Today was, sadly, the last day of NYJ!

It was a great day though! Kyle and I made it to the footbag area by 1:00 pm (we missed the 10:25 train; what is it with us missing all these trains?! Jeez!), and we realized that Rippin' Run had already almost ended! We made it in time to see the final between Johnny Suderman and Jeremy Mirken! Unfortunately, Jeremy dropped after only a few moves and Johnny ended up winning.

After that, there was a four-square competition, which I didn't pay much attention to (because I was shredding) but I know that Zeke won that competition. I shredded with some new people today, with John Mahood being the most notable! I love John's style and tricks; all his moves flow together really well! I also shredded with Amelia some more. She had been trying to hit drifters since yesterday and she got really, really close so many times that it was frustrating. I know that she will be able to hit them easily soon though! :)

Towards the end of the day, I was debating with myself on whether or not I should buy another footbag shirt just so that everybody can sign it. In the end, I decided on having everybody sign my Lavers because I need to get some new shoes anyway. Although some people had already left, I got many people signatures! I'll post some pictures of them after I get them onto the computer. Finally, the results from the previous days' events were announced before we had to close down. Johnny won Sick 1 (apart from Rippin' Run). In Shred 30, Scott Davidson took third place with a 155 point something, Johnny took second with a 191 point something, and Jorden took first with a 228 point something!! Jorden also won Sick 3!

Also, at the end, there was a raffle and the winner recieved a Mirken bag! Guess who the winner was?! It was Kyle!! I remember talking to him because he was thinking of buying a footbag today, and just a minute later his name was announced. Actually, the little paper slip said "Guy from Palatine" because Jeremy and Tim Werner did not know his name, but Jeremy knew whom it meant! So, it was a pretty happy ending!

Saying goodbye to everyone at the end of the day was the hardest part! I can't believe how depressed I felt while saying goodbye to everyone and leaving the footbag area! I truly hope that I will be able to see everyone really soon! I had so much fun at this event, I wish it was like this everyday!

Anyway, after leaving the footbag area, Kyle and I played ping pong for a little bit and then left for our 6:30 train. Once again, we nearly missed our train. We made it with a few minutes left before the train left the station.

I still can't believe that the event is over already! All good things must come to an end, I guess!

I was the one that did stepping ss whirl. :D

It was awesome to meet you, though we really didn't get a chance to kick with each other. Perhaps that'll change next year *bwahahaha*. Make sure to keep me filled in with your college plans.

My parents told me about that! I wasn't home at that time though! I might kick a little bit later on today (around 6:00 or 7:00). I'll give you a call if I do!

I had a short session earlier tonight. I didn't hit anything new, just worked on my flipside clippers and infinities in general. My strings are getting longer though, which I'm really happy about! :)

Anyway, here are the pictures of my Lavers signed by some of the people that were at NYJ. The pics are kinda big, but I'm leaving them that way so that people can see the signatures.

I didn't get the signatures of all the people that attended because some of them had already left (this was on the last day of NYJ). Hope ya like them! :P

Hey man, sorry I didn't get to shred with you. Hopefully we can hook up when it gets warmer, you're probably the busiest guy I know, lol. It was still nice to see you again and I'm glad you and your friend made it all the way out to the event.

Today, I had one of my most intense sessions! I kicked with Kyle and Dane at my clubhouse's raquetball court. We shredded for approximately 2 hrs and it was soo much fun! We were all hitting some really good stuff! I'm especially happy because I got both Kyle and Dane to become as obsessed with footbag as I am! 8)

Some highlights--

Kyle
smear bs
pixie illusion
parkwalk
pixie pinch
tiltless runs

Dane
long tiltless runs
smear
parkwalk
toe whirl
almost crispy torque

Me
atomic legover
atomic osis
beta smear (almost bs)
stepping far legover > legbeater > osis > ducking clipper > run
smear > butterfly > sidewalk > infinity > pdx mirage > ss clipper > ducking clipper > diving clipper > drop

Near the end of the session, we were messing around, trying really hard tricks but I footyed pixie tap about 6 times! I was soo close to hitting it and sealing it; if I had done so, it would have been my first triple dex! I think that would be a great first triple dex (rather than something like fog, smog, blurriest, etc that many people hit as their first triple)! Anyway, I'm gonna keep trying until I hit that move!

Oh, I almost forgot!! I had Jeff bid on a pair of Reebok G-Unit G6s for me on eBay, and I won!! I got them for a mere $36 (but with shipping and handling, the total cost comes up to $46). They ended up being cheaper than my Lavers! Also, I found out yesterday that Kyle ordered a pair of G6s off of eBay too! So, Kyle, Jeff, and I all are gonna get our G6s by the end of this week (hopefully) or the beginning of next week! :) Now, Dane's thinking about getting a pair too! I'm soo excited to try them out!

Josh, school already started for me on Tuesday! :( I can shred over the weekend though! I didn't get a chance to shred today (Kyle, Dane, and I just messed around during band).

I just got a PM from Jeff though. He bidded on the G6s that I wanted and he said my G6s are here!! 8O :D Whooooo! I'm gonna go drop by his house later tonight and pick them up! Anyway, I gotta go study for some tests now!

I picked up my G6s from Jeff's house Thursday night, but I had a couple of tests on Friday, so I didn't modify them that night. I wore them to school yesterday and I think I broke them in pretty nicely by just walking in them the whole day. Well, after school, I had gymnastics practice, but after that, I went over to Kyle's house (Dane was already there) and Kyle and I proceeded to modify our shoes.

I don't know if it was because it was our first time modifying G6s (or that we didn't want to accidentally cut anything we were not supposed to) but it took us almost an hour to finish modifying them. Well, we also had to share a pair of scissors between us, so that probably contributed to the slowness too! Anyway, after modifying my G6s, I shredded for a little bit with Kyle and Dane in the basement and I have to say that I love these shoes!! In my opinion, they are waaaaaay better than Lavers. They feel so much more comfortable and they improved my game too (which was a pleasant surprise).

When I shredded with them on, I hit ss clipper > far legover x 10 (total 20 contacts) on my second try! I hit about 9 infinities on my first try and my flipside clippers have improved so much more. I went bowling afterwards, but I shredded there too (because we had to wait for a lane to open up). Everyone was like "Woah!" Everyone was just watching me shred! Unfortunately, I accidentally kicked my bag into a garbage can and spent an embarrassing couple of minutes fishing it out! Anyway, I'll post some pictures soon!

Aaagghhh...I'm trying to upload the pictures but my computer is being stupid!

Anyway, I had a session yesterday and today and they went great! Yesterday, I kicked with Jon and Kyle and Kyle has improved a lot! He can do tiltless combos almost everytime now and his pixie sets and clippers are becoming better day by day. Today, I kicked with Jon, Josh, and Jake! Jake was busting out some cool combos (double switchover > double switchover > atomsmasher etc.).

Also, I hit my first 5 in the middle of a combo...dimwalk > sidewalk > ps whirl > handcatch!! Jake told me that it was clean too, so I'm really happy about that today! I wasn't expecting to nail the ps whirl, so I wasn't ready to hit anything out of it. Next time, I'll make sure that I hit something out of it!

I think I'm getting shin splints lately. My shins start hurting a lot halfway through all my sessions. I can barely shred for more than an hour without my shins acting up! Hopefully, a few days off of footbagging will help me out!

Hopefully, I can get my G6 pictures updated soon!
