The book I read is called Bible. Bible is the best sell book in the world. The author of Bible is God. Actually, I have heard that God use human's hands to write this book, so I think the author is God. There's many stories in Bible and I choosed the first chapter to read. The first chapter of Bible is called Genesis.
In the beginning of the play, God created heavens and earth, but the earth was formless and empty and it's covered by darkness. Therefore, God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. God thought light was good, so he seperated the light from darkness. God called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night." On the second day, God seperated the water and the sky. On the third day, God made the water gather in one place and called it "sea" and called the dry ground "land" Then God created plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it. On the fourth day, God created day and night. God also made stars and he set them on the sky to give light on the earth. On the fifth day, God created creatures of the sea and birds on the earth. On the sixth day, God created wild animals on the ground and God also created man in his own image. God also created male and female. God told them to rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground. On the seventh day, God rested because he has finished all his works and he said no one should work on that day.
The next part is talked about Adam and Eve. When God made the earth, there's nothing on it, only stream came up from the earth and watered the whole surface of the ground. God formed the man from the dust of the ground and God planted a garden in the east in Eden. Then God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground and made a river watering the garden from Eden. Later, God took the man and put him in Eden. God thought it was not good for the man to be alone, so he made a woman from the rib of man. God told them that they must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil or you will die.
There was a serpent appear in Eden. The serpent told Eve that she should eat the fruit from the tree God told her not to eat. The serpent told Eve that if she eat the fruits from that tree, her eyes will be opened and she will be like God, knowing good and evil. Eve listened to the serpent and ate the fruits, she also gave one to her husband. After they ate the fruits, their eyes were openend and they realized they were naked. They found something to cover their body and hide in somewhere. When God called to the man. Adam told God that he was afraid because he was naked. God asked him that why he knows he was naked. He told God Eve gave it to him. God then asked Eve why she did that, Eve told God the serpent deceived her, and she ate. God was so angry and kicked them out of Eden. I havent finish it yet, but I found out this is a very entertaining book and I recommended anyone who loves mythology story.
