I try to drink a lot of water always. I went through a period earlier this year where I drank loads, I just carried a water bottle around and drank out of it all the time. Peed a lot. Probably cleansed me out a bit. I should do that again, I've gotten out of the habit.

90 day fasts? I thought the human body couldn't sustain without food for more than a month, whereas without water is around a week.
Today I tried preparing for my fast for Sunday to Tuesday. I didn't eat the whole morning, and only drank a Superfood health drink (it was similar to Naked Juices' Green Machine) around 11 in the afternoon. Then it was just a footlong Subway full of veggies with turkey and cheese that I ate in moderation late in the afternoon, and a small bowl of rice with vegetarian sides for dinner. I think by Saturday if I keep this routine but with smaller meals and a health drink, along with water, I can start my fast.
Anyways, though, thanks for the advice David. I'm going to tough it out and do this solo, and will try my best.

Answering my own post:Bander87 wrote:Will 1 day of fasting have any significant effects?
Fasting technically commences within the first twelve to twenty-four hours of the fast. A fast does not chemically begin until the carbohydrate stores in the body begin to be used as an energy source. The fast will continue as long as fat and carbohydrate stores are used for energy, as opposed to protein stores. Once protein stores begin to be depleted for energy (resulting in loss of muscle mass) a person is technically starving.

My day one is over. I've got two days to go. It should go pretty easily since I'm doing a water & juice fast.

Who the fuck can hold their breath for three minutes? I'm an average person and I definitely can't.
I just tried and got to 51 seconds.

yeah its for the average person. But after a couple of minutes you would go uncontious and then start breathing regularly again unless you were underwater or somethin like that. Of course there are people who train for these types of things and go way longer but for the average person this is about normal.
