Tonight is Clubs Night on Queen's campus today from 5-9pm. ANYONE who can come should come and throw down with us so we can attract some new members!

The event will also be occuring tomorrow at the same time. I can't tell you where on campus, because I don't know. From pass precedence, I would assume Grant Hall, PEC, or the JDUC.

Either way, we should be very visible in our short shorts playing with the jugglers. Come on down so every level of player can be represented and we don't look like a club of 2 people.

Played again today with Tom and Peng. At one point we attracted a bunch of kids from the local football team. That was pretty sweet having a bunch of football players think we were the shit. Having a little crowd was pretty sick, although they probably weren't as interested in me as in Tom. More people came up after they realized something was going on, two ladies from France (I think...) were totally impressed, they thought we were dancing from far. It was a good session, once I got warmed up.

One highlight was toe whirl >pdx illusion > rpt, which I hit after many tries.

I'm really looking forward to KICKASS2, playing footbag, meeting new cool people, what more could I ask for. I already know this weekend is going to be one to remember, and definately post about.

Time to do some work...

Alright, so today was the end of my first footbag tournament, and I figure I could do the whole tournament write up deal. The whole weekend was sooooo fun, I don't know if I've ever played that much footbag in that short of a time. I got to meet a whole bunch of really awesome and talented people, tournaments are definately a different experience.

Friday was a good way to start off the weekend, just getting to play with different people casually and see different styles and tricks. The party that night was really awesome too, Matt Cross put on a performance for everyone and people hung out and drank and stuff. Saturday was a long day, I shredded for longer than I ever have in one day. The circle competition was super fun too, just a few weeks ago I never even pictured myself competing. I made it to the second round, but ended up playing like crap that round. My set's went downhill by then, I figure I was worn out by then. That night the finals were held at a nightclub, which was also another good party. Watching the finals was amazing, there was so much talent from everyone. After they ended people started drinking and I ended up spending like 20$ on alcohol... drinking at clubs is expensive! Anyway, today was the last day of the tournament, and it was another day full of shred.

It still hasn't set in that almost all of the people I was able to play with today aren't going to be around next time I go to shred. I'm sure in a week I'll be wishing everyone was still around this town. My hips are super tight now, and my foot is sore... I need to take a few days off to recouperate. To sum everything up about KICKASS2 it really did kickass. Thanks Tom and Peng for putting so much work into this and making this tournament happen, I know everyone there appreciated it a ton, and everyone that wasn't there is going to be jealous when they see video's from it!

I met up with Tom and Peng tonight, and we had a little shred/juggling session in the dance room of the gym. It was a fun, relaxing session... the intense shred really didn't last for more then 15 minutes. I hit dso in shoes, which I knew I could, and finally I hit my flip drifter after so long of being able to hit drifter on my strong side. I ALMOST hit bubba beater, I think I'll get it soon. After the short footbag, Tom and I juggled while peng hung around. Juggling is so sweet, I can se why many footbaggers juggle and play footbag. I bought 3 balls last night from the juggler club and already have learned a few new formations, it's a great way to spend booring time in my dorm room, much better then looking around the internet every 5 minutes. I think I'll be a decent juggler in no time. Tomorrow I plan on drilling my stepping on my weak side, I want consecutive ripwalks soooo badly. Maybe those damn drifters too.

Hey Jake, thanks for keeping this blog alive!

Tonight was nice and mellow, I liked how we shredded to classical music. Heh, it felt more appropriate than the bluegrass we had on at first.

I felt like spinning wasn't impossible today, nice.

The KFM is looking forward to Cornell! :D

KFM meeting today! Jake and Derrick, you guys better come out to play! Ben should come out too. I haven't seen you since KFM meetings officially started commencing again. I will play a little bit, but I also have a paper to write. We'll see.

I'll definately be there tonight, I'm busting out work now so I don't have to worry about it later. Looking forward to playing with the kicky bags!

And thanks for the props Kevin =)

*edit* I met up with Tom and the juggling club tonight. We both played well, it was a fun 2 person session. I REALLY want to hit stepping far legover>leg beater>rpt, I hit the first half, starting both ways, but couldn't link it. I have trouble stepping out of leg beater. I had a few decent runs, Tom played awesome as always. I hit reactor for the first time, first try too... buuuuuut it was thin. The second time I came close again, but it didn't happen. I didn't try it much more. I can now juggle 4 balls sort of, at least for a few rotations, it feels crazy. My 3-ball is getting better, I can do a few basic things, and I can do full shower one way pretty easily, although full shower is still probably considered "basic". Juggling doesn't have an add system, so I can't tell!!! Anyway, time to bust out more work, I guess it's just far enough into the year where I'll always have work to do inbetween footbag and class and weekends. =P

Last night was fun! That was our first time playing with just you and me right?

As Jake said, we both played well, which is always nice.

My highlights were...

ps whirl b2b, not sure if Ive done it before, they were so easy last night
symp pixie x 4
symp fairy bsos first try ever, apparently I can hit that!
DOD, DDD, paradon & barf all bsos in my first run with double downs of the day. 8O Ive done that once before too.
rubberman was eeeeeaaasy! I can get past 6 contacts really consistently now
I had some cool shuffle.. can't remember anything though, shuffle is all a blur in my head. (wow, that pun was actually accidental, so I will leave it) :)

I want to play alot this weekend, cool Jake?

Hahaha yeah, I'll be up for playing tomorrow, I kinda want to give my shins a rest today, if I played for the next 3 days straight I know they would be fucked.

Another highlight I had from last night was smear>plo>rpt x3, I dropped it on the plo that would have made it x4.

Props on that pixie drill, I knew you had it in you.

I forgot one of my highlights, datw oi>fairy butt bs (actually one was fairy clipper.. but um.. the butt isn't the hard part of the highlight.. we)

I forgot to bring the camera to the session so we didn't film. It's okay, I think the session was better as a result.

I was so happy that PS whirls were easy for once, what a nice change! Now if only spinning was nice to me sometimes.

More drilling is needed!!

Jake! Tomorrow we shred! Also, let's trick derrick into coming too. :P

Today me, tom and derrick had a really good session. Tom forgot the camera, like usual, but it never really matters. We played in the squash courts, it was a cool area to shred in. I hit pdx dlo for the second time, it's going to become a more common trick for me I hope. We did a little circle competition, it was really fun. We actually did a few circle competitions with like 3 rounds in each. I hit flip pdx dlo for the first time ever today, and it was mid-string during our competition. To anyone who has other people to play with I recommend the mock circle competition, it's very fun and fast and all that stuff. It makes you shred hard. I just realized I wrote competition in like almost every sentence of this write up. I can't wait to shred again, it was just super fun today. Now it's study time, I have a few finals this week, Peace...

*edit*I just decided that next session I will hit spinning x-body rake for the first time.

Today was my first solo shred since I've got to Kingston. For a while there I lost a little motivation, kind of thinking what is the point in playing this sport, all the hard work I've put into it is never going to get me money or anything, but I realized recently it really is just for fun. And the better I can play the more fun I will have. So, I had a nice little drill session alone in the squash courts. I tried to focus on landing my butterflies with my toes inward, because my feet go like this \ / which isn't helping my clipper crank. Highlights of today were...

Infinity>stepping same clip>rpt
Stepping op clip>same butter>rpt
Stepping same clip>stepping op clip>rpt
Ripwalk x 4!!!!- dedicated to Tom
Fairy (as a set, without another dex, alternating toes) x 5
Toe whirl>whirl BS
Whirl x4 strong side
Osis x 6 (twice :D )

I don't know how often I'm going to be drilling, because I still want to lift and gain some more muscle. Today I was going to drill then lift, but ended up not doing my whole lifting routine because the drilling owned me pretty good. I'm going to have to figure something out, because doing them one right after the other is intense...

Yeah Jake!! Glad to hear you hit all that shit, those are all things you should be working on, good job.

The session yesterday with derrick and Jake was good and fun.

The only highlight I can think of for me was symp pixie>symp fairy bsos.

Oh yeah, we did some fearless too, Derrick and I are racing to 5.

I hit pheonix>pdx torque>ps whirl but didn't seal the handcatch.
I also hit legbreaker>BW>BW>blurriesting kick the bag.

I think a 5 fearless I could hit would be legbreaker (or phoenex)>BW>BW>p torque>ps whirl that wouldn't be too hard. I could even toss in far motion or blurriest or tomahawk in there, I should work on this more.

Peng and I are going to be playing and working out on this crazy schedule, we started today with the core workout, tomorrow we shred!

I am excited to get to spend lots of time drilling, I don't drill enough!

Hey Mosher. You're a great footbagger and I appreciate your influence on the footbag scene. You've maintained your perosna, image, but still pushed footbag skool. 'preciate it bud. Thanks for keepin a scene goin, and thanks for pushin your game to levels I can aspire to. I'm sure KICKASS did just that, and I have to say I've never done a kegstand, but I'm sure I'd do Canada justice.

Come with me to Pointe Au Baril, we'll all hang out and shred

Peace,

ShredZ=CMilz=Chris Miller, whatever man, thanks!!!@@!@!!

Thanks Chris, I do what I can. :)

I sometimes feel like all my effort is for nothing.. but then I realise that I am just not appreciating what I have and how much of that is from my hard work.

While were busy giving out props, I think your bags look superb chris. :D

KFM shred today! Peng and I are going to be doing our fancy schedule today, whee! That means I get to properly warm up and then drill!

Oh gosh, I want to be craaaazy good by NYJ.

I want to be good for Cornell, but those homies have all seen what I can do, I want to impress the most at NYJ where there will be 90% fresh faces that don't know how sharp my blades can cut.

You might get your chance to TRY to shred me at NYJ. We'll see how it all plays out . . .

My style is clean, yours is dirty.
You hit gross tricks, mine are purty.
I shred like 21, you shred thirty,
Throw Mosher in the Washer cause I'm so nerdy.
