Just dropped off Cass at the airport, what a glorious almost 2 weeks it has been. I had boasted about how warm it had been, and of course, when she gets here, it's the coolest it's been since March, and never got above 80. She flew in a couple Thursdays ago to Sac, which I am about 15 minutes away from. After doing some catching up, she got all bunkered in, and we walked and chilled till she was too beat to keep going. Friday we got our first shred on in preparation for the weekend of shreds, first Stanford visit/Clavens shred. We ended up going to a cool Whole Earth festival (Hippy, yes) that goes on every year, and is free. Stumbled upon a couple circles of hack, one of which was an 8 person, and got a full hack. Best hack, though, was with some super chill vendor dude, whom we kicked with for quite some time. Hacks upon hacks with this guy, and even got a dude with one leg to get in the mix. It had been a long day, and there were travels coming, so ended up crashing early, for the last time.
'Twas nice having a travel partner for once, and in no time, we were at Steve's. Perfect timing with the arrival, cause Dave just got back from swooping up Brian when we pulled in. Started up pretty quickly, since Dave was working with limited time. Some of my best baggin' happened here, and got some lovely compliments on my Atomics/sets. Getting well at hitting Bladerunner first try on strong, and only needing a couple tries at flip. Cleaver thought my Rasmus was "textbook", oh joy! Overall, I feel like everyone played pretty darn dandy, and it was great to see Brian rippin' it up again. Ended up smashing on some squares afterwards, before some bombskies pizza. Figured Cassy should see some touristy things, and wanted to chill with Brian more, so we crashed with the Bear to hang out another day in the Bay. Decided that Golden Gate Park was pretty scenic, and there was some free Flagging fest going on, so win-win. Arose and hit up a bangin' farmer's market for some b-fast and what have you, such good foods. Off to the massive Golden Gate Park. Went off exploring, and saw some spectacular nature. There was a path to follow, but I wanted to be in the midst of the forest, so in the midst we went. Found a sweet island waterfall place for some picnic action. All was well, until I got us all turned around, and walked a while in the wrong direction. I seem to get lost often on trips, but I enjoy it. Before getting to the event, stumbled upon some art shows, a snazzy Sax player, and some free swing dancing spot. The Flagging fest was swanky, with some good tunes, and a dude with a giant bubble wand. Got our hack on for a while and just chilled until it was time for things to end. Dropped off the Bear, and waited in traffic to get home. Our first Astronomy lesson would take place, and spent the night hackin' and hangin'.
Woke up wanting to shred, so after some chilling and recovery, went out to the arboretum in Davis (first part of the video) to get down and do some filming. What a grand session it was. We laid out in the sun while it was out and enjoyed the scenery until it got too windy to bare. Showered up, had a hiccup, but was able to move on. Had another late night with the stars and bonding. Somehow, we were still able to shred the next day, which was the last of filming. Did some more yoga post Footbag, and after a while, decided that some deep sleep would be good. Actually ended up getting 12 hours of sleep, off and on, which brought life back to our bodies. Went out for some Sushi, and re-stocked the stars for Astronomy. Oh, what a night. Yay, and shred took place the next day. Also took her to see my grandparents and get some food, they love her, and roped us into coming the next day for goodies. Another night of Astronomy. People were over at my house when we woke up, and she got to meet the other Cassy, my cousin. Once we were all fueled up, got down with another day of shreddage, yay-o. Went back over to the G-parents for some homemade peanut brittle and butterscotch banana bread, chit-chatted for a bit, and was told that my Uncle had wanted to come over and see us, but his lady was sickly. Cassy was brave/nice enough to join me for a quick meet and greet with them, and got to meet a fellow Canadian. Soon, it was time to prepare for weekend round 2, with Skyler!
Brian was not only able to make it out, but swooped us up to carpool out there. What a trooper. He mobbed the whole way, so we were there in no time. Actually beat Skyler and Tasia to her casa while they were out on a food run. Kicked the shit for some time before getting the itch to shred. Tasia has a dope ass house, with all sorts of greatness nearby, foods and shred spots. Hit up some tennis courts and get down. Had a good enough attempt at Bladerunner back-to-back that SkyLon thought I had hit it before, what a compliment. Took a break to coach it up, then went for round 2. Was a bit too aggressive with big Atomic tricks, and just lots of Atomics in general, and ended up straining my hip a bit, but pushed through till the day was done. Hit up some bomb food joint across the street. Spent the night talking away, and playing some cool German game Brian brought, Qwixx. Sleepy time. Not too much of a sleeper, and tend to be the first up, luckily I brought my headphones, and awaited the rest to rise. Soon, it was food time, which was just a 5 minute walk to some really healthy food spot, which was grubbin'. Skyler then took us out to spot on Yuba River that was damn beautiful. Played some hacky on a bridge, then explored the river a bit. Played some made-up rock throwing games, and skipped stones till it was time for some more hacky on the bridge. Lon wanted us to kick the bag off the bridge, but we were too good for that. Hit Atomic ss Leg in pants and non-shred shoes. Headed back to do some real shreddin'. This was where I realized I was too beat for anymore, and had to sit out. Was still a blast watchin' the pros get down. This was also Brian's first back-to-back shred days, and he was working his injury like a mo'fudgin' champ. Tasia ended up crushing it at the end with 169 Toe stalls. Back to the house for more chillin', and Skyler was enjoying being back at shred so much, he kicked off and on throughout the rest of the day. Mainly doing DATW. Tasia made us some dinner, which was amazing. Music was going off, and at some point me and Skyler had a mini dance battle. Sleepy time, then an early rise for the drive back. Take a pic, and head out.
I had got very little sleep that night, and ended up crashing a bit in the car. Brian and Cassy were having fun pooping on some science talk show that was on a college station. Brian got us back safe and sound, and it was time to say good-bye. Luckily, I'll be seeing him next weekend at Cardinal Cup. We shower up, and head out for sushi one last time. Ended up doing some things, and had to remind myself that we are human beings, even if I saw some rainbow lazers. It was the best. Eventually, Cass and I were blubbering about for quite some time. Them bonds. One last class in the Astronomy department, before having to crash. Woke up bright and early, and snuck in some good chills before having to depart. Kinda the worst at good-byes, thankfully, there is a next time. Tried to keep it short and sweet.

Side note: Stoked that I will be playing with Hogan again this year. FUCK yeah.
