I want to see chicago style throw down video! how do I see it?

kicked last night. 20 staples routine. ouch is that tiring. it's basically an entire practice of stuff that's doable, but not owned. so every portion of my practice takes tons of effort. I've been sore every day after one of these practices, and I almost never get sore. Stuff is improving. I told my self I'd go through the entire list 5 times before figuring out how i want to practice next.
decided to skip pushups/situps etc. until after the holidays. i'm so wiped out and winter blues are upon me. so cutting myself some freaking slack is ok once in awhile.
my son keegan has his first ever christmas show tonight. he's 3 years old, and he goes to preschool 2 hours a day, 3 days per week. so the preschool does a christmas show and keegan sings a song in it. so cute.
keegan is also "pooping in the potty" as we like to call it at the riefer household. and boy is that good fucking news.

facebook is amazing.
keegan's christmas show was awesome. he was so clueless. he didn't pick his nose. he sang his little heart out. priceless.
just counting the minutes until christmas vacation.. 11 days off... oh yeah.
debating whether to kick tonight or not. i'm really exhausted. but sometimes kicking can energize.

pretty good weekend overall. friday night, i was too tired to kick, but had a nice time just hanging with the wifey and kids etc.
saturday, had a session working on the 20 staples some more. they're all improving, so that's cool.
sunday, kicked with drew. he's getting better at a fast pace, you can tell he's been putting the time in. he takes coaching well too. i played well - last time I played with him, and when I played with Caleb recently, I really kind of sucked. which was weird because I'd just recently been posting that my shred was great.. good string length, good difficulty etc. And then I sucked 2 sessions in a row out of nowhere. Anyhow, back to normal now, and I shredded really well. long strings jammed with good links (good for me at least). low bops, decent both sidedness. the work I've been doing on the 20 staples helps my game already.
then, went and got case of beer. they had a mix case of 24 different beers. i couldn't pass it up. It has everything you can imagine in the case. my wife and I are writing beer reviews for each beer in the case so that we will have gained sometihng (besides calories) from drinking this case.
I'm ready to get back onto major health kick again shortly. holidays have derailed some of my progress. I won't get on the scale right now, but I'm sure I'm up 5-10 pounds. and just feeling kind of pudgy. wife is a little soft right now too. so we're going to do the next year's worth of our plan together this time. individual goals and plans, but in a friendly contest with each other. I'll kick her butt I think.

but in the end we'll both be healthier.
45 days without smoking
3 day work week this week. basically a waste. then 11 days off. plan to play a lot of footbag, play some hoops, take the kids to indoor pool, go to longwood gardens, go to the 'please touch' museum in Philly, see a bunch of friends, sleep too much, drink too much, and get ready to get really skinny immediately after the 11 days is over.

God I'm bored. I'm always bored at this job, but it's way worse than usual because our industry basically shuts down for Christmas. So there's NOTHING to do really. And my momentary fascination with facebook seems to be over. And I've surfed to the end of the internet and back already. Ho hum. The agony of awaiting our year end bonus is rough right now too. For me, this year, the bonus makes the difference between continuing to do fine, and launching the next phase of economic lifetime growth. If bonus is one amount, ehhhhhhh. If it's a bit more, my strategic plan for 2009 and beyond is far different (yes... I do an annual strategic plan for our finances and personal goals). So yeah, we'll see.
btw, I got the greatest ever case of beer the other day. (edit: ha ha, I didn't realize I told you about this already... oh well, this is a better description of the wonderous case of beer) Seriously, it's unbeatable. Basically, the owner of my local beer store put together a case of 24 different good beers. I don't think it's even really legal for him to have done it, but there was no one else in the store, so he hooked me up quietly. There are so many excellent beers that I already love in this case, and all the rest are beers that I've wanted to try. Very exciting. It would take me years to try that many beers (in PA, you can only buy full cases.. cannot buy single beers or six packs like in other areas). So, to take full advantage, we have been writing beer reviews each time we open a new beer. This way, we'll be able to determine which ones we might want to buy again in the future. So far, there's Rogue Dead Guy Ale, and a outmeal stout (can't remember name right now) that we both really loved. Very cool.
Really looking forward to the next wave of our health kick.
Also, really looking forward to the barn project. As I've said before, if you let your mind chew on a difficult topic for awhile, it magically figures things out. So the plan is getting really good now. Also, I'm a big believer that more than 50% of the effort of any well done job is the preparation that is done before the job even starts. Over my vacation, I'll be doing a lot of planning (materials planning, outline of steps, approximation of time expenditure etc.).
