I wear airwalks at the moment, these are my "inbetweener" trainers so to speak, and despite having seen several shoes in shoe shops that just-might-do I have so far not succumbed to buying a £15 possibly-good-enough pair. I think my advice to anyone umming and ahhing over wether they should be spending that much would be that if youve got £15 for an alternative might-do pair, save it, lock it in a box, throw away the key and wait til you can get the right pair.
My school of thought is that if somethings worth doing, its worth doing properly. Im like you, finding £40+ or whatever plus for a pair of trainers is, to me, a lot of money, when I take into consideration the general cost of life/kids/significant other.
At the same time tho footbag is something i want to take seriously, its something i want to progress in. Im not after being a world beater, just good enough that once in a while i can make my friends jaws drop would do fine
