Yo Daryl wie geht's Kerl?
Hm yeah, it really is my first fearless link. I've focused on basics (I actually mistyped first and wrote "vasics"

) for quite a long time. And then when I first got into guiltless play I became a little conservative as far as trick choice is concerned (no fives). And THEN I quit footbag for over half a year so yeah that pretty much leads us up to the present

. My career in a nutshell!
But over the last 2 months I have been enjoying and skooling bigger tricks and I intend to keep it like that.
My 9 tripless were: atom>legb>blur>dim>side>rip>side>rip>ducking butt. Like I said, in the mood for shuffle
Hm yeah, if you want tips for nuclear Yves is da fucking maaan, but I'll do my best:
-There are a few things I think are important with respect to the setting position:
*Keep your ankles very close together/quasi touching on the clip stall. This will make the required dex window smaller.
*Go deeeeep with the clipper until the outside of your foot pretty much touches the ground. If you start the set from as low as possible, you'll have more time to pivot and dex.
*Ah yes, the famed pivot. I love this part. I don't know if other people do nuclear like this but this works best for me. "Open" your shoulders/upper body to the footbag (my god, this sounds esoteric), i.e. turn your shoulders toward the clipper stall and make sure you pretty much look straight down on it (stay over the bag).
Then as you release the set and do a small hop (for dex height), the only thing that has to pivot is your lower body (because you've opened your shoulders already). Not only is this a lot easier ("pivot 1/2 body" is faster than "pivot body"), but also the second (opposite) pivot that many nuclear tricks require (matador, sumo,...) becomes easier as you don't have to put time and effort in stopping your upper body from pivoting (it didn't).
-Set, release and then pivot (though with good speed). When I used to fuck up (and still do) it was 'cos I started dexing with the bag still on my foot (thus slurring and hitting my support leg)
-dex with the crook of the knee. This part of the leg goes highest with the least effort. But Daryl you have no problems there as you have a bloody brilliant atomic.
-your first nuclear attempts should probably be for paradox tap (i.e. nuclear same side mirage). Paradox tap is one of the few nuclear tricks that is hittable from a low set and doesn't require the opposite pivot. If you feel ready go for matador.
Uhhhh, that's about it. If you manage to get all the above talk translated into muscle memory you'll be there in no time

.
And oh yeah, I'll consult my "o"-challenge list
