I stay as far away from that stuff as possible, I dont care if my friends or family do it tho. Its my choice not to, as well is it other people choices to kick "coach" as jim put it.

Hey there I am a Vancouver British columbia canada Shredder. alltogether my opinion on shredding stoned is dependent on the player. I have been smokeing weed for a long while and when i smoke pot it doesent affect my physical corordination. Except for the rair occasion.

I think smokeing weeds affect on your game depends on the individual. however i think there are certian thing about smokeing weed and footbag that should be concidered.

I am a pot smoker and have been smokeing weed for a great while now however i cant stand shreders that are far to out in the open when smokeing weed in a shred circle. I love smokeing pot but i dont wanna push the stoner footbager steriotype, it lowers us all.

and I'll still be getting budded behind the curtain at the world championships. The best player in the world is the biggest stoner. But I agree it's different for everyone.

Looks like you were'nt able to 'bud up' during Worlds eh Jim? Think about all the money you've spent on weed, you could've paid for your trip easily! Not trying to criticize or anything, but I dislike the 'I'll smoke pot at any cost!' attitude. I used to have that attitude and I missed out on a lot of opprtunities because of it.

Although, I didn't play footbag back then. I bet hitting really cool, long runs is immensely fun while baked.

Not much green for me of late, but back when I was a daily doser I found weed to have no effect on me physicaly, but large effect on me socialy. So I could bust just as hard blazed at home, but put me in a circle at a tourney or a camera in front of me and I couldn't string for the life of me. Same with my g-tar chops.

It is fun. Uh... I dunno dood weed is pretty cheap for some people, anyway i doubt Jim needs a lecture man. To each his own. Ill be smoking for a long time most likely, money comes money goes, but I am happy with my life, footbag, friends, school, music, books, pot. All is well in the universe.

That's pretty much the reason that I quit smoking. I just can't hang. Weed stops all mental processes for me (other than thinking about what everyone else is thinking about me), forget about playing footbag.

It's a shame because of the camaraderie we shared..Mary Jane will always have a soft spot in my heart, but we just can't be together.

I don't know many footbag players who do things because others do it. Really though, I thought was a bit pointless, no one said they were smoking to imitate vasek. Personally, I smoked before I even knew what footbag was or who Vasek was. But you are correct, people who put things in their body just to imitate others are lame.

Penske: Even though you're a fucking badass whilst stoned, I'd like to think that you could perform even better without weed. You're lungs would definitely be more efficient anyway. Have you tried not-smoking for a period of time, to see how it would effect your game? Im just curious; I have nothing against weed, in fact, I LOVE it, and would still be smoking it If I weren't joining the coast guard.

I recently quit smoking bud, and not only can I remember all kinds of things, but my footbag game has improved drastically, and I am much more productive in all aspects of life. Plus, I have loads of 'extra' cash

playing stoned isnt any harder, but i think its somewhat detrimental to your game...looking back at the past year and all the stoned sessions i have had, i cant help but think that if i didnt smoke my game would be alot better. I think that had i been playing sober i wouldnt have wasted so many hours trying tricks that should have been cake by now.

Simply put...smoking pot kills your endurance, i find that if i smoke before i shred i cant play for too long until i want to collapse, whereas if im sober i can shred for hours.

Hypothetically, of course.

I find smoking up before a session gets me SUPER psyched. I will be anyway, but it kicks it up a gear. As for during a session, I don't find it hurts at all. It might not help the game, but for me it does amplify the whole zen feeling of footbag, which I believe is crucial to the entire idea.

I've never tried, I've heard it's a good feeling to be stoned but if anyone comes telling me, face to face, that it's healthy for me and improves my physical performance, I wouldn't believe.

my consistancy sucks when im stoned but ive hit my biggest strings while blazed. it depends on the person, quality, and if the herb is an indica or sativa. i find that smoking a sativa then playing footbag rocks, i get really creative and try new tricks. but when i smoke an indica i lose intrest and go chill.
