That really sucks about Pendulum, id be dirty as about that. Slam is definitely an awesome track, i also like Tarantula. And of course Fasten Your seatbelts!
Its a bitch tho, Dylan just put out a video using the two tracks that im using for my Euros video (slam and tarantula) so im not happy at all

I fell asleep at the beginning of the second half of Aus v Jap and missed all the action. I was so tired after the long weekend :D

Sick goonits :D
These days I don't want to hit the hardest move ever hit in footbag, I would rather be able to hit good 30+ genuine and interesting runs all the time. I want to be consistant rather than hitting high add moves.
me too! except I have a lot still to learn, of course ;)

Well some stuff has been going on in my life. I finally got the results back from an eye study my brother and I were involved with in 2002 - which meant we got a free eye test and also got to find out if we are identical twins or not (and of course we are, which is no surprise to anybody).

Also my Mum is in town and has brought down the family computer for me, which is good although it's a bit slow it is still ok. I watched lots of old footage of me playing footbag and have to say that my legs are like way bigger than they used to be - which is good :).

Played chess with my brother yesterday. Beat him 2-0. Both games were close though. In the first game he had me under heaps of pressure but I had a check mate planned and carried it out without him noticing it - which was lucky because having made the crucial move before the mate I realised that his responce should be a 2 move check mate that I couldn't avoid. Lucky. In the second game he again had me under heaps of pressure but having learnt from the last game, when he was a move away from mating I checked him with my queen and knight until I could get him into a corner and mate him :). After the second game he threw a tantrum and knocked the board over, which was a embarressing since we were in a cafe and he almost lost a piece.

Been playing lots of footbag too. Have started doing a new drill - stepping whirl>ripwalk repeat - which isn't that hard for me but is good and stepping whirl is a fun move.

Soccer is good. I already have a big party planned for the final. Go Australia :)

Yep the world cup is fucking unreal. Doesn't seem to be as many upsets so far. Which team do you dislike the most. I would have to say Germany, followed closely by italy.

keep up all the good work bro.

I like Germany this cup - they are much more interesting. Hmm, I can't say I dislike any teams at the moment. I hate the US and their religion on principle of course but that's about it.

That's a joke of course - for anybody who doesn't realise. David Clavens once said that every post of mine on this forum is either bagging his country or his religion so I try to keep up with that expectation.

Had an ok kick today although didn't hit anything that amazing. There was a big crowd standing around in our usual kicking spot because of an ice sculpture which was boring and not very good. I hit some nice long guiltless runs though - despite being super unfit at the moment. I'm going to start skipping I think, or something to get my fitness up. Oh I hit one really nice tripless run which went something like spinning butter>ps whirl>pdx drifter>pdx dlo>smog>double over down>pdx whirl>pdx drifter>ripwalk>torque>pdx blender. Well it's ok anyway - I was playing in board shorts so it was hard to do stepping sets so the ripwalk is more genuine then usual :P. I'm obviously capable of better but for the relaxed nature of the circle and my out of condition form I thought it was pretty good.

Well it's been a while. Haven't been playing any footbag lately but have got my new g-units which are l33t. I have half modded one and just done the toe box on the other. They are mesh which is nice because I prefer mesh to cutting out the outsides of shoes. They're still a bit stiff but getting better. The half modded shoe is more comfortable than the non modded shoe.

Last night I went to a cocktail night at the museum which was not that great although the exhibit that was the reason for the night was very interesting - it's a collection of Australia artifacts including Ned Kelly's helmet and Don Bradman's bat which he used to score 344 with. The highlight for me is a diary from a soldier from ww2 who was in a japanese pow camp. He only had a very small amount of paper to write with so the writing is *tiny* like there is no way I could write twice as big as this. It gave a really good perspective on things. The cocktails were shit and I had 2 and a sip of one and gave up. I haven't drunk alcohol for weeks. It was a good chance to do some networking though - especially with a guy who may help in getting a better venue for Aus champs which would be good.

I haven't really been doing much else of excitement. Today I was going to do a bunch of IFPA stuff but am unable to - which is frustrating because I set aside some time today and it would have been important. Anyway.

My parents are down for the weekend which is good. It's the birthday of a famous childrens book illustrator who is a good friend of my step dad so they're down for that. Well I guess I'm off to have a kick bag session although it looks like it's going to rain and I haven't been able to sleep much lately. Damn the world cup fucking up my sleeping patterns although if we beat Italy and then the winner of I presum switzerland vs ukraine then it will be worth it. I sort of feel like I want the world cup to be over now so I can get my sleeping patterns in order. Anyway.

Just kicked for a very short time with Jorden.

Highlight:

Two cute girls come up and watch and then one of them says: "Hey can you do your mom". Me: "yeah sure" - hits it. - me "is that what you meant?" - the girl "yeah" and then they leave.

Also I bought a skipping rope.

lol - yes I've been able to that for years and can hit it mid fearless sometimes these days.

That wasn't a highlight because of the move - it would have been just as much of a highlight if she had have asked me to hit pixie legover - it was a highlight because a random girl who I had no idea who she was came up to me while I was playing and asked me to hit a particular footbag move. I guess that happens to Janis all the time but the only times it has happened to me before the move has been some stupid circle kicking move ("Can you do that thing where it's on your foot and then you flick it up behind you and it comes around?)

Had a little session today with Glenn and Nick at the PCYC. Had finished modding my new units last night so spent the session just getting a feel for them and working them in I guess. No highlights.

I played soccer on Sunday! It was indoor and lots of fun although nobody on our team had played before (or even knew the rules) although I did play outdoor soccer when I was 10 or 11 and another guy on our team had played outdoor soccer before too :). We lost 5 nil but I thought that was pretty good for our first game - especially considering the fitness of everybody else on our team. Although I want to be fitter I still was easily the fittest person on the court. I have ok skills too I guess although certainly they could get a lot better and I doubt that will happen.

Apart from that I got in trouble at work the other day for net sending a message to every computer saying "all your base are belong to us" - apparntly that's a security risk or something. Anyway it was hard not to be amused when I was chastised about it. Anyway I have learnt my lesson.

My brother came around today and put the big brother video of the turkey slap on my computer - just what I've always wanted  . Actually I haven't watched it yet but I find the whole thing pretty hilarious. Can't say I'm a fan of big brother or ever watched a whole episode but it's good to see that at least in Australia people can talk about sexual assualt without the threat of censorship.

Oh yeah today I finally got paid for a footbag demo I did on the 1st of April!! Huzzah. I had actually given up on it but then I bumped into the person who was meant to be paying me and she organised it all for me :). huzzah I can eat this week 8O

Apart from that I've been spending my spare time working on some various IFPA stuff. Soon I will get internet access at home which will make things a lot easier but it feels good to be spending my small amount of spare time on doing something useful for the sport of footbag instead of wasting it on criticising people for giving up their time to try and do postive things for the sport or writing about myself.

Well I have little to report :P. I went to a party the other night and somebody there had a black Jesus figurine. It was like the best thing ever. It was wind up and would "glide" across the table. Also the back of the package said "Comes with wheels because he's wheely good". :D

Also I played soccer yesterday with a really bad hangover and we lost we 9-2 but we were a player short and they were way better than us so we did ok I think. I am getting better I think.

Been playing a little. I finally feel like I've figured out blenders - like obviously I have been able to hit blender moves for years but I'm starting to understand what I should be doing to hit the move and what I do wrong when I drop it. I don't know if I can explain it very well but mentally blender moves have become considerably easier anyway. Also my swirls are getting really good - although I still have big focus problems with the set. Still I have had some really good looks at ripstein.

We had an IFPA board phone meeting today and I couldn't tell the difference between anybodies voice apart from their gender. Silly accents ;). Also I had been up all night watching the world cup but I didn't say anything too silly :P.

Anyway there's a black-tie party at the Puck Building tonight for a new brand of computerized professional rowing machine so I'd better head.
