that was an awesome shred. jon's pdx blender was solid! derrik hit some really nice genuine strings. derrik's shred inspires me to play harder. we had a good 'one touch, no pass, get angry' circle going for about 20 minutes or so. really makes you focus on hitting things properly.
hit 30 contact guiltless ( lots of repeats )
pheonix -> pdx blender
drifter -> blender -> string
ducking, diving, zulu & weaving clips bsos
daily shred! see you down there @ 5.30.

hit up a solo session @ market square with a new soundtrack, common market & blue scholars with some dj champion.
yeh strings! hit all kinds of stuff, ended nearly every string with a handcatch. paced myself with one good string per track, and tried to stay in rhythm with the music. mostly guiltless with a few tilts. illusions & pickups need cleaning up before i can do them smoothly in 3s & 4s.
spent 20 minutes last night & this morning dexing my legs both ways around a small cardboard box while sitting at my comp.
money is tight but i will try for wakahakee! when are you coming to kingston, tom?

took a break yesterday after playing 5 days straight. a lil r & r goes a long way. however, a line from 'ping pong' comes to mind...
'one day off means three days to get your speed back.'
also, something i remember lon saying on the boards once, which i hold in high regard, is that playing for an hour a day every day is much better than playing for 4 hours every few days.
makes sense for muscle memory & conditioning, as well as unbroken legs.
my sister & nephew are coming into town tomorrow to check out some footbag. i thought i'd take the opportunity to try putting together a mini demonstration. i'll work on it some more this eve, and try to get a camera for tomorrow.
stretch stretch stretch
play play play
adios, amoebas.

derrick & jon are hitting up wakahakee today.
have fun, everyone! should be amazing.
yesterday's session was definitely moir-inspired. the way he keeps his dexing hip loose for same side components makes a lot of sense, and makes me consider where my weight needs to be placed for any given component.
i hit the best string i've ever had yesterday. derrick & jon were playing well. as a farewell as i was leaving the session, jon footed whirr!
derrick's tip about using a square tile to judge proper foot placement for tricks has also helped immensely. ensuring that my feet shift at clean 90 degree intervals for things like b2b drifters, for example.
note to self: school barrage, dlo, pdx illusion...any clip to foot transfer that isn't pdx mirage.
i can't wait to shed the rest of this injury-induced weight & see how far i can push this crazy game before 30.

it was queens club day, and very unfortunate that we are not a club! but we represented anyways @ biosci. both john & i had a good session, and did mostly one touch to keep up the show for the people.
px clip > zulu clip > blender > drifter
px ss mir > fairy butter > ripwalk > ... > torque > blur > px clip > blender
tried to hit all the ducking moves at the end but was exhausted and kept laughing halfway through the string trying to remember a mirror.
now that i can think properly i need to hit
weav clip > div clip > zulu clip > duck clip > duck clip > zulu clip > div clip > weav clip

derrick's knee has been bothering him, haven't seen him out the past few sessions. hope he heals well & soon!
i liked the pacing of last night's session.
stretching - 10 min
warm up - 10 min
-> around the world - kicks
-> around the world - tiltless
one touch - 15 min
tricks / combos - 25 min
one touch - 15 min
bike home / stretch - 20 min
playing around the world with 2 or 3 people would make a good addition to presenting the game to others.
fairy butter bsos.
fairy diving whirl footed.
zulu walkover -> blender bsos.
torque, blender, drifter & dlo in string.

hey yeah actually we've met. I was that guy who played with you and ogden at wakahakee on the second day for a little bit. So I'll be coming in to kingston real late on friday but some time on saturday for a couple hours might be perfect. Before all the commotion starts, I suppose. I'll PM you my contact and stuff, alright? I just talked to Mosher. He hopes he can make it. Hopefully.

hmmmm.......?
I met a bunch of people I don't remember. I think I've got an idea of who you are though.
I'm going to try and get Jake (old KFM rep) to come and kick with us too.
That'll be: Pat, Derrick, Greg, Tom, Stefan, Jake, and me. 7, wow!!
