Im still gonna buy lavers....

I wear airwalks at the moment, these are my "inbetweener" trainers so to speak, and despite having seen several shoes in shoe shops that just-might-do I have so far not succumbed to buying a £15 possibly-good-enough pair. I think my advice to anyone umming and ahhing over wether they should be spending that much would be that if youve got £15 for an alternative might-do pair, save it, lock it in a box, throw away the key and wait til you can get the right pair.

My school of thought is that if somethings worth doing, its worth doing properly. Im like you, finding £40+ or whatever plus for a pair of trainers is, to me, a lot of money, when I take into consideration the general cost of life/kids/significant other.

At the same time tho footbag is something i want to take seriously, its something i want to progress in. Im not after being a world beater, just good enough that once in a while i can make my friends jaws drop would do fine :D I would like to be able to attend a few events, and maybe have a go at competing, and all the advice on ths forum that points towards that route generally starts with the words "get lavers ( and a handstiched sack)" so thats the route imma follow!

if i may be the first then :D Its a skate shoe, its likely to be rather weighty and padded out much like my current pair. The padded tongue, also something i have on my Airwalks, is a pain in the arse too. Once its on my foot and laced up i find that it constricts my ankle movement.

I have no doubt there would also be a good "in-betweener" pair, or even suitable for those who just want to kick with friends, but ive never played in lavers and Im still able to see whats wrong with these.

[EDIT] On a side note : Was in a local shop yesterday, found a pair of addidas classic tennis shoes, not rod laver, but a more cut-back basic version of the laver shape. The weight difference has given me a clue as to why I perhaps cant dex anything just yet.
