Hey,

So things are alright, and I started warming my ankle back up. Good. I also read Erik and Andrew's blogs and they took pictures of their rooms and I really enjoyed it. It was really cool to see where they live and stuff, so I wanted to do the same. If anything it will help me remember my room. My dorm room was super different but this is the room I have lived in for 18 years and still do now (since its the summer). Here we go.

Image
Enter. This is some random poster of metroid prime which is a gamecube game I was so frikken hardcore about when it came out. It's a really great game if you've never played it. ITs really funny that its still up there, mainly because i dont even have a gamecube nor play video games. But he guards shit quite well. Scares the cat I think.

Image
This is my nightstand which as you can see is super crowded. Close ups:

Image
So this is a little bowl I put finished bags in before I mail them. Here are 3 new clavens bags that are ready to be sent out over the next few days. Under that is a freedom footbags sticker and next to that some facile. You can see a 3 year old lonn bag peeking out from under the fabric.

Image
Mr. Penske, my lamp, and my retainer (keepin' my grill fresh you know). Nothing else really. Put my phone there at night.

Image
Where magic doesn't happen. (ladies, call 1-800-cleaver). One blanket cuz it gets really hot. Super nice and comfy though. Some bubble mailers on the bed for the bags to be sent out in.

Image
Poster ashley danowski got me for my birthday ages ago. I really like the spiderman movies, but have never actually read the comic book. Chan has the same poster.

Image
Pool order from the Rippin Run at steel city open last summer. Epic 86 contacter for the win against Flash. A really cool prize/souvenir from the jam. I like how they write my name different every time.

Image
One of my most prized posessions. The contest winning prize for that footjam thing a few years back. Signed by felix, eric wulff, and I think vasek. Worth a lot to me.

Image
Pretty lame wallpaper. Bob the builder poster from ashley for one of my birthdays. Some drawings of skating/a car/animals I did when I was younger. A cool picture of a 20 stair 50-50 I think I got with a pair of skating shoes a long time ago. That one thing with the bottles is done completley with dots. Pretty neat.

Image
I took commercial art as a senior and one of the things we would do to warm up was throw shit on a table and draw it. So this was a bunch of random things the teacher had lying around. I never finished it, but I think I like it better that way. Its' not great, and I really don't think I have any talent, but I like the skull and the folds of the cloth.

Image
A mess. The TV I watch tons of shred things on. No cable, just a vcr for videos. You can see Bionic Commandos right under the tv, best game boy game ever made. Also a wax hand I made with ashley when I was like 13 is to the right of the TV.

Image
My mom put this up when she got sick of moving my trophies and shit around. CSS plaques, spike and shred stuff, my us open trophy, my us open and worlds medals, this thing from highschool, a turtle, and my certificate for being the best bagger in my grocery store. (if you dont know about me in the district bag off, im sorry, but im not relaying that story).

Image
Facile. A belt. I have more fabric somewhere.

Image
Another mess. A stereo I never use my sister gave me, some clothes, random scatters. The flash is cool in the mirror though. Big ass roll of amaretta up top.

Image
The dreaded closet. Tons of shit that I don't wear, but a lot of it I do. I strarted hanign my shit after I got in the habit after college. It's better that way. Lots of boxes of lame stuff from my childhood.....

Image
My first pair of lavers ever. Memories.

Image
A fragment of my bag collection.

Image
Oh god. When I pulled this shit out of my closet I nearly died laughing. These are pogs. Do you know what they are? Pogs were around in like, '97. They are cardboard, and you played this game where you hit them with metal and flipped them. I used to have hundreds of pogs. There are probably like, 300 in that box alone. If you want some david clavens pogs, let me know. I don't think anyone still plays pogs, but shit, if they get really rare one day, I got that shit covered.

Image
Pokemon cards. Need I say more? The holy grail of all my childhood memorabilia. I spent probably $500 dollars on this shit. I loved it though. There are probably 500 cards in this box. I have the whole first set btw. Which is a big deal on any playground from the early 2000's. Step to my jolteon and I will drop electric energies like a thunderstorm. Pokemon cards are the shit and if you don't agree stop reading. (I'm open to trades. Looking for professor oak 1st edition. Willing to trade holographic raichu. <3)

Image
There it is baby. The super nintendo. Got it first christmas it came out when I was like 7 I think. Lots of good times were had on that little bugger. May charge it up one day and go at some donkey kong country.

Image
Proof that I love hacky. I can't bear to throw shoes out. Seen below: 2 brand new pairs of gunits, 1 really used pair, my first lavers, the lavers i won worlds in, the lavers i used all year at school, my new pair of white lavers, the lavers i play in right now, my climacools, one leather laver. (not pictured: my quantums, my blue lavers from the cleaver video).

Image
A shirt I found while I was searching through my closet. Score!

Image
US Open Medals. First place routines, First place Rippin Run, First Place Circle, 2nd Place Shred 30.

Image
One of my most prized possesions. My us open trophy that I carried back on a plane and everyone was like wtf why do you have a trophy and I explained to the airline stewardess and she was all like "oh wow!".

Image
A hat ashley made me for my birthday 2 years ago. I don't wear it a lot just because people don't know what it means, but I might rock it at worlds. It's really ill and I'm glad I have it. The medieval font just makes it. I should wear it more.

So that basically concludes my room, a place I don't even spend any time in really. I spend most of it outside or down here in my computer room. But I do like my room and you can tell it's kind of just an ongoing puzzle of my life. I still have a lot of stuff from when I was little and I can't really throw away things like my lavers or my medals or even stupid shit like my n64 (not pictured.) Idk.

I read an essay once about how messy people are better than organized people, because messy people have a bigger plan. I don't really think I do, but I know I know where all my shit is. A lot of times my mom gets really pissed and makes me clean it but it never really improves. I just like how it is.

My room isn't as cool as chans or andrews but I like it just the same. Makes me want to start collecting cool stuff to put in it, but there isn't much of a reason if I'm never in it to enjoy it. Like, that stereo hasn't played anything in a year. Go figure. But I do wear the clothes and use most of the shoes and stuff.

Anyway, thanks for looking. I hope you enjoyed this as much as I enjoyed looking at erik and andrews. Questions? go for it.

Are you seeing how many people open your blog for each post?

are you serious? that's the best you've got? Not even a "hey dude, cool room"?

dave, kick ass stuff in your room. it makes me feel like i did an incompolete job with mine, as there are tons of boxes i should have opened to show my childhood memories, my favorite pair of lavers, my current climas, and my prized possession (which i think will be added later once i do something with my walls. oh, by the way "hey dude, nice walls!").
the wax hand is slightly creepy. it would have been even creepier if it was flesh toned and not blue. and it would have been great as a haloween decoration.
i think it's pretty crazy that we both have drawings in our rooms that are made entirely out of dots! haha
I think i signed your shirt. i'm pretty sure i signed all of them, but i can't be sure. i think it's round back just below the neck, possibly with a maple leaf drawn in.
awesome to see where you reside. you should do this again when you go back to psu and set up your dorm. you should send out a pog with every clavens bag! just as an added bonus!

edit: i just noticed that your greece shirt has a british union jack on it instead of a greek flag. wtf? is that because prince philip is greek or is that just one royal fuck up? where did you get it???

Is there, like, a million?
Oh, the life of a superstar ;)

I wish I was cool enough to have played Pokemon. I love Pokemon (Brian Dennis is making me a PokeBall 32!!!). I played the original Red edition for original GameBoy really hardcore, but only ever managed to trade once, and it wasn't one that was exclusive to Blue :?

I also have that same Birthday Bashment tshirt signed by everyone. It was cool to see your pictures too. I think it's, like, the new hotness in footbloggage.

EDIT:

Moxie: Maybe trying to get to the next page so this sick post wouldnt be buried?

Thanks heaps for that Dave, I really enjoyed Erik and Andrews posts and now your bedroom tour too, i find it quite interesting. If i had more time i would do mine but it wont be as interesting.

Metroid was a sick game, i still have it buried round here somewhere! That Footjam shirt is sweet too... i wonder when they signed that cos i was at that event...sweet

Have you changed your bag template? More triangular hexes now?

Eric, Andrew, now you... it will be great if more ppl do it! Every room tells a story, something about ourselfs, so I consider posting these pictures in footblogs a good idea. I'll post something simillar in my blog as soon as I find time, I'm just afraid it will be boring... I moved to my present room few years ago and there's nothing from my childhood left. No wallpapers, no pogs... not even a mess! :(

Thanks David, I enjoyed it VERY much,

and I hope your ankle gets better soon!

She posted that before Clavens had posted his room write-up. All it said in the original post was "experiment" or something like that.

The fact that I know this prooves that I am on modified waaay too much. Especially for someone who isn't playing all that much right now...

Back off, budy. Eric's right, I posted that before he edited his second post in a row that just had "test" in it.

Oh man, I was "into" pogs for a while too when I was young. I was a little horrified to remember that about myself when I saw your picture.

You're winning.

So today I woke up at 12 cuz the past days I've worked at 10, 6:30, and 8:30. Which means I was waking up with the sun, something I don't like to do. I like to give the sun a few hours to warm up before I frolick beneath it. But I digress.

So I woke up at 12 today and since I didn't have to work I went down and made scrambled eggs, with 3 eggs cuz i was hungry. I put in way too much milk and it ended up being like eating egg cereal if you can imagine. Kind of lame. My neighbor called me and we were going to get my hair cut cuz it's frikken long as shit. See Figure A.

So I called the haircut place and they were closed so we decided we should still run some errands. So we went to blockbuster first because I had to return Man of the Year and Scrubs Season 1 episodes 1-9. So check. Man of the Year is a really good movie starring robin williams but it flopped at the box office. This is because (i found out after watching) because its like a weird hybrid of genres. Like its funny sometimes and a drama some other times. So I figure america was just like "wtf am i watching" and thats why it made no money and you probably didn't hear about it. Anyway, you might want to go watch it, but if it sucks I'm not in the business of giving you back your 2 hours. The other thing I returned were the first 9 episodes of scrubs, a show I love. I got the next 9 today. See, I've seen a few episodes on Comedy Central but they are all from like, way far into the show. If you like that show post, we can talk about it.

So then we went to the post office and I mailed a bag to Erik Chan, a few days late but whatever. Put some cool stuff in the envelope too. Glad he will have a bag of mine, hope he likes it. We shall see.

We then went to the mall and I was buying shorts in the Gap. Now I know your probably like "wtf david they have slave labor" and normally I am really like, about buying shit that isnt really bad in that aspect, but i had gift certificates. Anyway, I'm in the dressing room putting on some shorts that some kid in cambodia made for soup and the lights go off. and im like, wtf, i dont look THAT good. Anyway, the whole power in the mall went off cuz of construction and we had to get out there. So I didn't get the shorts anyway. and my neighbor was all like "should we hang around for the lights?" and i said no, because....

I had 40 bucks for old navy in gift certificates. Which probably isnt very people friendly either, but I needed some shorts for the summer. So anyway i walked out with some really nice stuff and i was happy because it didnt cost much at all. So thats good.

Oh yea, some chick at blockbuster called me sweetheart.

So we went to wegmans for dinner which is this supermarket that also makes subs and shit. it was really good. i had salt and vinegar chips and a chicken finger sub. Like you care.

I want to go to us open but its like 450 for tickets. Shit, I know im a pro hacky player but I'm not loaded smoaded.

Nothing else is new. My ankle hurts. I played yesterday with mike. Then we played frisbee in the rain. Frisbee was better than the hack. We made up frisbee catches and named them after people at work. (mike works where I work). You had to be there.

So tonight is basically scrubs on dvd followed by an early sleep for work tommorow at 9.

There is no figure A.

I love Scrubs. Everything about it. I've been watching it on Comedy Central for the last couple months and have now seen every episode 2-3 times. Can't get enough of it.

Sweetness man. For me, seeing a new episode of Scrubs is like Chirstmas... times ten. I still vividly remember my dream of Footbagging Scrubs characters at Worlds. Good times.
