Montage Confusion
Montage Confusion
Hey guys,
Whenever I see a video clip of a montage, I can't figure out how it gets the Paradox add. Isn't a montage a Spinning Ducking PS Whirl? But to me, it only looks like a spinning ducking symposium whirl; it's the same with whirlwind also. If anyone can explain to me how it gets the pdx add, that would be great! Thanks!

Pdx is always a far dex. When there is no spin this means it's dexed with the setting foot, when there is a spin it means the dex is with the side furthest from the bag. For example spinning pdx whirl set from a clipper is dexed with the opposite foot to the setting foot, while toe set spinnging pdx whirl is dexed with the same foot (unless it's inspinning)
Hope that makes sense!

haha that's great!! Jeremy discreetly inserts a reference to both paradox AND toe set spinning, and then wraps it up with "Hope that makes sense!"while toe set spinnging pdx whirl is dexed with the same foot (unless it's inspinning)
Hope that makes sense!
fantastic

Slightly off topic, but still about montages:
Someone was thinking of diving/zulu montage....
Now seeing as zulu is diving op side and diving is diving ss, montage would have to be diving right? If montage were zulu, wouldn't montage be reduced to "Spinning Zulu Symposium Whirl?"
I'm just confused since spinning messes ducking/diving up a bit and yeah, hope you can answer me on this one...

Paradox=((5N^x^p)-54000aph^np)/adds
Its just about that confusing...

I think the whole concept of spinning and pdx makes perfect sense. You just need to know all the ins and outs of it.
Ok check it- If you set from clip [I'm only gonna talk about clip-set spin moves, since the question wasn't about toe moves], do a spin, and dex with the same leg you set with, it's a gyro whirl, and you won't have to spin nearly as far as you do with spinning pdx whirls. You really only need to spin like 90 degrees, or a quarter spin with gyro whirls. The spin. pdx whirls don't switch sides because they require a complete spin. So you get the pdx add cuz you have to move your body more. That's the gist.
If you do a FULL spin and dex with the same leg you set with, you'll really have to do a spin and a half [roughly], and you get 2 spin adds and no pdx. It's called double gyro.
I won't go into inspinning, cuz that's a whole new can of worms. And then there's X-spin, which I don't know much about.. But I don't think it's official.
