Anyone else a player?
I just started a new campaign of AD&D last night, it's turning out to be pretty good so far.
I don't play none of this 3rd ed or 3.5 shit, 2nd edition is by far the pinnacle of the game.

My friends and I played Seventh Sea senior year. It's sorta like D&D but focuses more on social situations and relations than combat. I really hope we can play it again this summer.
How many people do you play AD&D with? What type of stuff do you usually do, quest-wise?

Ahh,
Haven't played in years and years, and really I hardly miss it at all, but yeah, I was pretty into it. I can still calculate the To Hit and Damage bonuses for a Hammer of Thunderbolts used in conjunction with full Gauntlets of Ogre Power and Girdle of Storm Giant Strength benefits.
And first edition kicked 2nd's ass. That Monsterous Compendium thing, the three-ring binder with all the info on loose-leaf paper, that thing sucked. Monster Manual 1 & 2 (plus the good old Fiend Folio) were much cooler. And besides, they got all politically correct and changed all the Demons and Devils into unspecific inoffensive non-religious extra-dimensional beings. What a lot of BS.

My friend and fellow hacky sacker here in the Toronto area, Mike Faille, freelances for Wizards of the Coast, and had 70-ish illustrations in one of the recent monster guides. http://www.mikefaille.com
