Sounds like dada curve, since pdx moves should be plantless.
There was a bunch of confusion over this a while back -- kind of like how dimwalk used to be what is now tripwalk and misrepresentation changed that -- but I've heard downtime ripwalk called "jaywalk" (I've always heard it used for a pulled move... maybe a slurry ripwalk? And some other things too I'm sure...) So if jaywalk is an acceptable term, then with plants it could also be a pdx jaywalk.

If it was with plants than wouldn't it be a Quasi Butterfly? (Hope Quasi is what i think it is) But that just sounds weird. Pdx downtime ripwalk... I'm gonna try that my next session. But yeah, I think DaDa Curves are hard to make really clean, and hit in general. I just like slur the second dex like crazy. But anyway, yeah.

You shouldn't be worrying about big tricks anyway! You should be working on getting what you can hit, bs, and very consistent. Then you can start working on your runs, which suck! So yeah, go back to tiltless and work tiltless runs till you can't stand anymore after a run.

Quasi is uptime.
Like stepping and quantum <--- note all three of these are "miraging" sets.
To say "miraging" generally implies downtime/midtime. For example, torque is miraging osis. Stepping far osis is crispy torque, or torque with an uptime dex replacing the downtime/midtime dex.
Here's a video of a a mid-timeish ripwalk out of a half spin: http://www.footbag.org/gallery/show/-7350
It basically is just a dada curve with a plant, but that makes it a different move (and it also makes it easier to make clean).

Thanks for the help guys. I was thinking about this move at work today and thought that I would try it for fun, but had no clue of the move was called. Came pretty close too, but my feet got a little tangled.
And why does it always seem like someone on Modi has to put someone down? This place is pretty lame sometimes.
I drill alot and do all of my tiltless every session for like an hour or more and always do productive combo drills.
People learn as they want to learn. I know what I need to do personally, to get where "I" want to be.

Because if you are trying to get good you should hit long runs.BenRea wrote:im not sure why people say this.zeroman13 wrote:You shouldn't be worrying about big tricks anyway! I agree that big tricks are fun and i try them all the time, but it definitely doesn't help my game much.
It's not like you learn new tricks without trying them, but sure, if you want to get good (generally, not pointing out anybody) you should work towards more control and length of your runs. I just don't believe in doing, say 100 repeats of one move a day.Nathan wrote:Because if you are trying to get good you should hit long runs.BenRea wrote:im not sure why people say this.zeroman13 wrote:You shouldn't be worrying about big tricks anyway! Sure, and lets look at the evidence;Kimbe. wrote:

Vasek; Spent hours hitting repeats of the same moves each day. Best player in the world.
Kimbe; Doesn't believe in hitting 100 repeats of one move in a day. Not the best player in the world.
Of course you're entitled to believe whatever you want, it just seems fairly obvious to me that almost all the really good players in the world spent a lot of time specifically working on getting good at single tricks and components, as a significant part of their training regime. Opinions aren't meaningful if you can't back them up with evidence.
