Good stuff, jealous of your Pdx Eggs. They get really hard from Butterfly instead of Clipper.

I double what Ken's told you. I want to see some Pixie/Atomic DSO.
Now that I think about it, I've never seen Atomic DSO, but since your favourite Atomic trick seems to be Atom Lego, it should be waiting along the path of your progression.

I've said it once and I'll say it again, your hand movement reminds me of Clavens. :)

Daniel: I wish I could afford to so some more travels, but Denmark is all I have in store for this venture. How about yourself, exploring the Europa much?

Cass: 69 tends to end too soon.

Kyle: Glad ya dig it, Hoagie requested that one. Can't wait to be all maniacally muted out, that's funny cause that's my favorite drill to work on Clipper. 'Twas my favorite run of the session, and it actually went on much longer than that, a lot more stalls and chit chat.

Vojta: All about 'dem Eggs  Doing tricks out of Butter isn't that rough, but doing the actual Butterfly is, very much so. Hit that drill all the way through with Butterfly once, and with Pixie muted Clipper, was one contact away. Pretty strict at the moment at not ADD hunting, there is a Worlds to train for. Won't feel comfortable doing DSO out of a set till I can hit DSO *10(DSO *6 is my PR), though, I think Atomic DSO will be easier than Pixie DSO. Symple DSO is also something I've been working towards. I'll take it :)

Fizzied Day

Went to Stanford for some chills and bag shreddin', and did some proper ragin' afterwards. Good times. Been having some crazy highlights, but those are private 8) I will share my current training regiment, though. This is something I do every solo session, these days, in this order. There are variations, and extended versions, but those are private, as well.

Warm-up:
-Kicky-kicks till drop or a song has passed
-50 op Insides >50 op Toes >100 Toe bumps >Hand Catch (Drops occur around 40 toe bumps, from time-to-time)
-20-30 op Clippers (At least 18 to move on)
-10-15 ss Clippers BS
-Tri-Force (minimum 3, 4-5 is average, 6 is PR)
-Tiltless Everything (to move on, 100 contacts, or 2-3 50+ runs)

It Begins:
-Ducking op Clippers (old min. was 4, thinking 6, now)
-Infinity (min. 4)
-Toe op Butter >P. Mirage repeat (*3 min)
-Pixie muted Clipper >P. Illusion repeat (*2 min, though 3 is more likely)
-near DLO > op Clipper >P. DLO >op Clipper repeat >near Bubbabeats >op Clipper >P. Egg >op Clipper repeat (First, try with Butters, then with Pixie muted Clipper, and if all else fails, then just basic Clipper)
-Double Orbit > Legover repeat *5 minimum
-Consecutive Double Orbits BS
-DSO >Orbit repeat *3 minimum
-Consecutive DSOs *4 min.
-DSO >Double Orbit repeat
-Consecutive Tappy Legs (*10 is PR)
-Atomic Leg >Atomic ss Leg repeat
-Tap >Atomic ss Pick-up repeat
-Atomic Pick-up BSOS
-Atomic ss Illusion BSOS
-Atomsmasher *4 min.
-Omelet *2 min.
-Pixie everything
-DLO war >Egg war
-Smog >Pig >Pig >Smog BS or Pig >Smog >Smog >Pig BS
-Alpine PLO *2 min.

The things I've hit. Oh, man.

RASMUS

Felt like filming today, was just going to go over drills and see how my form and what not was, then I started to catch fire. There were a bunch of people at the park, mainly young children, so I had to repress my celebrations a little bit. Most of these only took a maximum of 5 tries. The near/paradox drill with Butters was first try, got so excited on the last Butter that I forgot there was still a P Egg to do. Rasmus only took 4 tries, though I hunted the flip for a while. Flip Tapping Legover(Atomic ss DLO) took 3 tries, but then hit strong in the same string first try. Same goes for Atomic ss Egg. No more filming till Cassy gets here, only 8 more days, eh?

Think the drilling is paying off, I want to be half decent by Worlds

You seem to be pushing the Jindra 2013 style, I really like that. Tapping Egg is good stuff

As a reward, here's a motivation to get those DSOs next time:

Colored Comets Colliding

Just dropped off Cass at the airport, what a glorious almost 2 weeks it has been. I had boasted about how warm it had been, and of course, when she gets here, it's the coolest it's been since March, and never got above 80. She flew in a couple Thursdays ago to Sac, which I am about 15 minutes away from. After doing some catching up, she got all bunkered in, and we walked and chilled till she was too beat to keep going. Friday we got our first shred on in preparation for the weekend of shreds, first Stanford visit/Clavens shred. We ended up going to a cool Whole Earth festival (Hippy, yes) that goes on every year, and is free. Stumbled upon a couple circles of hack, one of which was an 8 person, and got a full hack. Best hack, though, was with some super chill vendor dude, whom we kicked with for quite some time. Hacks upon hacks with this guy, and even got a dude with one leg to get in the mix. It had been a long day, and there were travels coming, so ended up crashing early, for the last time.

'Twas nice having a travel partner for once, and in no time, we were at Steve's. Perfect timing with the arrival, cause Dave just got back from swooping up Brian when we pulled in. Started up pretty quickly, since Dave was working with limited time. Some of my best baggin' happened here, and got some lovely compliments on my Atomics/sets. Getting well at hitting Bladerunner first try on strong, and only needing a couple tries at flip. Cleaver thought my Rasmus was "textbook", oh joy! Overall, I feel like everyone played pretty darn dandy, and it was great to see Brian rippin' it up again. Ended up smashing on some squares afterwards, before some bombskies pizza. Figured Cassy should see some touristy things, and wanted to chill with Brian more, so we crashed with the Bear to hang out another day in the Bay. Decided that Golden Gate Park was pretty scenic, and there was some free Flagging fest going on, so win-win. Arose and hit up a bangin' farmer's market for some b-fast and what have you, such good foods. Off to the massive Golden Gate Park. Went off exploring, and saw some spectacular nature. There was a path to follow, but I wanted to be in the midst of the forest, so in the midst we went. Found a sweet island waterfall place for some picnic action. All was well, until I got us all turned around, and walked a while in the wrong direction. I seem to get lost often on trips, but I enjoy it. Before getting to the event, stumbled upon some art shows, a snazzy Sax player, and some free swing dancing spot. The Flagging fest was swanky, with some good tunes, and a dude with a giant bubble wand. Got our hack on for a while and just chilled until it was time for things to end. Dropped off the Bear, and waited in traffic to get home. Our first Astronomy lesson would take place, and spent the night hackin' and hangin'.

Woke up wanting to shred, so after some chilling and recovery, went out to the arboretum in Davis (first part of the video) to get down and do some filming. What a grand session it was. We laid out in the sun while it was out and enjoyed the scenery until it got too windy to bare. Showered up, had a hiccup, but was able to move on. Had another late night with the stars and bonding. Somehow, we were still able to shred the next day, which was the last of filming. Did some more yoga post Footbag, and after a while, decided that some deep sleep would be good. Actually ended up getting 12 hours of sleep, off and on, which brought life back to our bodies. Went out for some Sushi, and re-stocked the stars for Astronomy. Oh, what a night. Yay, and shred took place the next day. Also took her to see my grandparents and get some food, they love her, and roped us into coming the next day for goodies. Another night of Astronomy. People were over at my house when we woke up, and she got to meet the other Cassy, my cousin. Once we were all fueled up, got down with another day of shreddage, yay-o. Went back over to the G-parents for some homemade peanut brittle and butterscotch banana bread, chit-chatted for a bit, and was told that my Uncle had wanted to come over and see us, but his lady was sickly. Cassy was brave/nice enough to join me for a quick meet and greet with them, and got to meet a fellow Canadian. Soon, it was time to prepare for weekend round 2, with Skyler!

Brian was not only able to make it out, but swooped us up to carpool out there. What a trooper. He mobbed the whole way, so we were there in no time. Actually beat Skyler and Tasia to her casa while they were out on a food run. Kicked the shit for some time before getting the itch to shred. Tasia has a dope ass house, with all sorts of greatness nearby, foods and shred spots. Hit up some tennis courts and get down. Had a good enough attempt at Bladerunner back-to-back that SkyLon thought I had hit it before, what a compliment. Took a break to coach it up, then went for round 2. Was a bit too aggressive with big Atomic tricks, and just lots of Atomics in general, and ended up straining my hip a bit, but pushed through till the day was done. Hit up some bomb food joint across the street. Spent the night talking away, and playing some cool German game Brian brought, Qwixx. Sleepy time. Not too much of a sleeper, and tend to be the first up, luckily I brought my headphones, and awaited the rest to rise. Soon, it was food time, which was just a 5 minute walk to some really healthy food spot, which was grubbin'. Skyler then took us out to spot on Yuba River that was damn beautiful. Played some hacky on a bridge, then explored the river a bit. Played some made-up rock throwing games, and skipped stones till it was time for some more hacky on the bridge. Lon wanted us to kick the bag off the bridge, but we were too good for that. Hit Atomic ss Leg in pants and non-shred shoes. Headed back to do some real shreddin'. This was where I realized I was too beat for anymore, and had to sit out. Was still a blast watchin' the pros get down. This was also Brian's first back-to-back shred days, and he was working his injury like a mo'fudgin' champ. Tasia ended up crushing it at the end with 169 Toe stalls. Back to the house for more chillin', and Skyler was enjoying being back at shred so much, he kicked off and on throughout the rest of the day. Mainly doing DATW. Tasia made us some dinner, which was amazing. Music was going off, and at some point me and Skyler had a mini dance battle. Sleepy time, then an early rise for the drive back. Take a pic, and head out.

I had got very little sleep that night, and ended up crashing a bit in the car. Brian and Cassy were having fun pooping on some science talk show that was on a college station. Brian got us back safe and sound, and it was time to say good-bye. Luckily, I'll be seeing him next weekend at Cardinal Cup. We shower up, and head out for sushi one last time. Ended up doing some things, and had to remind myself that we are human beings, even if I saw some rainbow lazers. It was the best. Eventually, Cass and I were blubbering about for quite some time. Them bonds. One last class in the Astronomy department, before having to crash. Woke up bright and early, and snuck in some good chills before having to depart. Kinda the worst at good-byes, thankfully, there is a next time. Tried to keep it short and sweet.

Side note: Stoked that I will be playing with Hogan again this year. FUCK yeah.

Vojta: Meant to reply before, but my devices are all messed up, and never saw the comment. You really think so? Snap. Glad ya appreciate 'em. My confidence in DSO is hit and miss. If the video was a minute longer, it would be my favorite, as well. But it's too much of a tease.

Forgot to mention that I hit Omelete *8 shreddin' with the Cassinator.

Can I get a, "Hell, yeah"?

This weekend was the first Cardinal Cup that Stanford put on, and there was a last minute surprise of the Gatesman poppin' in. Was still trying to recover from the previous visit, but eff it. What is recovery and what is sleep? This time around the event was held at Stanford school, where the club kicks on Tuesdays, pretty dope spot. Get there at noon, meet and greet, and start the shreds around 12:30. Dustin showed up, which was rad, had not played with him in quite some time. Shred upon shreds until the competition began. Lot's of people there, and even some randoms. Was forced into doing a routine, and had Alex pick one of his old routine songs for me, since I was not prepared. It was terrible. Didn't really care about the drops, though, there was like 100. Felt like I couldn't sync up with the tunes. Slighty obligated to make/do a better one from here on. Lame.

Shredded with Evan all damn day! After the comp was over, went over to Steve's for pizza and more shreddin'. My word, Evan just doesn't stop. Tried to keep up with him as much as I could. Had a four person circle going till it was just Evan and I, then it was pizza time. Chilled and what not till it was time to dip. I hadn't prepared for Evan to be there, so I didn't bring clothes to crash in for the weekend. But it's cool, just cruised out early in the AM the next day, with all sorts of goodies. Roll to the farmer's market, get some grubbage, and head to one of Brian and Dave's kick spots at City Hall in Mountain View. Fucked up my shoulder pretty bad part way through the kicking, and had to hop out for the day. Luckily, Brian and Evan were putting on a show. Brian was killing it, again! Injury is lookin' dandier by the day. Get some grubbin' Mexican food, after, and then commence with some drinking. Nearly killed the bottle in one sitting, and went out to shoot some hoops. Green Cup tradition. Shoulder was dead, so just goofed off for a bit. Bomb Greek food after that, yummy. Rolled a bleezy, smoked it easy, then head back for sleepy-sleepy.

Brian's Aunt and Uncle are super nice. Woke up, and Brian made up some b-fast. Then proceeded to help Brian's Aunt hang some shizz, and set up a space heater. That cursed thing gave us much trouble, till the manual was found. The DR whipped up some more quick grubs for us before he had to dip. Bear had to swoop some peeps from the airport and what not, so me and Evan got our shred on. Originally was waiting to play at Steve's, later, but Evan got after it, and I couldn't let him play alone. Feel like my body gave up on trying to be dead, cause I played damn near my best at this point. FINALLY hit Bladerunner BS for the World Champ. Dude has inspired me to go hard, and not just hard, but beyond that, as well. Really enjoyed all the play time Evan and I got in, think I was able to absorb some good qualities from Gatesman. Rather enjoy the talks, too.

Ended up being late to Steve's a bit, Brian had more driving to do than he had thought. Met his buddy Fuzzy, who has the coolest name, by far. Head to Steve's for some final 4-square and last shreds before departure. So dead. Of course Evan was going off, and Brian was slaying some things, too. Time for final good-byes and take Evan to the airport. Sneak in some last chats before huggin' it out. Shall be seein' that dude in a couple months. He likes his Poland.

Lots to train for, and not enough time 8O

Nice video, great song. Really liked that final run of yours, went really well with the music.

Do you do much pixie ducking kind of stuff (like assassin and so on?) I think that could be a good addition to your game, which is looking really strong!

You're the best, Allan! Would love to meet ya sometime, USO????????

Danny B, glad ya enjoyed it, and big thanks. Alpine PLO is semi common, but the others aren't that strong. PLUS, my strong Ducking(from Toe) is my flip set. But i have been pushin' 'em since reading your post. Couple more months, dude!

Hay Fever

Only gonna lay down some highlights from today, mainly, and whine about routines. Started working on a routine, it sucks, probably doesn't flow, but don't feel like putting forth the effort to find another tune. And, this one is already mapped out. Routines are, pardon my language, FUCKING hard! Despise, rue, and lament them. Just like to shred, I'm no pro. Was able to accomplish a run at it with only 5 drops, 4 cues hit, and nailed a special segment, though.

Oh yeah, hit Bladerunner back-to-back the other day. Pretty epic, and my first Fearless link.

Today 'dough:
-Butter >near DLO >Butter >P DLO repeat >Butter >Bubbabeats >Butter >P Egg repeat
-DSO *8
-DSO >Double Orbit repeat *2
-Atomic ss Leg *12
-Tap >Atomic ss Pickup repeat >Atomic Leg >Atomic ss Leg repeat (Practically on lock)
-Atomsmasher *11 !!!!!!!
-Pixie Gold (Practically on lock, as well)

Missin' them East Coasters, and them MI peeps.

Hell Yeah! For some reason that picture made me think of this song.

My path along Footbag doesn't count, it was an error, didn't you know Hogan? Grazie, holmes. That compliment makes me feel groovy. Can't get banned, then everyone will think it's cool and do the same.

Tha Boss Mobsta, Blah!

Mainly posting to reply to peeps. Life things are coming up, oh joy. Eased things out with my cousin. My nephew is a boss. A lot of my old homies are getting mixed up in non-sense, as with some current ones. Footbag therapy. Similar shred to yesterday. Still not a fan of working on routines.

Things:
-DSO *10 to handcatch
-Atomic ss Leg *20 to handcatch
-Tap >Atomic ss Pickup repeat >Atomic Leg >Atomic ss Leg repeat >Atomic ss Illusion >Omelette >Atomic ss Illusion >drop
-Pixie Double Orbit (One Side)

Atomic DSO is quite the tricky one, can't seem to either get the set height, or set placement for it, yet.

Poop.

What do you mean by pixie double orbit? all dexes on the same foot? sounds pretty hard. I'm sure you'll have atomic dso coming up quickly. It's great to be able to say see you in Europe NEXT MONTH now!

Yeah, routines are brutal, especially when you're building up a new one. Excited to see how it turns out though.

You should film some of your atomic legover records. I think those could be video world records.

Good luck with atomic dso. That was always a nutkiller for me. :x

Mr. Boyle: Pretty pumped to meet ya, though, can't promise I'll be interesting. Ha. Yeah, Pixie Double Orbit is all three dexes on one leg. Been practicing a lot of planting Double Orbits to speed up the process.

Ken: Don't get too excited, I'm no routine boss, such as yourself. And, kinda falling off on practicing it, maybe by World's it'll be decent. Definitely keeping that in mind, trying not to film until after USO. Though, any record I hit, sure there is someone who can CRUSH it with ease, if they wanted. Interesting, maybe my technique is off, cause I feel Atomic DSO is one of the few times DSO isn't a nutkiller for me.

Only A Few Hundred More Hours

Before Footbag, some boring life stuff. Last weekend I got to hang out with some old homeboys from the block, often forget how oddly comfortable I am in the ghetto. Shoot the shit for a long time, while waiting for a police standoff to cease. Dude just had a BB gun or something really dumb, they had the helicopter flying circles for at least an hour. Finally head back and do some proper chillin' with the crew, where I sadly had too much fun. Believe things are better, now. Due to that, ended up losing a step or two in the Footbag realm, which I am now adamantly working towards getting back. So very grateful to have the dopest of friends through kicking a bag, don't know what I'd do without 'em.

Trying to line up a job for post World's life, pretty sure I have a couple good hits. But we'll see. Chilled with the Stanford peeps this weekend, it was rad. Got some Bear time in, and Alex was rippin' it up. We ended up playing for quite some time just the two of us after Brian dipped. Pretty epic. Afterwards, got to hang with a really good friend, who knows SF damn well. Got us on some guest lists for free, and decimated the dance floor. so many random incidents and free offers. Gay dudes love me, and they be cool. Wanted some alone time, so went out exploring the city, talking the night away. Probably shoulda crashed at her place, but had some plans back in town, so risked the tired drive. Too good at staying up without the use of stims of any sort, fuck sleep. Them Cassy chats, man. Went to my buddy's graduation party, where I was the only white dude there, love it. Some bomb fresh tacos right on the spot. Unreal to hang out with the Middle School peeps. And, it turns out, my buddy is going to be backpacking/studying abroad, and may be able to connect with me in Denmark! Hope NBA Finals goes to game 7.

Footbag. Been thinking a lot about how Evan always says he's just a couple/few hundred hours away from being OK, and I'm not sure I've heard anything more true. Really dig his philosophy towards Footbag, and trying to implement it into my own game. Been paying everyday since Wednesday, and the weather has been great for it. Great, as in, for training, because it's been ~100 degrees outside. I try and make sure to play in the sun, too, cause if I can play for an hour and a half in the 104 sun, then I can play for 4 hours in mid 80 degree weather. Crazy how I can stand this weather, but once it's under 60, it feels like ice outside. My Atomics are starting to get on par with my Pixies, believe it or not. 12 unique contacts. Randomly been trying some Faires, mainly inspired by Bear, and they are kinda there. Brian thinks it's cause of all the Atomic work. Yesterday's session, I was hitting 4-5 unique contacts left and right, and had some fatty strings with like 6 Fairy tricks each side. Working on linking all the shuffle together, now. Fairy muted Clipper BS, and Fairy Egg BS.

On my last pair of Lavers, which is a sad time. Hope that they last until World's. USO is coming up way too quick. Apparently, I'm a beast a stashing money. Thought I was super broke, which I am, but should have enough cash for the USO trip and World's. Brian may be working with limited time, might just be there for Saturday and Sunday. Slightly a bummer, but totally OK if it ends up that way, at least I'll be seeing people. My sister may end up coming back home on July 1st, which could work out for me staying a bit longer. Gotta get all the Hoagie time I can. Trying to be sure I don't just spend time with a select few, and get time with all the peeps, but we shall see. Luckily, a bunch I'll see at World's.

For anyone who reads my shizz, how do you go about training? Most of my sessions are drill sessions, where I try and complete my regiment. But, do you think it's also good to squeeze in sessions where you just try and Freestyle and maybe try new links and what not? Pretty much just play on my own, and try to save the Freestyle for when with others, but do you think it would be wise to Freestyle, say, every 3-4 sessions? Love me some drills, cause I know they are effective.

Love you foo's.

Yes! Not only is it fun to just play, it's a good mental break from the more strict practice sessions.

In addition to that, I don't know how universal this will be, but when the majority of my sessions consisted of really regimented drilling, I started to forget how to play normally when I played with others. Namean? I think it makes sense when you scale the same question down to a single component: "Should I practice Atomics if I want to be able to do Atomics midstring?" -> "Should I freestyle on my own if I want to be able to freestyle with others?"

Drilling is really important, but you also have to practice how to utilize that drilling!

My First 3 Was Double Orbit

Hit Fairy ss DLO BSOS yesterday. Been having a lot of great interactions with people at the park, lately. It's been pretty sweet getting loads of compliments and people taking an interest, even to the point of wanting to buy a "good bag". Had a pretty big audience today of younger kids today, which made celebrations tricky. My music was already bad enough, let alone a grown dude swearing at the top of his lungs, flailing about. The parents weren't the biggest fan of me, and tried to tell the kids to go elsewhere, but I guess I was enticing enough for their attention spans. Added Freestylin' to the drill list, as well as some Fairy -ish. Crushed the bags today, which was very needed, for there may have been fear. It's good coming into a session with no expectations, other than to shred. Played for almost 2 hours with my Ivan 14 from East Coasts.

Dude:
-Kicked through a 4 minute song >50 op Insides >50 op Toes >20 Toe bumps
-116 Tiltless! With EVERYTHING all Symple(Except Pickups from Clipp) and Muted contacts, as well as Ducking Toe from toe and Clipper.
-That one Butter drill with near/far DLO and Bubba.
-Atomic ss Illusion >Omelet repeat
-Pixie Gold, first try.
-Fairy ss Leg is a VERY fun trick.
-45 contact string, almost all Guiltless, almost all Unique! HOT DAYUM!
-Smudge >Omelet repeat >string
-Fairy ss Pickup >ss Egg repeat >string
-String with Smudge and Fudge BSOS.
-Double Orbit >Atomsmasher repeat
-Flip motha' fuckin' RASMUS!

Currently making some bags, too. One for the Bonsleezy is already done, and next up is Ivan's. These 6 stitches are mad fancy, and probably should have a few for USO. Footbag is 'da bomb.

Blowin' up. Those highlights are amazing. All of them.

A bag for me? Oh man, I don't think I deserve it yet... looks like I've gotta film more of my stuff.
I'm used to playing next to playgrounds or basketball courts so you won't be able to tell the difference between me hitting fusion or two consecutive toe stalls. I still tend to mutter at myself when I suck though... so those kids can learn some nice vocabulary and word combinations.
