IPODS are not bad products, I have used them Im not a big fan of the whole touch dial, To be honest I find it sketchy and jumpy not user friendly, I guess I just havent had one to myself long enough to get to thoroughly enjoy it. Please guys dont take any of this the wrong way Ipod makes a great product thats clear, Ill just be getting mine for free, instead of shelling out 4 bills.
And as for the earbud discussion. Psilocybe is right although Sony makes good full sized headphones the earbuds will be sure to break (cables tangle/fray easily, covers come off the buds) As for Sennheiser Ive never seen any of their earbuds, but they are one of the big names at the forefront of the headphone industry, I know their full size headphones are clear as day and pound mad bass. Sorry for my long ass rants guys I took radio broadcasting so Im a boner on sound quality.
Fred Itunes is a great program for music management I just couldnt see myself paying for it/single songs
I don't think your realize, that non of us are attacking you, defending ourselves, or anything. I honestly don't care if you don't like iPods for whatever reason. All I said was that you shouldn't say something's of bad quality when it really isn't, it just didn't match your personal preferences.
I was not defending my like or dislike for iTunes. I don't like iTunes much, but it does it's job, and that's all that matters to me when it comes to that. Because I only have to use it once in a while to update my iPods and sync new music.
My personal belief, is that Apple took what other companies created, and just made it better, by a technical standard. 30GB, 12hour battery life, high res screen with nice color, however, it's smaller. Which was the deciding factor for me.
Again, between Creative, Apple, and Microsoft, it's really all preference. Technically, Microsoft is the more powerful media player, because it has the bigger screen, that's it. There's not much else that's too great about it. Wireless sharing... So what? You'll see maybe 1-2 people ever 1-2 weeks, that has a Zune, with a song, or video, that you don't have, that you know, that is willing to share it with you. I thought it was a pointless feature.
So the basics are. They all have 30GB, they all play music, they all play video, they all store picture, they all can be used for disc space (external hard drives). They all cost the same. The only one that is more powerful, is the Zune, because of the larger screen. I don't see that as a big enough difference to not be able to put it in my pocket. When I looked at these, I didn't think about the specs, because I already knew all the specs were the same. I looked at which one looked nicer, and which one was going to be more practical. I can fit the iPod, in it's leather case, in a side cargo pocket on my leg, and and pokes out of the top. All I need to do, is tap of the button, and pull the iPod out to change the song, and put it back in. It's been perfectly secure there ever since I started doing it, and it actually looks pretty cool that way. The Creative and the Zune, both are too big to do that. They'd have to sit in one of the bigger cargo pockets, unsecured, flipping around if I'm walking fast or running for whatever reason, smacking against my knee. Also, the only colors for the Zune out at the time, were White, and Brown, fuckin' ugly. And the Creative is not sleek or attractive by any means IMO. My only logical choice, is the iPod. Because it's what I liked, in appearance, and because it works really well with all of my pants, lol. Weird reason, but it's a reason.
... Now I'm ranting, great, lol.
But, yeah... iPods are advertised as Black now, not White. No one likes the White iPods anymore. They look pasty and icky. Which is probably why the iPhone is black.
I guess the point is, why do you keep apologizing for... whatever it is you're apologizing for?
