Yeh that would work, I was more reffering to why a major company wouldn't make the game, because they usualy have many other costs besides making the game... or so I think...But you wouldn't have to pay for advertising.
if footbagers tell all the newb footbaggers about it, then those people tell their buds, word of mouth would get the product to the right people. So this company could effectively spend 0 dollars for advertising and promotion. They could actually publish the game and package it in plain jewel cases, no instructions or books of any kind. All they would be paying for is the creation process and the cost of burning a CD (3 cents).
Only problem is I'm pretty sure game companies look to put out a good reputation for themselves and make themselves seem professional as possible, no matter how small scale they are. I think that despite the amount of money saved by selling a game with no bells of whistles (and I use that term loosely, just meaning instructions, box art, etc), most game companies wouldn't do that simply due to having to uphold a professional image and keep a certain reputation.Spadrick wrote:They could actually publish the game and package it in plain jewel cases, no instructions or books of any kind. I have that game. You could hit birds, that was the fun part =/ Adam dude, I was totally thinking about the same kinda thing 3 days ago. I was watching TV and was watching some people play Tony Hawk Underground and was like "Wow, that would be cool if there was a footbag game like that." Work your way up from the bottom, get better by schooling in your garage or something. Have locations like Montreal, Prague, Seattle, Philly, etc. Walk around and be like "you mind if I kick with you?" I think that'd be hilarious and awesome! I think some of the gamers on the board might play that more than shredding though haha. It'd be fun though to play that after a session.HenryG wrote:i agree, it was a great joke. but..... now ill just pretend i didnt read the post that included that question. and it will be humurous still
back on topic, has anyone ever played the California Games for genesis, super nintendo?
it had "Hacky Sack" in it, and it sucked. you could head hit, toe stall, jester, and normal kick and outside kick
the designers of games would not go out to great lengths to figure out how to make each move flow with the other, and they wouldnt search for every move out there.
