabad to play there, and i nearly
lost all hope. But then i remebered how that one friend of mine came
by at work last week, to say hi and borrow some money to get her
nails done. It was important 4 her, so i lent her the money and
today shredding was very important 4 me, and she was totally up
to return the favour and gave me 4 euros for the entry :D :D :D

Yay !

butter>step legover>butter>p mirage>rpt>smear>butter>drop

terrage, datw, pixie same pick up and magellan, all in one hella
1sided run

ducking mir>butter>p mir>butter>p mir>plo>plo>smear

ducking clip>duck clip>butter>p mir>ducking mirage>smear> symp mir

ducking mir>butter>p mir x 3 8)

tap>dlo>butter>p mir>run
both sides

atomsmasher>dimwalk , first try, each side :P , dimwalk>p mir>dimwalk

(clip set) weaving mirage flipside

atomic muted ss clipper both sides

ducking clip>spinning p mirage> (10 contactrun)

plo>butter>pdx dlo

tap>symp mir>plo>run bs

Most of these combos i was able to hit many times .
I was also working on osis, quantum, spins/ducks,and swirls.

Today i couldnt stick to any system or plan that i've made up,
i just went for stuff - different drills, bursting into runs, working
on single moves, trying hard combos - a little bit of everything
and all mixed up chaotically . Good times and lots of sweat.

Yep, another one :)

2days sesh was a quick stop and shred at Beas' - we both didnt drill hard
or anything like that, the vibe was more relaxed and experimental.

Most of the combos, that i've been skooling, are there almost every time,
and there were some nice side effects from all the focusing on my weaker
components.

Smog is getting more solid, it was also a good day for ripwalks,
and i hit rip>p mir both sides midstring ( diff. runs though...).
And i stepped out of both dimwalks effortlessly -- on my flip, it was
the first one ever :D
Spinning is also on its way ( ingyro mirage first try, lol, yesterday
it took 2-3 tries and on monday it took 20...) and spinning clipper midrun,
and vor allem, spontaneously and completly naturally .

crispy grifter both sides and a few good combos,
than i had to go to work...i hope i can play longer on sunday :P

Bea was playing nicely, it seems to me that she won her stepping
set back for good, and also the "o"in bop is getting stronger and
stronger .
At the end of our get together she said the koolest footbag thing i've
heard in a long time :" ja, und wenn mein stepping sitzt, mach ich drifter,
und dann die double dexes, weil ich hab bock, mal nemesis zu machen ".

Hell yeah ! Monday was sweet, but kinda short since i had to go to work
after an hour, and i was really into it :D   .

I only hit one new combo - butter>ducking pdx mirage>plo bs -
but at the moment i'm not so keen on hitting new stuff all the time
anymore .

It became more and more important to me to be really comfortable
with the moves/combos that i can do already, and i could actually
feel that confidence solidifyind itself in almost every trick/run.
Things are getting easier, and if the dont or only do so at a very slow
pace ( whirls, swirls, osis) at least they make more sense and boy,
i really enjoy shredding and working on better form and consistency.

Hitting 8-13 guiltless isnt much of a problem anymore, its fun and
i mainly drill bops, stepping out of different shit ending in butterflies
and getting all kinds of toe combos to work, i want to pixie/atomic
and quantum out of every move ending in toe.

I can remember one run with 4 ducking tricks midstring - assasin,
ducking mirage, ducking symp mirage and ducking osis .

I've also hit some good combos, the 4 addmoves ending in butter
are getting tighter every session, even my meager range of fives
is morelikely to be availible...in short, there was nothing new technically,
but stuff feels soooo much easier, and thats what counts at the moment.
:D :D :D :D :D
I am not kool starting the last 3 sentences with the ugly word "i",
but all the excitement about the game is making happy and careless :D

Shred Harder .

Yesterday i was trying some swirls again during break at school -
dog, have i a shitty set or what !? but at least trying these in full
clothing taught me to keep the setting leg close 2 my support leg...
great insight, i know....

Later, at my moms i was working on butter>dlo and clipper set drifters ;
the progress was notable - i hit clip set drifter on my flip 4 the first time,
and butter>dlo was going good :D

I also hit ducking clipper>drifter, pixie clip>drifter and dimwalk>drifter
- yaaay ! and by hitting this stuff, i'm not reffering to only one or two occasions ...

My problem with drifters, no matter what set or side, is playing out of them
, but i shall work on that today.

Its kind funny that my clipper game improves nicely, since i'm using one of
Jochens bag ( simmilar feel to a broken in Charles bag ), who told me
that my clipper game was not that good in dortmund

Who wanna shred today ?

Call me :D

you Beast!

shit you are so exploding daryl, you make the fastest progress of us all!
this is so inspiring, I wanna shred now, but.

Yesterday my physio-therapist told me that I most definately suffer from
a patellar tendon inflammation, right at the tip where the kneecap ends.
So it seems the cartilage in my knee seems to be ok.

But - it means I may have to rest for 3-4 months before it is healed completely.

So, definately no footbag before spring 2006 for me.

Daryl, I challenge you to hit reverse swirling pickup!

3. Dezember
Beatrice and I just had an short but very cool shred session! We started with BOP runs and drilles some stepping and pixie. We only played for 45 minutes but that was just the right lenght for me, since I was ill all week. I had a cold combined with some virus :( my stomach really hurt. But now I'm feeling almost 100% fit again :) It was the 2. time for me this year being ill, that sucks!!! I'm not the person who gets ill! :D

Monday is going to be hardcore!!!!!!!!

Today didnt make much sense to me, footbag wise and in general .
I felt beaten and weary, not sure why really, and i could go on for
a while, bitching on how disorganized and fuzzy
i felt the whole time , but lets not  !

It was cool, that apart from Max and me, both Bea and Nora
showed up ;
Nora was in great form today, all her moves looked confident and
well executed ( butters, whirls ) and some strings were pretty long too.
Bea was also on today, and all jealousy aside, i gotta say man,
them osii are looking great !
Max was trying some tough links, and he also seemed to struggle a bit
today...but he bsosed a new 4-4-4 towards the end nontheless -
powerful and with great style !

I started with kicks, straight after the first decent try, i joined the circle,
doing ok tiltless runs. Somehow i was too fuzzy for real ( useful+boring)
drills, and too weak and unprepared for fat strings ; apart from maby
two good ones, my runs were sad or nonexistant.
I 'm still not sure which, and now, in retrospect, its hard to recall,
what i was exactly doing the whole time :? ..

The only thing i was halfway drilling today were atomic related shuffle
combos and anything i could think of related to my archenemy:MR OSIS !

Highlights :

atom>legbeater, and tap>atom bs again

flip legebater>pdx mirage>run

clip>ss clip>osis>stepping legover both sides

osis>ripwalk 8)

dimwalk>stepping osis :D

flailling ss clipper

atomic rake

diving osis
both sides

In all, the session wasnt too bad. I progressed on a lot of useful
4 like atomic osis or both legbeaters, also my dexless was nice
to me today- osis>spiining osis>me, too surprized for a handcatch !
Plus all these annoying combos, that almost got the best of me today,
like dimwalk>blur rpt, tap>atomsmasher rpt and blur>atom bsos
were already on>off my foot a couple of times, and with some work
and better focus, that last damned stall shouldnt be a problem.

I just have to make sure that i warm up properly the next time and to
keep using my last training schedule .

Yeah, that and what Ners said : "breathing is not a bad thing , Mr Canady"
.
