Sure, I don't care who checks out my footblog.
For you Pink Floyd fans, I know I'm late to the party, but I'm really enjoying this song:

In non-footbag news (duh) I did my bi-monthly system backup and spent a solid two hours going through pictures I had taken this summer. Man, those were good memories. I'm glad I kept them, and I think I will share some of my favorites with you guys. I might add a blurb underneath each one to give them some context. First up, lets give it up for Ryan Thomas!

If you watched my Riverrock video, you would have recognized the venue. Nick drove me down to Virginia to an awesome footbag jam hosted by Ryan. It was a fantastic atmosphere, and I had a lot of fun shredding, filming, and checking out all of the activities going on around us. While the turnout was sweet and I got to catch up with a few people who hadn't made it down to PSU Jamps, more people need to go to this next year.

This picture is why I'm probably never going to be let onto a net court with a camera in the future. This was Riverrock as well, before we went to the main site. As a side note, Dan Greer (not pictured) is a monster at Net, and can still rip it up in freestyle.

Skipping around, this is a picture from the end of the school year where Ryan M, Joe and I went to Hunter Rocks for some bouldering. My back wasn't feeling too great so I took it easy, but still managed to get to the top of that rock. One day I will come back and spend some quality time climbing. It's such a beautiful area.

A State College sunset at an overlook. When I was taking this, I assumed this was going to be it for me and State College till the school year began. Boy how things change. I love sunsets, and I really want to get back into filming timelapses when I get back to walking on two legs. I've even made a timelapse dolly and custom controller so it would be nice to try those out.

Yes, I'm on a horse. This was one of the bright spots in an otherwise dark time for me. I was able to forget about everything and just concentrate on not falling off. Huge thanks to Kat for letting me ride Sunset and trying to teach me things. I really miss riding, even though I have only done it a few times. Here's hoping that this wasn't the last time I rode a horse.

A week before my injury, I was finally able to convince my family to drive an hour and a half to hike up Glen Onoko Falls. The place used to be a resort serviced by a railroad until a fire destroyed one of the main bridges and the place fell into disrepair during WW1. It is a beautiful bit of nature tucked away in the Lehigh Valley with a really fun trail leading through the glen.

Inside that old tunnel from the previous photo we found a multitude of barn swallows nesting in the crevices. It was pretty dark so it was hard to get a good picture, even with my 1.7 lens. For a moment, I imagined I was Ken Shults - However, I still have a way to go.

The trail leading along the stream was fairly well kept. Despite this, it proved to be quite the challenge as it was often wet and rather steep. A few people die here every year - mostly due to inexperience and poor equipment (shoes). The key thing here was "don't climb up anything you can't go down later".

The reward for making it through the tough parts of the trail was this sweet wall of rock and water. Even though the trail goes up a fairly reasonable slope to the right, I decided that it would be more fun to scale the wall to the left of the waterfall in the photo. I left my bag and camera on the ground, asking one of the people to watch my stuff. My parents had stopped a mile down the trail so they had no idea what i was doing, and that's probably a good thing. Regardless, I made it up the wall without any mishaps, and the view from the top was spectacular. After a short rest, I took the trail back down to my stuff (and ended up slipping a bit and scratching up my shin... serves me right for getting cocky). We hiked for about 12 miles that day and then grabbed some food at a local restaurant in Jim Thorpe.
Anyway, that was a fun post. I hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed reliving those memories. Keep kicking footbags. Stay classy Modified.
