Cod's life

Hello footbaggers!

I've decided to start blogging again. I'll try to write not only about footbag because I'd like to school my English. So...

Today it wasn't a good day. I had a small test on my English class and it wasn't easy. But I think I wrote it not bad :). Then I had bigger test. This one was for my Algebra class. It was extremaly hard. I think I'll get something like 5 points out of 50! :( In the evening I went to the UW gym to shred hard. Here I have to say that I have got a new pair of Lavers for few days. And I really suck in them :(. My old shoes was a lot lighter and nicer. I hate new Rod Lavers! So, it's not a big surprise I've got a terrible training today. My average string length was something like hmmmm... 4? WTF?! At the end of the shred I resolved on hitting something big because I didn't want to be in a bad mood. And I have hit a really nice 6>6 Toe 2 Toe link. It was Pixie Merlin > Pixie ss Merlin. I'll definately try some Beasts in few next shreds. Keep your fingers crossed.

Ok, it's 2 am and I have to go to bed. Any comments are welcome :).

Thanks. And no, it's not my first T2T Beastly link. I have hit Beta Rasmus > Pixie Merlin and Dorshatrix > Alpine Conniption City.

Today I had no shred. But it was a bit footbag related day, though :). I've stitched a new 32 panel Dorshbag for myself (finally!). I used a new technique of stitching and I think this new bag is great. I'll post some photos as soon as I charge batteries to my camera.

I was working about 4 hours today. I'm making websites for a cash. The site I'm just working on with my friend is almost finished. There will be an English version there soon. When we finish it I'll post a link.

It's Quantum Symposium Mirage.

No shred again today. I stitched 1/3 of some new 32-panel Dorshbag. Tomorrow I'll have a bigger test in the college again. I should learn and I even have learnt today a bit but not so much. I worked on the website I had written in the last post. It's almost finished.

Can't wait for some training!

what program do you use to create your website?
I've been browsing for some affordable programs that work well but I've had no luck.

Actually I'm only a programmer. I do all the XHTML, PHP, MySQL and JS stuff and my friend do all the graphic . I write in some random program I had googled. It's jus a text-editor but it colors the code. And my friend uses the newest Adobe Photoshop and Flash to do the graphics.

David, I realized that few years ago and it was a funny surprise :D. Now, a lot of people call me "Dorsz" as Kiper wrote. And the bags I stitch are called "Dorshbags". Blub, blub, hugs, blub.

Kiper, I have too weak flipside Merlin. Really tooo weak. From time to time I try to school it but it's imposible :(.

There was a weird day yesterday. Weird night, actually. But at first some non-weird stuff from my life. I had this bigger test in college I had written before. It was a bit harder than I had expected. On my English class I received my test from a "reported speech". I had a LOT of points :). I almost had the max ammount of points. I felt like a god of English :P. In the evening I went to Asia. Her sister had moved to England and Asia had got her flat here in Warsaw. So I helped Asia to move there yesterday. I'm so jelaous she doesn't live with parents from now . Her new flat is located in a city-centre and I can now go to her really fast by the underground. When I went back to my home in a late evening I thought I'd like to drink a beer with someone. I called few people and finally someone agreed the beer is a good idea ;). Actually, he was just with friends in some nightclub which was not so far from me. So I went there. A bouncer told me he wouldn't let me in becouse I wore short pants :?. So I went home and put in a long one :D. The bouncer said I was looking good and let me in :). The guy I was in the club with was Jagiel, my shredmate. We drank some beers and went to dance. It was awesome. In the early morning we decided to leave. On the stairs to the club some freaky drunked girl was shouting on some guy and poured a beer over him. Unfortunatelly, some of these beer she accidentaly poured over a girl who was a friend of Jagiel. That (I don't know exactly how) provoke a clash. In few seconds all the people from stairs was outside the club. Four or five guys was punching a friend of Jagiel - this Girl-from-stairs' boyfriend. And at least three chicks was punching this poor girl! That was terrible. In few seconds I cought this girl and tried to go as far from the club as I can. She was is a big shock I think. Then, two or three guys attacked me. Just because I was helping this girl :!:! I'm not a person who like to fight so I just was doing dodges and covering face and talking to them to stop this weird battle. Luckily, everything finished well. We (I, Jagiel and his friends) went away. The girl fainted for a while but then it was everything fine with her. She was just shocked because one of the people who had been punching her was a man, she said ! Unbeliveable! Her boyfriend had some scratches and bruises on a face but felt well. Jagiel had a tattered t-shirt. I had a little headache but luckily, my dodges and covers had been well enough. We went to the bus stop and everyone went home. Interesting, huh?

Boring day today. My brother woke me up by calling me and saying he had just had a Math exam in his college and I had to help him with some tasks. So, I counted for him three integrals. Then I just turned on the computer and did many useless stuff . The only fruitful thing I did was repairing my friend's website.

BTW, I started to work on my muscles. Today it was the 11th day of push-ups and (I don't know how to call it) exercises for my belly. Damn, that's hard but I can see some effects already. The training should last 42 days. My belly would be like a rock after it! :)

Interesting story, Cod.
I've never really been in a fight before, except when I was young. I think it must take guts to try to talk someone out of fighting while they are trying to hit you... I have no idea what I would do.

What exercises are you doing for your belly? I could use some of that. I was doing, like, leg raises for a while (like left and hold, kind of like a crunch), but I didn't really know what I was doing...someone told me that was more effective, or better for your back, or something... I want a rock hard belly after 42 days too! Well, mostly a flat stomach with definition would be nice. Playing footbag often has helped with that a little.

Erik, talking to them was terrible. I was telling them to stop and they just repeated "Come on, come on!". But I think trying to fight with them would be much worse.

About my exercises for belly. I googled a pretty nice training called "Aerobiczna szóstka Weidera". There are six exercises in it. Check this image:

Image

It's in Polish language but it's easy to understand how it should work.

You have a table on the left. The first column says which day we have. The second column says how many series should you do in this day. And the last column says how many times should you repeat every exercise in one serie.

On the right you have a description of the exercises. As you can see, in every one you raise a bit your back and head to tense your belly's muscles and after 3 seconds you lower it to the ground. It is important to do this movement using your belly and not your head or back. And now, differents between the exercises:

1. Every time you raise your body you have to raise one leg in the way you see on the picture. You have to keep your arms over your knees and don't touch them. When you do this with both legs you count "1". And you have to repeat it as many times as you have in the table. For example, in the first day you raise your body in this exercise 12 times.

2. Arms in the same position but you raise both legs. Ths time you count "1" on every raising, so in the first day you have to do it six times.

3. and 4. Everything the same as in 1. and 2. except the position of arms. You just have to have them on your neck.

5. Arms are still on your neck. You raise your body only once for the whole exercise. While raising your body you move your legs like in 1. but without stopping for 3 seconds and without putting legs on the ground. So it's a pretty fast exercise. In the first day you have to do this thing 6 times for every leg so it's 12 changes of legs in the exercise.

6. I think this one is pretty easy to understand form the image.

After you did whole six exercises you have one serie done.

I wish you luck with this because it's fucking hardcore for the belly :P.

PS. Here are pictures of the bag I stitched for myself and had written about before:

It was another boring day today. Well, not so boring as yesterday :). I went with my family to my grandma and there were a lot of sweets there :D. In the evening I finished the first bag from the serie which goes to Vienna (photos below). Also in the evening I went outside to shred with my brother Hubert who is coming back to our awesome sport after about 2,5 year break. He's got a real talent, I think. He hit for example Food Processor. We have to work on his style and combos because he has to many Toes in his runs. I was schooling my flipsdie DLO. After few tries I hit flipsdie DLO x 4 and ss DLO x 6. I hit also few times one drill that I had hit earlier only twice or so. It was ss DLO > DLO > rpt. After that I decided to try some Beastly links. I hit two new ones! Compound Fracture > Pixie Merlin and Railwalk > Anoxia! I'm pretty happy because they give me some new ways to hit a Beast. Just add Pixie ss Merlin in the end .

Ok, here are pictures of the newest Dorshbag:

Now I have to go to do my belly exercises and push-ups 8).
