Spiders
Spiders
I'm curious to know the strategies people use to deal with spiders.
Personally, I don't like them, but hate killing them even more.

I take two piece of tissue paper, bunch them up and crush the spider(s) between them as fast as I can. Then I throw the bunched up spider away as fast as possible. I hate spiders.

I remember seeing this a while back in Hood's blog:

I used to kill just about about any bug in my line of vision. I have since seen the error of my ways. Now I let 'Greg Nelson' do it.

If I don't see them at first they'll freak me out. But if I know the're there, then I'll let them chill. If a friend has one as a pet, then I'll pick it up and let it crawl over my hands, same with ladybugs. Normally I would kill them!!

Or when there is a White-Tip in your school trousers and you put them on with it inside...
If you are allergic to their venom, it dissolves your flesh

With spiders not of enormous size or not on me, I let them be or relocate them. If one's on me, I freak a little and flick it off...might kill it, might leave it be depending on my mood or whatever. If one's huge, I kill it eventually.
Sometimes I play with them...haha. I played with one on the side of a pool one day by dropping water beside it, and it got up on it's back legs and stuck it's front legs up in the air like it was gonna punch me or something. I was cute/ funny in a weird way...

That's highly unusual given the fact that brown recluse bites are rare. They do not often bite, unless bothered in some way, thus the name 'recluse'. Also, reported bites have occured mainly in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and California. You may have been bitten by a southern house spider, which looks a lot like the brown recluse and is indiginous to your area.brinard wrote:ive been bit about 5 times by brown recluses, and i dont care either way what happens to them.

i know for sure 3 times it was brown recluse. went to doctor. two other times, i just had the hole from the bite.it could have been that house spider tho....
i got bitten twice at wrestling practice, in the mats is where the spiders were... its wet with sweat... and in an old old oold elementary school gym..... like built in 1975 ish.
and the others were in my trailer, like in the bathtub or corner of my bedroom, under my bed... something like that.
