Sorry, I just don't think that's right.

My feelings are not hurt. I kind of like it. I'm not overly stressed about footbag's image, and I generally prefer to stay the hell out of these little debates, BUT... I like to read this forum at work (even though I'm not supposed to) and it's an image I can really live without on my computer monitor. For the sake of not getting me fired, I'd appreciate it if you changed your avatar. Hell, keep it something drug-related if you want, but I think the moving image, the green herb on the paper, the smoke, (basically because its an eye-catching little moving image,) might attract more attention than a still image. (really, if I were fired, I supposed it would be my own damn fault, but that avatar isn't going to help matters any, and it just makes me feel extra nervous). Thanks.brinard wrote:does it really hurt your feelings to have that to see that?
I like david's approach to the situation as well. In fact, it's exactly the kind of approach I'd wished someone else had taken recently to an issue with another player's image choices.Jeremy wrote:I really like the way, David, that you brought this up and put forward your opinion, rather than trying to get an admin to remove it. I agree that this is a good approach to solving these sorts of problems, which is why its the approach I take, and it also the approach I have largely seen taken by other mods - however, unfortunatley not everyone who uses the forum respects the other users as much as david or Setman, if Setman had decided not to change his avatar, and then david decided to make a more offensive one about him and post it all over the place, and send him abusive pms, we'd have a problem. Thankfully they were mature enough not to do that and we have no problem. Thanks guys, it just goes to show that modified isn't such a horrible place after all.I really like the way, David, that you brought this up and put forward your opinion, rather than trying to get an admin to remove it. Don't you remember how perfect the forums were for that month when Jeremy was an admin? I wish he'd become an admin again so the forums would go back to being perfect...Matt Cross wrote:
I'm finding a lot of your posts regarding the mod staff rather finger-pointy lately, Mr "I've got the solution to all your problems, but it's a secret".
