Actually, that wouldn't be feasible for Americans because we have restrictions on sugar imports that raises the price of our sugar significantly. That's why we have corn syrup in our soda. Mexican soda sells way better in the US because it contains real sugar and is sweeter.
There was shipment of real sugar soda kosher for Passover [the majority believe corn syrup should not be consumed during Passover] which was consumed mostly by the gentile population because of its superior taste [I didn't get any
]
Anyways, it would be cool though

Interesting article, but I have comments of course.

(.....)
Along with NEW OFFSHORE OIL DISCOVERIES, that's a big reason Brazil expects to become energy independent this year.

-------------------------
There is something for the U.S. to emulate.
---------------------------------
The most recent U.S. energy bill, signed into law in August, calls for more than doubling ethanol use by 2012.
----------------------------------
Is this a good thing? If it is , who gets credit?
----------------------(...)
Three members of the Senate Energy Committee recently visited, and Sen. Hillary Clinton has cited Brazil as a role model in cutting dependence on imported oil. (....)

It may take the U.S. a few more decades to bring the cost of ethanol down to 80 cents a gallon
-----------------------------------------
80 cents, if it gets that low, would be the pre-TAX price, our morbidly obese (on tax dollars) congressmen will no doubt slap a 50 cent or 1 dollar (or more) tax on each gallon. Who cares how efficient manufacturers make it, the politicians will make sure we take in the ass at the pump anyway.
