hahahahah that was some excellent poetry. So I wasn't planning on drilling, but my love for footbag is back in full effect and I read Tom was drilling and I couldn't let him out do me. Basically I worked on the same things as last time, I figure if I drill them for a few weeks I'll own them all.

Highlights:
-18 butterflies (on 4 different accounts, I couldn't fucking get 20 :? ) - new record
-Stepping opp clip X6 - new record ... it might have been on my first attempt too, I know it was early on in my stepping drills.
-stepping same clip>ripwalk>stepping same clip>ripwalk off the foot
-12 consecutive fairies (as a set, alternating sides like last time)
-Fear>Fairy leg over > rpt!!!!!!!!

Fairies will be mine soon.

Sorry Jake, I have a midterm tomorrow and Tom's gone to work. :(

Want to play Friday sometime instead? Sorry we didn't tell you. We've never had a KFM member keen enough to show up without us calling them on Thursdays.

Hehehe I have a midterm tomorrow also.

I juggled for like 15 minutes anyway, it wasn't all that bad.

Ummm I have to figure out what I have to do tomorrow, I know I have a few things I wanted to do like go to the gym, buy beer, I have the midterm, and a lab... so I guess in the afternoon sometime would be cool most likely, I'll give you guys a call when I know what's up.

Alright so I finally got my long awaited (like 4 days without playing) KFM hacky session. I played not so well at first, but Tom gave me some advice to do runs with shit I know I can hit to warm up. It worked well, after that I played a lot better. We videotaped a little bit, which I sucked at playing in front of, it ran out of battery after like 5 minutes or so. I hit a bunch of new shit today, some highlights are:
-drifter>drifter
-Blurry drifter (new 5 for me)
-paradon BS, it feels a lot more natural after Derrick and Tom told me some tips.
-fairy dlo: another new 3dex for me. I bet I can hit tapping dlo
-peng saw me hit ripwalk x3 to hand catch

We played for a looonnnggg time tonight, compared to how long we usually play. Tomorrow I might drill, but I'm about to be flooded with crap loads of work between a few essays and midterms... If I drill I'm going to try to solidify my drifters and paradons and definately stepping. If I don't get to it tomorrow I'll definately get at it sometime this week. Good session, and good night...

I was pretty stoked on our session.....I was trying to hit my flip superfly, and my flip mullet, so i could have them complete, because i only have them on one side. At the end of the session , when every1 was stretching, i hit my flip superfly, 3 times  , then right after, i hit my flip mullet.....and thats why i was stoked...

..Good job on hitting fairy dbl legover jake!

Yeah! We're awesome!

Peng was ripping it so hard, I am really proud of her! mirage>pixie bsos!!

I hit mullet both sides. :)
I have hit it before but only on one side.

I can feel some good fearless combos on the tips of my toes.

I have me doing jani>bw>blurriest on tape and it looks cool, I like the aggressive feeling of fearless shuffle. One day (maybe soon) I will be able to hit some good combos.

far motion>ps whirl bs first try felt sick too.

I STILL can't spin, what will finally make them work for me????

So frustrating! Nothing else in life makes me want to get mad and hit stuff, spinning does almost right away. :(

One day!!

So apparently people can reserve the free rooms in the squash courts... I got kicked out today when I was still drilling infinities, so lame. And it was by two old dudes to... I need to start reserving them before I lift, then I can use them with out worries of being kicked out. I'm just mad I didn't get in the drill session I wanted today, I wanted my paradons to be stronger so I could hit them mid-string next meeting. Eh, we'll see what I can do tomorrow if I have time, even though wednesday is my buisy-as-hell day...

KFM meeting tomorrow night though! Maybe I'll be there if I get some work done on this essay. I'll remember to call you if Tom has to work although he's trying to book it off.

No one was there last night, so today I drilled a little bit after my lift. I hit 24 infinities>hand catch because it got tiring.

I drilled paradons for like 10 or 15 minutes too. I think I'll have trouble hitting it midstring still though because the foot switch timing still feels awkard to me. It was mostly paradon>hand catch, alternating sides. I also tried it out of legover, which felt awkard, again because of the foot switch timing, but I managed to hit it both sides. They are definately growning more consisten (although they still aren't really consistent). I didn't want to drill just paradons because I didn't want to hurt my legs, they aren't used to double dexes from out>in.

I ended by doing some torques, I want strong torques so I can hit them BSOS easily. I still think torques are the coolest move in footbag (espically for their add value), they are just so unique. Apparently today I found out my "flip" torque is actually my strong torque now. For some reason my stong torque has something fucked up with the timing and feet switch and all that crap, I cannot figure it out. It was a little frusturating, but my new strong torque really felt nice and floaty and big and exaggerated when I was hitting it, which I liked.

I still need to find time to drill friggen drifters. I tought about it today after my session, and I think that if I can hit drifters easily, torques will become more natural. Mostly because the initial foot switch and mirage motion (seems, maybe it isnt...) very similar to me. Not sure how right that is, but it's just a theory.

I don't think I'll be playing this weekend, mostly because I'll be going to halloween costume parties. My costume is pretty funny, maybe I'll post some pictures if I take some.
Time to study for my psych midterm today at 5, bummer.

Solo drill sesh tonight, kinda dissapointing about having to drill clippers like I'm a total beginner again. <--- that is because I got mesh g-units, so now I don't have that big ass pocket to catch the bag... My osis are pathetic now, worse then they were before.

-around 14 infinities
-clip>sameclip>osis>rpt x3 or 4
-osisx3 :?
-drilled paradons again, i always start dropping the first few, then as I hit more and more they get more consistent throughout the session they begin to feel more natural as I go on
-pixie paradon bs (i think they were clean, it's hard to judge on yourself though...)
-tried fairy paradon forever, footed it a few times, ALMOST seald it once but I sucked at the hand catch, I had to reach pretty far.
-spinning x-body rake - fucking sweet feeling move.

I guess it was okay, didn't work stepping now that my clippers are weak as shit, I want to be able to have a good straight up and down game with lots of control, it just doesn't make sense to begin drilling stepping again when my clippers suck this much ass. A little dissapointing, but it makes sense to take some steps backwards before I can take a shit load forwards.

I just solo sessioned at the squashcourts and it was fun!

Highlights:
- new inf record = 121 to end the session
- blurry whirl>spinning pdx whirl bs!
- footed ripped warior bsos
- spinning butterfly bsos (probably not new)
- spins didn't totally suck :)

I went swimming before my session, what a nice way to warm up!

I feel like I am on the cusp of being a sick spinner! :D

@ Jake:

Sick shit man! New 3-dexes both sides!?! Beautiful! Spinning Rake is also sweet! I'm going to try that next session for sure! Mix in some Gyro/Spinning Mirages!

@ Tom:

Swimming sounds like a great way to warm up... though I am a crazy bad swimmer. Anyway, that's an amazing Inf. record! Mine's something like 40. The best way I've found lately to work spins is just going for consec. Spinning Clips... I've only got 4 on each side, I want to see 8-10 from you!

I wish Kingston was closer. Keep up the good work lads!

Seshed with Tom today, it was fun. We mostly did our own thing though. We filmed, I didn't hit anything that great through, I can't play for the camera.

Highlight of today:
-Merlin!... even though I couldn't hit it for the camera after like 100 attempts, I hit it off camera and sealed it with the hand catch. Thanks Tom for being patient and letting me try for so long hahahhaa.

I've decided that in the future of my drill sessions that I'm going to work on a few things to change my form, because I personally think I look like an idiot when I play the way I stand now.
-Stand more straight up, I slouch kinda when I play, looks sloppy.
-Point toes INWARD! I sometimes tend to do the duck style stance.
-Focus on cushioning for those two intense tricks I suck at (clipper and osis )
-I think I had more, but I forget them now, I'll edit it if I think of more.

In conclusion I think if my stance changes I'll get better faster. Bye.

I was so dependent on the pocket in my old G-units. I feel like such a beginner now, it sucks. I can't pixie anymore either for some reason. Footbag has its good times and bad times, right now I'm feelin shitty about it. I don't even remember how good I wanted to be when I first started, I can't tell if I've met that goal. tIt sucks because no matter how good people get, they always want to be better. I just feel like I've hit a wall and I can't get better. I have to work on ankle crank again, man I'm such a noob.
