Dave is starting to sound eerily like me, except without the harsh overtones:

You ever write a reply, and then before you hit submit decide it's not worth it and erase it?

Playing a lot of footbag is a good thing. I don't really care about posts and volume of them.

Is it because you realize you hadn't played the required time that day? :)

I do the same thing.

It's because I think I have something important to add to the conversation, but when it's actually on the screen I realize it wasn't as good/important/beneficial as I had originally thought.

So, I don't post it.

No, I don't play soccer. Yes, there are competitions. 4 years. Lots of practice.

There's good/important/beneficial threads on modified?

The only one I can think of is "New Moves"...

How about a topic where people can post the number of hours they've spent playing footbag?

This is how I think this could look like:

Name: ___________
Date: ___________
Number of hours played:_________

By the end of a week (/month/ year) the total number of hours spent playing footbag will be totaled.

without saying to much - i do think maybe thats the problem, don't take this wrong, you're one of the fewer people here who really contribute, and i'm sure many, like myself, appreciate that. but when something on an internet forum HURTS you, maybe you yourself should take a break from your computer.i guess this can be understood in a negative or derogative way, it isn't meant so. but way more than a thousand posts? gimme a break. or rather, give yourself that break.

if modified is full of shit posts, don't read 'em, read the ones that have an interesting title, or somebody interesting who posted in the thread and fuck the rest. there is better things to do.

i can make 5 posts in 10 minutes some days easily. to many people that seems like a lot. especially to those who post 1 or no times per day. i play my fair share of footbag. unfortunatly i cant play the days im at my dads, ever other weekend and 2 nights a week. and two days out of the week i stay at my girlfriends house. so that leaves about 3 days a week to shred. i can only do so many hours. especially because i also do a sport that takes up a lot of time. but i can always access a computer, which means i can always post.

I meant hurt in a physical sense. How does an internet forum hurt someone?

And it doesn't matter if you have 10 posts or 1000. If each post contains solid information that you feel contributes, post.

What's wrong with bullsh*tting with people? That's the reason I like this forum so much.

Indeed, Kevin, indeed.

I don't see what the problem is with a high post count - it's not like I (who post wayyyy too much) check the high poster thing every day or something (I did right before I made this post though, I think I'm at 10). I also play quite a bit of footbag though.

Do you think if people posted less on modified it would be better?

Yeah, probably; there'd be less useless stuff on the forum I'd think

I don't know about the rest of y'all, but I can't tell if they're all bullshit until I've read them.

If I'm able to play then, believe me, I would much rather be kicking than sitting in front of a computer. Right now I'm able to play once a week for 3-4 hours. Unfortunately, the rest of the week you (edit:Modified) may be subject to my cryptic nonsense.

yeah, i really had to laugh out loud as well after daves response. though i do have to ask: wasn't that the more obvious interpretation? in that context i find "injured" the more obvious word than hurt - i think the same thing would have happened to me in german. (considering similar translations). so maybe i'm just stupid, ha! or yeah, it's my english...

i don't wanna know whether they're bull, i just assume they are, that's the point. i rather risk skipping 50% of the good stuff, for avoiding 500% of crap. and i still spend way too much time here.

anyhow. posting less is gold, but wtf am i talking about? i'm doing a bullshit post myself just now.
