Simpsons quote game

Post by The Actual Sized E »

With all the Simpsons fans on the forum, we might as well have a quote game. The rules are simple: Someone starts out by posting a line or two from and episode and then indicates the next missing line. The first person to correctly answer it gets to post the next quote. You are allowed to look up episode transcripts when posting a quote to make sure you get it right, but not to find an answer, that must be to the best of your memory. Also when you post an answer, have a new quote to post in mind, so if you're right you can post it right away.

I'll start it off. I was thinking of this a couple days ago, and had a pretty good quote in mind, but since then I've been officially dubbed an honorary Asian so I'm changing it to one that I can finally laugh at with confidence next to my fellow yellow* brothers 8) .

Homer: I'm so bored!
Abe: Oh, come on, there's lots of ways to pass the time. Hitch up your pants, air whittle, make friends with a Chinese man.
[an Asian man enters the room]
Asian man: Um, Mr. Simpson, you weren't supposed to leave the home.
Abe: Thank you Ping-Pong!
Asian man: ??
Abe: ??

edit: *And by yellow of course I mean Simpsons yellow

Asian man: Um, my name is Craig.
Abe: Suuure it is.

When I think of a good one, I'll post it.

Yeah, you have to wait to answer one correctly to be able to ask your own, otherwise it'll get way too unorganized with everyone shooting out quotes.

I checked the transcript and Shredzilla got mine correct right down to the number of u's in the word "Suuure."

Ok, new rule: You must post a new quote with your answer. It just slows down the game way to much otherwise, and other people want to play.

Come on Chris, we waitin....

Hey sorry, I was just busy when I posted. I actually forgot about it after that. D'oh! haha. Okay here's one...

Marge : Homer, didn't John seem a little ... festive to you?
Homer : Couldn't agree more. Happy as a clam.
Marge : ??
Homer ??

So, what do you do if you think you know the answer but aren't sure? Like, if I answered incorrectly & just went ahead and posted a new quote, would that ruin everything?

By everything of course I mean the universe.

I'm not sure. I want people to be able to shoot out what they remember regardless of whether it's spot on or not, but I think it'll make the game really hectic to have 3 or four quote started at once by everyone guessing. What do you guys think, should we be able to check our answers before posting them? Or should we just post answers but no new quotes and wait until the person who posted the quote that we finished comes back on and says we're correct?

Yeah, I'd say check the answers first, that makes sense.

Alright, I was right... didn't know if the quote I was thinking of came immediately after Chris's quote or a few lines down:

Marge: He prefers the company of men
Homer: Who doesn't?

Here we go:

Lisa: C/Dos... C/Dos/Run... Run/Dos/Run. Only one a million people would find that funny!
Professor Frink: ???????

Unfortunately for Moleman that's absolutely correct, no one will ever be gay for Moleman :(
