Ah!
So today I got back one of my international postcards! It doesn't say "address doesn't exist", or "recipient moved" or anything! I made sure to clearly specify the addressy's address from my own; I wrote "TO: NAME" and "FROM: ME", but it seems that silly Canada Post has messed up yet again and sent me my own postcard! Also... it took them like... 3 weeks to get it back to me? Ha.
So... I'm sorry to someone outside of North America who hasn't received theirs yet... I suppose that I must send a new one now.
Yeah I wasn't complaining about modified. I was complaining about people who criticise things without making any effort to help make them work. Saying; "this was so lame" doesn't encourage people to participate or send the cards they missed. It's just a negative comment with no positive outcome, and no attempt from the person complaining to actually change the situation - just relying on the people prepared to actually do work to do it.
Anyway I had an idea for a change to the format, that might work a little better. Every month 1 person is nominated (randomly by me), and everybody send that one person cards. That way they are guaranteed to get at least 1 card (from me), and people can join or leave at any time without it meaning lots of people don't get cards. Of course it would also mean that you don't get postcards very often, and then all at once. Of course it would work a lot better if we shortened the time frame, but I'm not confident people would be able to manage more than 1 postcard per month.
