Ah. Cool, then I can do it. Haven't worked on any Tapping or Atomic concepts much yet.
Kicked Friday, Saturday, Sunday. I guess I've got a lot to summarize so this post is gonna be long. Prepare yourself!
Friday was a 60618 session with Freddie and Tom. I worked on my combos mentioned in some post up yonder, hit all the following:

smear> ducking butterfly

smear> ducking clipper

ducking mirage> dimwalk

pdx. mirage> plo (should've worked on this both sides but forgot)
Felt pretty good to be like "I need to hit these combos" and then just bust them out that night. They weren't that hard, but ducking mirage> dimwalk is more challenging because I'm not that consistent with my ducking mirages. Hit all my two-dexes except flip DATW, (and I guess Phoenix, but I'm not counting that one yet). Bailing to butterfly after those two-dexes was pretty easy... its all mental, as long as the set is OK.
Also had two four-contact guiltless strings: butterfly> pdx mirage> plo> butterfly; plo> plo> butterfly> butterfly. Those are my longest guiltless strings yet.
There was a movie being shown in the park, and a PA system was pumping a bunch of hits from early 90s rock radio. Nothing too atrocious, but a lot of songs I've heard a few thousand times too many. Still, its nice to kick to music. Freddie got his video camera out and we all took turns
trying to bust big on camera. I was less successful than Tom or Fred. I tried Backside Smear a bunch but it hurt my leg. Tried some other shit but nothing too spectacular. Did hit PS Mirage with a weird seal (didn't come off my foot) and it probably looked like shit. Also walked like a robot.
Freddie hit a new five on camera - pixie ducking osis. Tom hit spinning paradox whirl (I think?). Meanwhile a bunch of skaters showed up and were skating around behind us while we kicked. I'm looking forward to seeing that footage.
And then Saturday was crazy. I was awakened at about 11 by my phone ringing, it was a friend of mine who wanted to know if I'd help her move. She was moving out of a third-floor walk-up (when I sprained my ankle I hopped all the way up those stairs, which sucked a lot more than this would). So anyway, I helped her get about 3/4 moved out and then another dude showed up so I decided to head to Taste to kick. But first I ate at Flash Taco. Mmm-mmm.
On my way to Taste I was standing up against the doors on the Blue Line, because it was so crowded. Maybe I was leaning against them too much or just bumped into them, because the doors opened behind me while the train was moving. Everybody else noticed before I did - before I knew what was happening a bunch of people grabbed on to my left arm to pull me away from the door. I held on to the railing with my other hand, which basically held this woman (with a baby in her arms) in place, and I tried to kick the door shut (didn't work).
I tried to get loose of the people so I could get the doors closed, but they were pulling me away from the doors... I was like "this isn't an airplane, I'm not gonna get sucked out!" But you know thankfully nobody was hurt, it could have been pretty horrible, but everybody was fine. Looking back, I'm really grateful all those people grabbed me (and the other folks near the doors), and wish I could find some way to show my gratitude. Sky-writing, perhaps?
So after possibly nearly dying (I do it all the time), I got to Taste, and hacked with Zeke and some good kickers: two high-schoolish-aged kids who could toe-stall & flying clipper, then another guy who could atw & pendulum. After a while the atw/pendulum guy was like "do you know the Inner Circle?"

He had talked to Tom via MySpace or something like that, so that's how he knew.
After about an hour of hacking, I had to head out, cause
Zeke's Reile & I were going to the Violent Femmes. They were great. Totally worth waiting through the godawful opener. Dave Tamlin or something like that... if there was a vomiting smiley, I'd use that right now. The Femmes played a few songs I recognized to begin with, then a bunch of stuff from their newer albums that I didn't recognize, then closed with a bunch of stuff from their first CD, which was pretty terrific.
I'm really happy with all the concerts I've been to lately: TV on the Radio, MC Front-a-Lot, Heiruspecs, Bjork, Superchunk, Violent Femmes... maybe I'm forgetting something? And, Pitchfork and Aesop Rock are still coming up. And Cracker's playing at Taste so I'll probably catch them for free. Oh yeah.
And, finally, I was at Taste yesterday for about six hours - played maybe three hours in a hack circle, which wasn't that bad, just really big at times. And of course my friend Churney was there, pissing me off. Somebody said something like "this guy's a pro" (referring to me) and Churney was all "no, he's an amateur. The pros are way better than he is." Technically true, you dick. Then I kicked somebody in the chest, one of the hackers I've kicked with at the fests for the past three years - think his name is Giovanni - felt pretty bad about that. Wish I could've kicked Churney instead. Then I would've felt great.
Meinard & Freddie & Freestyled after that, guess I played OK. Just couldn't get flip Terrage for some reason, like I forgot how to do it. Oh well, my legs were pretty tired by then anyway. Other than that I played OK, had a 16 contact tiltless string towards the end of the session. Freestlyed for a little under two hours I think. My legs aren't that sore today, more like 'fatigued'. Still planning on kicking after work in the 60618, though. Now I gotta do some work.
