as you can see, I have removed the first eyelet on both sides. I have also taken a razor blade and removed the outer layer of fabric to increase flexibility, sensitivity, and grippiness (all of these have been MARGINALLY increased, which is to say, this mod hardly makes difference, and I recommend you be careful if you're going to try it at all so you don't put a hole in your shoe).
The only other difference between these and a stock laver is the lacing. The exactly lacing for this style of modding doesn't matter exactly, as long as it pulls what's left of the walls way back, so they just function as a back stop, not a side wall.

Everyone, his point of reference for what is a nice stally bag is a Mr Sandman. Just be aware of that as you're giving him advice.
I've played with plenty of fearless 55s. it's not going to be as stally as Mr for a LONG time, and when it IS as stally as a Mr, it will probably be past its' prime.
It will benefit you a lot more to use it the way it is, not to smash it until it's as soft as a Mr Sandman.
It will be a lot more usable once you've got your lavers, you will see. be patient and use it as it is. Sounds like you've done enough extra break-in. Your feet will do the rest. I promise.
I have been washing it after every session, and kicking it a lot, also ive been hand breaking it in, in my spare time.
