Hey Jake,

Don't let sucky sessions get you down, you just have to put up with a few of those until you get to a really great breakthrough session where stuff starts to actually work.
Also, I made a movie out of the footage from two sessions ago. It doesn't suck, I just havn't posted it or anything. It's the first movie Jake's ever been in!

Yesterday was a fun and interesting session!

Pengpeng, myself, Jake and a newbie John Bagi came out.

It was John Bagi's second time out. Geez, look the fuck out for John 'Foot'Bagi!!

He is a newb with INSANE potential.

Here's an example. He started hitting pixies, then they became a set, then he started footing/hitting magellan, smear, pixie ss mirage outta nowhere!! He's very smart and he has the propensity for getting hooked on things. I have high hopes for this guy! Oh yeah, and he's built like a farm helper... because he was one for years! hah!

We started playing in a squash court then got kicked out by a group that had the space booked. We then moved to a semi-cramped hallway and resiliently kept playing.

Peng is SO close to hitting osis!! She is going to be such a great spinner with a slick smooth style once she plays long enough to have the confidence to hit things she wants to hit. It makes me really happy watching her shred, I love it when she really gets into things. :)

Oh yeah, freak john also hit osis like he'd been doing it for years. crazy kid!

I don't think I hit anything noteworthy... uhhh symp whirling swirl bsos...
I felt like Penske sometimes, mostly on form and trick selection though.

The first ever shred video with Jake in it! Go jakey!

both of us were adjusting to our mesh camo g units so consistency was a bit down.

There is some cookie cutter fearless of me at the end too. :)

Sweet vid guys. :D

The writing at the top and bottom was kind of annoying though, but it was easy to get used to.

Bsos Paradon was sick, Jake.

And Frontside Legbeater>Symp Whirling Swirl was sick as well...

You guys are good. :D

Looks like you're adapting to the new shoes well.

Hahaha thanks, I didn't feel like I threw down to well that session, if only I had my leather G-units. Oh well, my style will get better now that I actually have to learn ankle crank and blah blah. I just need to start playing more, as soon as all my work dies down...

Edit... I just watched the movie, I look better than I thought I do when I play, that was a nice little confidence booster.
Tom, I'm fucking lucky I can play with you, you're so good! Sorry I've been so damn buisy with work lately *it isn't random excuses!!!*, I just hope you don't think I'm copping out on the KFM hahaha. Tomorrow night it's on like donkey kong baby.

P.S. I'm a sweaty son of a bitch when i play...

Hey Jake, I understand that school and shit gets in the way, also, I know you're hardcore and would never make shit up to get out of shredding. You were a solo shredder! They are the most resilient of them all!

See you tomorrow, lets go big!

Oh, I guess while I am here I should post about the session derrick and I had today. It was good!

We played in this really old all wood hall on queen's campus with the delightful musical background of two dudes playing classical guitar.

Here are some things I can remember:

Me
- duck>swirl rpt
- ps whirl>swirl bs
- osis>swirl rpt

Derrick
- superduperfly again
- ps whirl>swirl bs

We filmed a bit, I don't know if there was anything usable yet.

Tonight's session was craaaaazy. We played from like 7 - 9:45ish. It was so long, and so fun. Everyone played really well, I'm glad the KFM has a new member who shows a lot of interest. Tom mentioned him before, his name is Jon, and if we got some footage of him you wouldn't believe he's just starting to shred. He'll be better than me in no time. Oh and Tom kicked ass as usual, he hit a ton of new crap.

I was very very pleased with how I played tonight, it was a good change of pace from last session. I hit lots of new crap, links mostly.

I can't remember many, but some were
-whirl>ripwalk bs
-blur>legbeater bs (I think I can get at least half of rubberman next session)
-atomsmasher x2
-fairy paradon off the foot
-magellan>smear>plo>rpt
-footed matador twice on my stong side, I now have a developing nuclear set on both sides, yay.

I can't think of many now, but damn, it was a cool session. If they all went that well I'd be nuts by now. Time for a pogo and sleep, good night.

p.s. Tom, call me sometime saturday afternoon, I'll make sure I don't get to hung over for it.

Yeah, last night we were hardcore! I think it was more like 7 - 10:30ish. Next time remind me to be a good boyfriend and call pengpeng so she doesn't worry about me. I got home to find that my housemates were off searching for me, hoping not to find me crushed under some car or something.

Here are my highlights;

- uhhhhhhh.... no really.. what the hell, i can't remember any..

At one point I was talking and said how you could just make up combos then do them so I said that I would do "magellan>smear>pix ss mirage>rpt>dim>step far leg>pixie pickup rpt".

Jake asked me "can you remember all of that?"

I said 'sure!' and nailed it first try, wa bam!

Oh! I do remember a highlight. To end the session I hit torque>pdx egg both sides first try!!! yesss! New link first try!

I guess I just drilled and shredded mostly last night.

John said he was going to start posting on modified, I assume he didn't start last night because he probably got in trouble with the Mrs. like I did.

woops! Next time we will be good boyfriends.

Anyway, you guys better call if you're going to be home late next time. I'm all for playing more footbag if you have the energy to, but at least make me not have to worry. And Tom, who you calling the Mrs.?

:p

I'll come out to play soon hopefully. I can't believe how swamped I am.

Nice pictures pengpeng!! :D

The session was alot of fun, there were four of us so we played 4 square!

John is going to be insane at footbag, I am calling it now. He is so damn hardcore too!

Jake, you are making great progress, it's nice that you're so keen and come out so often.

Jared was there too, I want him to keep coming out regularly so he can put his good foundation to use and get sick!

There is shred planned for tomorrow but I think we have some timing problems.. derrick will be mad at me.

Today's session was fun!

It was me, derrick, john and jared.

Highlights from me:

far motion>pdx blender
blurry whirl x 6 (new personal record)
ss butterfly swirl
superfly bs again
maybe other stuff

Derrick went OFF!!!!!! He doesn't really post on modified so I will brag for him:

FLURRY BOTH SIDES!!!
ps whirl>ps whirl

Probably lots of other stuff.. but he beat me to flurry, damn kid! :)

John did great too, he's going to be mental!!!

He hit dimwalk>pdx mirage, his best link ever!

Pretty good, very long session. It was me, Tom, Derrick, and Peng, but Peng and Tom left earlier because of a party or something. I hit a few new things today, I was definately pleased for the most part. I feel like I'm making progress once again.

Highlights:
-Bar fry (pdx tapdown) first try ever was off the foot, second was sealed so clean on tape.

After I hit that I was like hm, I can definately hit sumo. Next time the bag came to me I hit and sealed Sumo on my first ever attempt at it. I never have hit a trick first attempt (unless you count the one I mentioned previously off the foot)...

-3 contacts of rubberman, I suck so hard at legbeater>blur, but at least I'm half way to completing it

-In an attempt to become better at legbeater>blur I drilled it for a while, and hit it BS. I should work it more, it's my missing link.

-footed everyone's favorite trick, PS whirl, about 3 or 4 times. Derrick stuck around forever watching me and gave me a lot of tips that helped a ton. He's so good at analyzing moves. I got close a TON to hitting it, I really don't think I could come any closer to nailing that one. I think It'll come next session.

My shins hurt, I hope I didn't go to hard today, everyone knows shin splints blow hard. And to the KFM, I don't know if I can make it Thursday, I have a psych final, it MIGHT be at night. I really hope it isn't, I like the KFM meetings, biosci is a sick place to play. I'll have to look into that and get back to you guys. Time to study hard for my first final tomorrow.
Peace out...

I dont know how to quote someone, but i dont really care either, but your welcome for me staying and giving tips, I dont mind at all, just makes the KFM better. And props for footing PS whirl 1000 times, you can definately hit it, no doubt about that!

I dont think it hit very much today, i had a couple high intense strings, i like to do a couple of thoses a session. This time i had a blender in it....i love blenders, all thanks to Jim Penske. I also hit jani walker>superfly.

While Jake was attempting PS whirl, I hit a trick that i have never seen before, and neither has tom or jake, I dont know if I invented it :? .. I can describe it as a behind the back ps whirl, or ingyro ps whirl....maybe, lol

Over all great session KFM!

Man, when we were playing I was going to describe it as that same thing, but I didn't. The behind the back PS whirl suits it pretty well, although the dex isn't whirly. We should definately get it on tape next session and post it so people are like WTF! hahaha.

And I'm pretty sure my psych exam is at 9am, so I can totally make the meeting if it is.

I came up with a goal for the next month... hit rubberman! If I start on my weak blur and get the step out of my first legbeater I don't see why I wouldn't be able to hit this drill... Not to far out of my grasp, and in a month my steps and atomics will be far better then they are now. Good luck to me...

Pretty fun session tonight. Baggie showed up at like 9, I felt bad because Tom and I played alone so we were pretty beat when he showed up, but we stuck around for a bit. I had some good moments tonight, I can't really think of many of them but here are some...

Footed wauxspin after a few tries, I love that trick, it messes with my head when I see others do it. I'm suprised I didn't go for the seal, that's not usually my style when I'm that close.

Stepping same legover and stepping opp legover bsos in the same string for an ending run. I guess my stepping is coming along okay.

Oh and I also figured out a more efficent way to do Osii, which made my average jump from 2 most tries to 4 conescutive osii most trys, and resulted in me breaking my record of 6 ,in my old G-units, to 7 in my new G-units. I guess I don't need the cup on the side of leather G-units to play.

I want to mod my nastase's, I think I'll just remove the outer layer of the toe and inner wall, not lace them up specially. I like how lavers feel with only the mesh, their so floppy and comfy. I just decided I will do it after winter, because it may provide too much ventilation, which would result in cold feet. I guess I'll wait until spring, damn! Thats all, bye!

I sucked last night!

I hit some okay stuff though..

80 osii
uhh.. that's it.

I will be good soon I hope! :D

I felt bad for John last night. He is SO fucking hardcore!! He worked 12.5 hours on his feet then rush cabbed to the session just to play with us a little bit. He didn't even know if we would still be there!

We were wrapping up our session when he came in and we had to be strong and session on!

So many tricks and concepts were frustrating me last night!

I will be stronger and better soon I think.

Thanks for being so keen Jake and John. Derrick and Peng are keen too, they just couldn't make it out.

Another fun session. I realized no matter how I play at these sessions, although I might bitch about sucking sometimes (or all the time), I always have fun. Today was another fun one, I did okay, the usual. We had 4 people, the more the merrier! (so gay, but it's true). Baggie purposly went to work an hour late to play, he's Hardcore with a capitol H.

I hit...
parkwalk>stepping far legover>rpt

paradon>pdxmirage>rpt (last contact off the foot... doh!)

ssclipper x 20>ripwalk>rpt

ducking clipper x 2 twice or 3 times i think

diving clipper for the first time, my second try

We took a lot of pictures, it was fun. Many of them turned out super goofy, it was cool. We got me hitting eggbeater, which I can rarely seal. It looks pretty rad.

I want to play again tomorrow! We'll see how everyone feels in the morning, maybe it will happen.

I keep sucking at sessions, but they are still fun.

My only hightlight was hitting 223 osii first try. That was nice.

I hope I don't suck soon, this is getting frustrating.

I'm not sure what I need to do or change to get better, but I have a feeling the secret is that I need to spend more time shredding alone.

I think I have to shred alone more as well Tom. When we play together it's always like "Okay, lets drill!" then like 10 min later we're back in a shred circle hahaha. You'll figure it out in time!
