My name is Blake. Quick history: I was a "hackey sacker" for like 5 or 6 years on and off before I found footbag; I could do toe stalls and all kinds of head and back stalls, but that was it. I started to find footbag videos online when I got to college and it took off from there. Unfortunately, I didn't find anyone to kick with until just recently, so I never got very good because of the lack of motivation, pointers, good examples... So I figure I've been in the novice range for the last 2 years or so.
But now I'm gettin out for sessions with Conrad and Josh (whenever he can make it
Sessioned wtih Conrad a couple days ago and hit like 3 or 4 new moves.
First it was just the blurry followed a little later (after many failed attempts) by ripwalk, almost bs, but not quite.
Next thing was a pdx mirage followed closely by butterfly>pdx mirage.
I didn't really hit any long strings or anything, I was really just trying to get some up time elements down to add some spice to my game as it were. I worked on pixie and realized that I can hit it way better barefoot than I can with Lavers; the toe box was getting in the way, I gotta get used to that.
We are going to session again soon, we'll see how it goes!
