I don't like saying it, but I think someone said they scored me 117 - I'll take a look at it later since I have the footage...an ugly waste of tape

Nothing really, I walked and talked for a good while- hugged and said goodbye / wish me luck to get home. I wasn't looking for action, I was just being nice and wanted to walk her home...but I didn't know it was gonna take the rest of the night to get back.

Nice event recap yo. I had no idea so much crazy stuff happened to you over the weekend! I guess I shouldn't have doubted it though.

Game felt a bit better yesterday. Played on my friend Simon's deck with Brad and Bob. New goal is to hit - Blurry whirl & Blurriest bsos. Something neat I hit first try was pixie ducking butter > pdx torque > rev up, worked out just like I thought it would, oh so sweet. Also hit pdx drifter > ripwalk > rpt, I'd like to work that until doing it once would be easy and I could keep going if I so pleased. I footed a ton of superfly variants, but didn't hit any of them, I think that move is on the verge of mine. Flip Ps Whirl is feeling better even though I didn't hit it, I'm also on the verge of taking that. I feel that the strength is there now, I just have to dial the movement and simplify it.

On the not footbag news, I finally washed my car after a year of dirtiness, I even took the time to wax the damned thing. Guess what happens 1 day later, my car won't start so now I can't even drive it. I had someone look at it and when I tried to start it, the engine puffed and it smoked a bit. I'm thinking it is electrical matters, but who knows. I will have it towed tomorrow and worked on. I'm poor and I'm guessing whatever is wrong will be somewhat expensive because that's just how things go, fark. On the plus side, I got a fortune cookie that said "You will have a romantic evening" Or something of that nature, the downside is, it lied.

Well, it didn't say you'd have a romantic evening soon, it just said you'd have one... someday. Who knows, maybe you've already had it. Then that fortune cookie just wasn't useful at all, huh?

Played with Brad on the 4th, I guess that's how we celebrated our independance. Other than that we came back and watched semi finals World Cup (Germany vs France). After that we rented out 2 movies, well, I had no decision in the renting cause they just randomly came back with 2. I really wanted to watch both Ocean's 11 & 12 back to back, but oh well. We watched Green Street Hooligans, which was about...soccer hooligans and the firms that created street hostility, great movie. And The Hills Have Eyes, some gory horror flick that didn't really appeal to me. I'm not a big fan of those sorts of movies. I don't mind gore when gore is needed, but to excessively put it everywhere, just not my taste.

Anyways, shred news ? I did hit blurry whirl bsos for the first time, and now all I have to do is try to hit blurriest bsos. As I push myself harder, I still notice my left leg hurting here and there within my knee and my shin, because it is still lacking strength in comparison to my good leg (right). I also hit flip fairy dlo for the first time (first try) and tried to bsos it, but missed it by a smidgin. This whole dlo thing is becoming cake and I love it, cause I can throw it in here and there without taxing myself a ton of energy. I will start throwing more eggbeaters here and there to even it out and keep variety. I also thought of a new trick that is totally doable now that I have revups down to a science and symple reverse swirls down. Symple rev-up. I know one side will be ok (right leg performing symp), but the other side will take a while since it lacks power to perform symp moves.

Other than that, I finished the session by skooling toe whirls to pdx dlo. Good side easy like cake so I practiced flip for like 15 minutes and wanted to repeat it. I was to the point where performing the flip toe whirl hurt a bit each time because it was so fatigued and not used to the motion. By the end of the session, my shirt was completely soaked and my hair the same, it looked like I just ran through the rain...gross. I did get down a lot of stepping out of drifters which is good. I can pretty much step out of any drifter variation on my strong side, and double downs and whirl stuff. That doesn't go for my flip though, it is so hard to get the power and control down to where I can step out. I pretty much need to get my flip stepping down to where it is more effortless...so when it comes to other variations I'll be able to use a more efficient movement, instead of attempting to whip my leg around and just fatiguing it to death. Anyways, enough outloud analyzation of my shitty flip side.

I uploaded about 3/4 of all my scso footage and still have a bit left. This is always the most painful task of editing because I have to go through everything and when I see something I like, I have to rewind and record what I like. So basically if I have an hour tape, that will take 1.5 hours to upload, and I've got a little over 2 tapes worth. Once that is done, I'll have all fine footage to edit to on my computer. That is when the fun stuff happens. Choosing music and just matching pieces like a puzzle, except I'm the creator with a fine exacto knife :P

It would have to be a symposium rev swirling pickup, not symple. Good luck!

Trying to push hard and drill hard. Unfortunately i was stopped abruptly by a twisting of my right ankle. I was drilling barflies really hard and I guess I lost concentration / fatigue at the wrong split second, hit the ground pretty hard, thought I heard the classic * snap *. Screamed "Shit !!" Calmed down and felt my ankle, performed some passive light stretching to see if there was any tenderness pain, nothin really. I guess the sound of my G-units clashing or something, got a little rug burn right around my scar on my left leg cause I hit the ground so fast. Guess it's a good thing I went down fast and put a lot of weight on my left knee instead of my ankle... close call. I would usually just call it off for the day, but I'm not. I will continue to skool barflies tonight and I will just focus on every drop, correct it as much as possible until I start hitting them consistantly with control. The only other time I've really sprained my ankle was a couple years ago...on barfly, so that's why I screamed shit, I thought I just reoccured the same thing that'd end my playing for over a month...phew...

Other than that I've been skooling my flip whirl so much that my left shin muscle (tibialis anterior) is pretty sore. I'm really working on toe control for all my moves and I think it's working it harder than usual. The fast pointing of my toe, pulling back, and then landing is stressin it pretty hard since I usually just stray away from those flip moves. NO MORE !!! I shall not stray ! Flip, say your fuckin prayers.

Working flip drifter drill, any whirl drills, and double down drills. And I'll try that symp rev up...I think my legs have had enough time to recoup from my lengthy bloggering.

Post session edit: Shred very hard, sweat everything I had. Drilled everything, and drilled flipside a lot more than strongside. Footed symp rev-up...both sides ! Worked double down stuff a ton, whirls also a lot. And kept trying ps whirl > ss butter > rpt. According to Wolf's Law, the bones in my left leg should be beefing up after tonight. Anyways... I got past the being tired stage and just went. I'm hoping I can do this everytime, because if I can, I will see lots of changes.

Ankle is a bit sore, pops more than usual, but there aren't any major problems. I'm not going to shred today unless a certain someone pressures me, then i shall. I think today we're supposed to play soccer cause the World Cup is tomorrow and everyone has been in the soccer mood. If I do play today, I'm going to tape my ankles and buy some cheap soccer shoes. Should be fun, I might even buy a White shirt and write France on it, .

Anyways, no footbag updates. I'll prolly bust some tomorrow as long as my ankle is feeling more stable. Things to hit - Blurriest bsos , Barfly ss butter > rpt > rpt > rpt. Pdx whirl > ss butter > rpt > rpt > rpt. Pdx whirl > whirl > rpt > rpt > rpt. Work on flip toe control. Ps whirl > ss butter > Rpt. Ps whirl >ps whirl. Flip blenders , pdx blenders, and of course... the symp rev ups, eggbeaters... phew, that is a good list. I think I might just break a sweat trying all that stuff, I almost did just writing it up.

Also need to upload the SCSO event vid. I finished that up this morning, pretty raw. After that I will search for songs I'd like to edit to and then start working on the SCSO Shred vid. Unfortunately there wasn't a ton of shred recorded. I didn't record anything, I just let other people record what they wanted. Kinda sucks cause I bearily captured any Caleb , Brad, or Jake shred. Also no Josh Gayhart or Nathan Pipenberg action. Prolly gonna be mostly Cleaver > Bevier > myself > lil bit of others.

I can't wait for the video. I always like your editing and music choice, so I'm confident it'll turn out great. But until I see it my thumb has to remain sideways

Thanks for that pic, it makes me miss Chicago. After watching some World Cup (Italy vs France), I went home and got ready for some shred. Biked over to City Park as a warm up and played in the usual spot. Park was pretty busy since it was so nice out, but damn it was hot and muggy. My ankle is still stiff and sore when I dorsiflex mainly cause I never let it recoup completely. I also bought some soccer shoes and played soccer yesterday, played horribly. I taped my ankle for prevention and protection since it was sore. I didn't feel like shaving my legs so I just taped right over it, *mistake #1*. I also taped it a bit low behind my heel and shortly after playing I had a blister *mistake #2*, and then I had to take the damned thing off 20 minutes after playing *very painful mistake #3*.

Even though I wasn't too light on my feet today I managed to play alright. Hit Pdx whirl > whirl > rpt. Also hit Barfly > SS butter > rpt > rpt > rpt. My flip barfly is looking better than my strong barfly, it's always cleaner, but not quite as controlled when I land. I'm really trying to get my dexes deeper on my strong side. Not a whole lot else, pdx eggbeaters were feelin good and then I took off home. Tried to end with the PS whirl > ss butter > rpt, but I still can't get that flipside down. I biked home and then to Wal-mart to buy the 6th Season of Macgyver, pumped ! This week I should be receiving my Lewd bag and also Moire DVD collection. Should be a good week.

Haven't played since Sunday. My ankle was still pretty stiff with soreness, but it's all good today. I played extremely hard today and am drenched in sweat. 90 % of today's game was drilling everything both sides. Before I started shredding I warmed up with a lot of 2's. Not just like, random string 2's, but like, consecutive mirages and stuff, that seemed to help my session out. I think I'm going to start doing that with clippers, mirages, illusions, and such. I worked whirls pretty hard today and had a bit of success on my flip side. It's still a pretty taxing move and drains me quickly. My form isn't great on either my strong or flipside. My double downs seemed to be on mark for the most part, for the first time, I tried mimicking my flipside because they're always deeper, helped a bit. Worked on rubberman a lot, didn't hit it, but came close and hit a couple different variations with shuffle, good stuff. All in all, a very good session even though there weren't any walls broken down, just many chips and pieces knocked off :) .

Oh, I have half of the SCSO video edited, that's good news. I still haven't received my footbag or dvd in yet, so the potential for this week is good. I now have a pair of G-units getting shipped in, a 32 footbag, and moire dvd. Outside of that, I should be taking a very cute girl out this weekend. Let's hope all goes well and she's not a psycho. I always wonder about girls like her, seems too good to be true.

Played for a lil over an hour after work. Played hard, sweat hard, felt results. It's really great, I feel like I'm learning things again, I'm an up&comer  . Anyways, skooled the usual today, more spinning. I really feel like I'm starting to get a good rhythm and hop. That confident style for each movement, quick and efficient. Of course not everything is like that, but everything seems to be moving that direction. Footed Symp Revup both sides, no love though. Basically drilled a bunch of everything today. Started up with basic 2's and I swear that is helpin me a good bit on my flipside. Dave told me to work your 2's and he was right, atleast on my flipside. Also all my toe set moves are getting better, all I have to do is think about the angle of my toe, point them upwards and magic happens.

Still haven't gotten my DVD or footbag, but those should be damned close. Hell, the latest thing I ordered were my G-units, and those came before anything else. Just got those when I came back from work, pumped. Other good news is things are going very well with Dee, girl I've been seein this week. I'm pretty infamous for movin a bit fast though, and things end just as fast as they started. So far it seems I'm taking that route again, so we'll see how long she'll stick around with me  Anyways, peace out, G G G G G G JAAA GEEE Unaaat !!

Thanks. Yeah, I got your msg, I usually take a while to get back to questions like that. I like to be a bit more on the informative side, ya know ? Anyways, onto the session !!!

Shred and drilled, fun fun fun ! I think the biggest highlight was when I hit superfly first try and was all tired and far into the session. Brad was trying it and passed, I just said "I gotcha." And busted superfly into a string, puuuuump ! So then I tried bedwetter, and of course brad replied "I gotcha." And nailed it, but bedwetter isn't very hard for him. Any stepping trick is a bit difficult for me since they are so poor and difficult. Pdx torque bsos, until Brad switched tracks and ruined my flowjo ! That's just a poor excuse actually for me dropping, he switched it from Metric - so succexy to whatever else, pretty good shred song in my ears. I played relatively good today except for a couple exceptions, my flip stepping set was pretty shitty. I was having a really hard time stalling it. A lot of times I was setting up for a stepping set, I'd just drop it . My barflies are still kinda hard on my goodside, I'm having a hard time cleaning it up and making it more efficient.

Hopefully on Monday, I'll be pleasantly suprised with a dvd and footbag. Another good news item - Diane (dee) and myself are doing very well, I'll just mark this as day 4, how long will it take until I screw it up ? Any takers ? I'm gonna be hopeful on this one and say.... 3 months, that'd be a world record for me.

Oh yeah, I rendered the shredvideo today and it's lookin real tight, I'm thinkin it's going to turn out very well. Maybe even Sam C. will be able to watch the whole video (referring to the tripod battle post  ) I'm about 1/2 way finished, it's taking me longer than expected. Reason 1. I've been doin stuff with dee. 2. I'm fine editing it more than first thought. 3. I'm a lazy person sometimes, but it shall be finished soon !!!!
