It was a great day though! Kyle and I made it to the footbag area by 1:00 pm (we missed the 10:25 train; what is it with us missing all these trains?! Jeez!), and we realized that Rippin' Run had already almost ended! We made it in time to see the final between Johnny Suderman and Jeremy Mirken! Unfortunately, Jeremy dropped after only a few moves and Johnny ended up winning.
After that, there was a four-square competition, which I didn't pay much attention to (because I was shredding) but I know that Zeke won that competition. I shredded with some new people today, with John Mahood being the most notable! I love John's style and tricks; all his moves flow together really well! I also shredded with Amelia some more. She had been trying to hit drifters since yesterday and she got really, really close so many times that it was frustrating. I know that she will be able to hit them easily soon though!
Towards the end of the day, I was debating with myself on whether or not I should buy another footbag shirt just so that everybody can sign it. In the end, I decided on having everybody sign my Lavers because I need to get some new shoes anyway. Although some people had already left, I got many people signatures! I'll post some pictures of them after I get them onto the computer. Finally, the results from the previous days' events were announced before we had to close down. Johnny won Sick 1 (apart from Rippin' Run). In Shred 30, Scott Davidson took third place with a 155 point something, Johnny took second with a 191 point something, and Jorden took first with a 228 point something!! Jorden also won Sick 3!
Also, at the end, there was a raffle and the winner recieved a Mirken bag! Guess who the winner was?! It was Kyle!! I remember talking to him because he was thinking of buying a footbag today, and just a minute later his name was announced. Actually, the little paper slip said "Guy from Palatine" because Jeremy and Tim Werner did not know his name, but Jeremy knew whom it meant! So, it was a pretty happy ending!
Saying goodbye to everyone at the end of the day was the hardest part! I can't believe how depressed I felt while saying goodbye to everyone and leaving the footbag area!
Anyway, after leaving the footbag area, Kyle and I played ping pong for a little bit and then left for our 6:30 train. Once again, we nearly missed our train. We made it with a few minutes left before the train left the station.
I still can't believe that the event is over already! All good things must come to an end, I guess!
