This is going to be a long post
What a good session today. I started at roughly 2:30 and ended just before 7 - 4.5 hours. That's incredible, I don't know if I have ever had a single solo session for that long. It must be all the water I'm drinking (2 litres a day).
As I warmed up, I hit a new record for that guilttless drill I do. 28 contacts and that was the very first attempt. Woop woop!
I started it off working pixie sets. That went surprisingly well. I was able to hit a few good pixie combos (Smear > PLO > rpt and Magellan > PLO > rpt). I probably worked them for about 30 - 45 minutes, and decided to stop due to pains in my left shin. It went away later on as the session progressed.
Next I went over Drifters. Not too much to report on them, I managed to hit 5 consec and that's about it. I did a breif overview of DLOs and Eggbeaters. They felt good, though the Eggbeaters sucked a hell of a lot of energy out of my quads. Perhaps I'm a tad out of shape.
I moved on to spinning since it is easier (not so energy consuming). I hit Spin Clip > Gyro Clip x 3. My Gyro Clippers are really bad, so I was happy with this. After some time doing this drill, I somehow made the transition to Spinning Pdx Blenders. After a few attempts, I realized how to hit them more consistantly. I tried for Gangsta Party and had it just off my foot! Arg! I didn't spend too much time with it, and afterwards moved on to normal Blenders.
Next, I decided to do some nuke sets. They were really good - a hell of a lot better than they were before. Aside from hitting Matador, I also hit Sumo and Nuke Osis on both sides. I tried nuke inspinning and had Twinspinning Mirage off my foot. Realizing what I was doing, I decided to hit Inspinning Mirage before going any further with twinspinning. It didn't take long on my stronger side, but it took me a while to learn the ideal height on the other.
Finally, to wrap my session up I went over barraging. I was thrilled to know that it was still there. I hit Janiwalker after a few attempts then went for Sunilwalker. I had it off my foot a dozen times before, without thinking about it, I hit a Barraging ss Butterfly with no plant inbetween the dexes - Muted Sunilwalker. That really caught me off guard and I was all

"Wow, that was a Muted Sunilwalker". I hit Sunilwalker shortly after.
Now, I also decided to go over barraging sets with my left leg even though I didn't expect anything from it. Actually, I was getting frustrated with it. My leg just didn't want to co-operate.
"Fuck," I said. "What the hell is your[my left leg] problem!? You can't move fast enough!"
Ding ding ding!!
If it wasn't going to move fast enough, then I was going to make it. And that's exactly what I did. My poor leg. Now, you must be thinking that that sounds pretty dumb - Why didn't I just move my leg faster before? Well, it's hard to explain. I was really trying to put emphasis with technique, making my leg do a whirling quantum motion (really trying to stress the quantum). Unfortunately, my leg would be just a bit too slow and would always kick the bag on the second dex. So, I just decided to swing my leg in the general motion, disregarding if it was done properly (I later took my camera to see if I was 'the'ing the dexes. Nope, all good). That's where it took off.
I had weakside Janiwalker off my foot so many times after that moment. Finally about 30 - 40 attempts later I hit Janiwalker! I screamed in celebration, did a funky dance, and gave myself a pat on the back. I then hit it on the next attempt right afterwards. AWESOME.
I warmed down by doing 85 consec kicks.
And that was my session today. I'm so glad to have finally got a barraging set with my left leg. I would've gone for Sunilwalker on that side, but after all that work I was just too tired. Oh well. I was glad with what I accomplished anyways
