Yee, I've played hacky sack every day this (long) weekend. Over an hour on Friday, Saturday and yesterday and today over 30 minutes.

Saldo would be Drifter bsos, improvent on Torques, lots of good mood and today 16 contacts BOP, many times. And yeah, Pdx DLO both sides! :D Got them both with second tries ever I guess. Moukan tuuria. :P
Id est today I only trained guiltless string length. My Oses have shown remarkable improvement - before I didn't dare to hit them very much mid-string because I usually dropped them too.

I may have a rest tomorrow, or do some other excercises.
Need skooling/practising:
- torques
- double down -dexing
- guiltless string length
- ducks & dives
- spinning! (...and gyro too)
- oh and whirl too; I've done them totally downtime so far
--> whirls have taken sooo much blood, sweat and tears... (minus the blood and tears)

EDIT:
The double down -dexing is clean when it happens kind of under / in front of you or what? And it's 'rev. whirly' if the dexing happens "outside the shoulders"?

Jos viimisessä kierrossa kantapää nousee korkealle polven tasolle niin kierto on Reverse Whirlmäinen. Eli siis jos kierto on Reverse Whirl, niin se on sitä. (...) Kaukana kehosta tehty kierto toki pakkaa menemään Rev Whirliksi, kun kerta täytyy tehdä niin iso kierto.

Skooled spinning and ducks and dives. Although I should have, I didn't skool double-downing that much.
I sprained my ankle a bit, luckily only a bit, on Thursday when we had the last match in the floorball tournament of our school. (We won the whole shit, didn't lose a single match.) Id est my left ankle was a bit stiffy at start but got better as I just kept on playing. :)
Also practised peaktime Whirls and Torques. If I'll have a session tomorrow and it'll be like today's sesh was, I think I can FINALLY seal that Torque. :P

I also hit Atom Smasher first time in my life, but not both sides.

For the past week I've been skooling, skooling and skooling TORQUE.
The last two sessions have almost completely been Torque-sessions. Now I've got the set & miraging part okay, but the Osis STILL SUCKS!
I can hit the bag with the foot like 9/10 tries but yeah, Osis STILL SUCKS!
I've sealed it with a hand catch manymany times but my best trick seal has been a toe kick. :x
No matter how low my overall shred level will sink I will own that trick both sides before my soul can have a rest.
Fortunately I have a feeling I'll be able to seal it soon.

So far it has taken uncountable litres of sweat and a few drops of blood as I was chafed a bit on Thursday*. Time will tell if I need tears too...

*covered the "wound" with a kids' Peppi-plaster.

----

Okay it hasn't been all torqueing this week. I've hit Atom Smasher both sides now and today I hit my second 5add, Ducking PS Mirage. Only the other side though.

Uhm...did you post this in the right footblog?
If you really meant to post it here:
I can't answer to you for Lauri Airinen but do you mean the shoes he's wearing in the New Year's Jam Jyväskylä video? Those were blue Lavers with the mesh ripped off and the canvas being colored(?) blue.
I haven't got Climas.

Now that I'm posting here... I had a session yesterday, this time some shred and not just skooling tricks.
I'm trying to combine BOP with set-guiltless, yesteday I got with the best tries around 15 contacts. At least half of the tricks were unique. Now my goals are to add more Whirls, Drifters, Ducking/Spinning Clippers +other stuff to the strings too.
Today (if I'll shred) I'll skool double-downing.

Hahahaha, sorry. You had the same name, both played footbag, both lived in Finland, and were both pretty young, so I figured you were the same person. :P

My bad, but thanks for answering my question!

To be honest you weren't the first one. :)

Yeah I knew this because he bought Climas after the Jam.

Winter holidays start now, yeah!
I'm going to Lapland with my family for the first time in my life. Although I'm not sure how the shred conditons are there, I'll take Lavers with me.
Anssi is pushing me to hit Motion, I think I'll work on that if I'll have the chance.

Schedule from now on:
- go to shower
- watch the ice-hockey game (Finland-Russia)
- watch the Battlestar Galactica
- go to sleep after midnight
- wake up at 4.30AM :|
- have a loooooooong drive to Levi, Kittilä, Lapland, Finland

Bye bye. :)

Paluu Sylimaasta

Huh. I think it's too boring to write (and in your case; to read) everything that I did in Lapland, so I'll just tell the most 'juicy' part.

-3/1/2006-
I had the most expensive shred session ever, 12€ per hour.
It seemed that there was only one sport hall there and the shifts had to be booked in advance (well, "only one" may not be right words because there are probably only a few hundred inhabitants in the area of Levi that live there for the whole year).
First I thought it was a rip-off price - actually I still think that way - but then decided to go because that was basically the only thing I spent money for during the whole trip. Yeah, pappa betalar.
The session was probably one of the best solo sessions in my life. In the same hall there were four badminton courts, all of them were booked and I had one of them. The floor was nicely grippy and I had some spectators (the badminton players).
I didn't hit many new tricks or runs but didn't drop as often as usually. And I hit left side Blender for the first time; it was that good that I could've hit something out of it if I had tried, but I was too stoked to do that. I didn't want to try it many times again, because I was afraid that I couldn't hit it again and would just get frustrated with it.
So I decided not to spoil my good mood and promised myself to concentrate on that ASAP when I'd be at home again.

Yup, the shred was nice, I sneaked ("sniikeri") in a bit in advance so the price was actually more like 12€/1½ h, not just one hour.
After the session I called my dad if anyone would pick me up from the hall to the cottage but he said that I'd have to walk. 3-4 km in the dark wouldn't have been that bad if I hadn't got the stomach ache. I've got a lactose (=milk sugar) intolerance, i.e. if I drink regular milk or products consisting it my stomach starts to hurt because air plus other gases stay there and don't "go forward". It's nothing serious but the stomach ache isn't nice and it takes a while to wait for the gases to "get out of the body".
This means that the walk wasn't that nice after all. The best part was that when I finally made it to the cottage my family was going to leave to the village for dinner - basically I could have just waited by the hall in some toilet or something. Anyways, the stomach ache stopped and I could go to eat some pizza with my family.
Don't we all love happy endings, do we?

Shred tonight I guess.

DOD bsos for the first time. (No, I hadn't hit that before!)
Some attempts on Barfly, I noticed how it helps if you start dexing quickly. It's still really hard to say if I'm close to hit or not, so far everytime I've thought I've been close to hitting something I've had to wait months until I've then finally hit it. :?
Played around with ripwalk>crispy DLO>dimwalk combo/drill, as a start for runs.
I still haven't hit Torque. Maybe I'm trying to "force" it to be hit? I guess I've just got to try it in a more relaxed way...
And I've started to practise swirls! I've got the dexing motion done somehow but I'm sure it's 'the'. Usually when I'm trying to hit the swirl with a "rolling" set the bag doesn't go straight up. Still I've managed to catch the bag. I should probably film it and watch it to see what I need to improve... :)

So far my guiltless has been mostly just BOP and 2-dex tricks that have a set there but now I'm getting some more components and variety there too, which makes me happy. I can hit ducking clipper pretty easily to the runs (geez how good shredder that makes me! :P ) and whirl quite often too. Drifters and DODs and maybe spins may follow soon...

I don't know. Anyways I'll probably have a session today.
Cheers,

Can't remember if I had a session on Wednesday or not, but had one today at school.
One girl told me I looked like a Swedish (!) dancer.
I would take that over being her - what I've heard she's a pain in the ass -person and not even that good-looking.
I win 6-0. :P

Geez, this morning when I woke up I thought it was summer already. :)
My room is on the eastern side of the house so I always get a lot of daylight there especially in the morning.
The bad thing was that I woke up at 7 AM because of that, felt really tired but couldn't sleep anymore.
Anyways, I got really pumped up because it was so warm and light.
The second bad thing was that there was still a lot of snow in the ground and actually it wasn't that warm either, -5°C outside. Man I'm looking forward to the first day out, I can feel the spring in the air. :)
It'd be really cool if someone organized a footbag jam soon. I could even do it myself but I don't live that close to the Tampere center that I could give an "easy accommodation" during the jam. And one-day jams aren't that nice, huh? :?

Yesterday I was filming my brother's and one his friends' snowboarding - they're progressing damn fast. 2-3 weeks ago my brother couldn't actually even stand on a snowboard, yesterday he learned to do a 180° spin. I can remember when I was practising that a couple of years ago and it felt damn hard.
I had a little socks-on session in the evening, hit 'real' eggbeater for the first time. (Yes, I had thought that eggbeater was atomic legover, not illusioning legover...:x)

Very likely. (I'd say "yes" but then again; so far everytime when I've made promises there has been problems / other complicated stuff that have almost prevented everything. Like last summer I was supposed to compete at the Worlds but I couldn't.)
I hear the EsPosse is going, have you guys already planned your trip?

Fine, I guess. :) Could be much better though.
What I'd like to happen right now would be a good shred session with lots of people. After the snow melts I'll probably start shredding more at school and see if I can get some people interested and start shredding too.
I need jams! :D

Yay, pdx whirl bs again after a long time! :)
And hit a challenge too, smudge > smear > ss mirage > rpt.

Although we just got a cold spell here and the spring isn't coming as fast as I thought I think my spirits are so high that I'll hit some more stuff in the near future. :)
