I was just wondering if anyone here does Poi or has some good info on it.

My friend does this and it's by far the most boring thing in his collection (even fire poi is more boring than just normal juggling).

I dunno, some people like it. Just seems kinda boring to me.

I don't like that vid because it feels/sounds too new age(y) to me; too hippyish. I like spinning poi. It's fun and takes some practice to get good at. I learned how to spin by using 6 inch glowsticks on shoe laces.

Juggling seems boring to me.

We have winter in IL too, and as a 16 year old girl I wasn't allowed to play with fire in the house. Silly parents. Plus you can't do as many wraps with fire poi.

I saw a 4 foot sparkler once.... It was the most amazing thing I ever saw....

I'm not sure what this is considered? A sport? A hobby....?

it can be interesting if you are good but from my experience its ultra boring and i dont get the point. the people that do it are usually really really wierd/ not my scene.

I just thought it was kinda neat. I'm more interested in learning Chinese Whip Chain like in the movie Iron Monkey. This is just a cool non-violent alternative.

I got into poi for a little while.
never got into fire but I used 6" glowsticks. Usually green bc they are the brightest and last the longest.
