Which colors to choose?!
I really like Amatista as a solid purple. It is as riveting as Colonial Red, and just as soft. If anyone can tell me where I can get 1/8 yard of that color, that would be super sweet. Or maybe a purple that is just as good (I think Princess Purple looks a bit dull in comparison).
I'm going to e-mail Field Fabrics if they can do a special order on that color.

I think Sunny Sienna is a decent thick facile. It shouldn't be as bad as regular orange ultrasuede, and I've stitched bags with material that thick.

I have compiled a list of every type of Ultrasuede products on both the Toray site and Field's. I was convinced that some of the facile we were ordering off of Field's was either good or bad because it really wasn't ultrasuede light. I thought Field's had falsely identified it as facile.
It doesn't seem that way.
Still some of the facile from Field's is unaccounted for on the Toray list. And some from Toray, Field's does not sell.
You can download the list at:
http://www.webfilehost.com/?mode=viewupload&id=4558336
Its tiny, around 70kb. It is a Microsoft excel program so you must have excel to view it. It may work with other spreadsheets but I am unsure.
I think this may be used as a checklist to the colors you have and their performance, if nothing else. I also have a cool color coding chart I made up on there, so check that out too.
I just thought I would post it here. If it seems important enough, I can make its own thread. (I decided on the third version I would make its own thread. 2 down 1 to go)
Please notify me if you see any problems or improvements.
Thanks.
Edit: v2 is up with Toray's '07 facile colors. Download here: http://www.webfilehost.com/?mode=viewupload&id=2640098

Hello ! I’ve a little problem with the ultra suede light! I ordered 3 (marmalade, atlantis, willow) kind of this, and they split very easy. The bags endurance is 3-4 days, and I don’t know why? I fill them with pebble, plastic granulate, and with bearing balls. Is this a problem?
The bags weight is 40g. Thnx a lot for the help!

Hey Peet... I'm not the best sticher but i would say your problem could be the pebbles, i think rocks of anykind can be to abrasive on the facile, epsh cos they can break, and get sharp corners....
You best to stich with poly's and shot (lead or steel) as filler as its tried and tested
facile is very stong and should last an avg of 6 months (maybe less if you shred hard constently)
I may be wrong but thats my opionion
hope it helps a little

Pebbles and plastic granulate kill bags easily, I'm sure.

i got a bag recently that has princess purple. it seems to be getting "crunchy" and it looks like holes will come soon.
its a pretty color.
i just bought a shit ton of colors from fields... they are as follows:
colonial red
,
flash red
,
sable,
white
,
rhapsody,
animal print,
rose quartz
,
ceramic,
marmalade,
midnight
,
spanish gold.
there are about 3 or 4 of these that im pretty possitive they wont last (animal print, marmalade, and someone said rhapsody sucks). once i get these in the mail and get to using them im sure ill post my own spot in the "for sale" section. i do know that i like the two reds, white, midnight, and rose quartz. the rest are going to pretty much be a test. im nervous.
oh yeah, fields fabric has $3 shipping to US!!!!!

yeah the ones u listed u like are all really good for footbags, the others are a bit weak.. sable seems to tear somewhat easily, and spanish gold is just way too thick. Animal prints are thin but a bit more durable/dense than marmalade or rhapsody. Next time you order and are looking to order a hue of brown, try out brownstone over sable, it's very similar to midnight.
I find Animal Print to be an okay print facile to use. It can take it's girth of abuse before getting holes. I think out of all of the prints, Leopard Print is the most dense but hardly a consistent pattern to use on bags (it goes from a combination of white/black/beige to black/beige, rpt.). Princess Purple has a moderate thickness which I like.
Pretty much colors that are thick, like Spanish Gold, Sunny Sienna, Purple Shadow, etc. seem to break-in just the same for me. I see no problem for them except for categorizing them with colors that comply to the same thickness.

Sorry about the awkwardness of downloading it off of this file host site. You have to wait a minute to download it. The download link is at the bottom right of the screen in red.
Does anyone know a more convenient free file host?
